I definitely want the Series X more than I could ever want a divorce. Maybe one would lead to the other either way Maybe I'll see you on XBOX Live at some point!

I partially held a Series X controller this afternoon (it was clamped to a display in GAME so couldn't really get my hands around it, sadly ) and I liked what I was feeling I also have small hands but I really hope I don't smell like cabbage, @Hero-of-Time! I think I'm starting to feel like while I may have a decent library of PS4 games built up that I could play on PS5 (which is what I was doing), if I had a Series X is have access to a wealth of games that I don't have access to, such as Rare Replay and Halo. I'm sure to cave if I ever see it in stock but I will almost certainly regret it

A little bit.. but like I say, if I properly think about it I'm probably best not to bother, at least for the moment! I haven't missed the PS5 for a single second since getting rid of it (which was absolutely the correct decision) and when I've played PES 2020 at my brother's on his PS5, I've grown to quite dislike the DualSense. For the most part, it seems to be a great controller but it's just too big for my hands!

I'm underthinking it, if anything If I think about how much I absolutely don't need it at all, I definitely wouldn't be doing it!

I'm feeling a little tempted by a Series X myself, which I really wasn't expecting! Let's hope I can treat myself without the need for divorce!

Christmas 2. June 25th.

I can't really argue with anything you've said about Super Mario 3D World! I've got as far as beating Mystery House Marathon this afternoon meaning only one challenge remains.. and I'm worried about it for some of the reasons you pointed out 😅 As someone running through the game having beat the Wii U original, the changes to collecting the green stars and stamps making progress more straightforward is almost something of a blessing but I do agree that it completely destroys much of the challenge. For the good of the game, it was the wrong decision to change this aspect! Anyway, before I take on Champion's Road, I want to go back and clear a few levels as Mario as my son didn't reach the end of some of them while I was having to go through as Luigi. It may give me the chance to gather a few more lives, though, as Jacob completely obliterated them every time he wanted to join me! Somehow, I don't think 14 is gonna be enough for the final level!

I used to be able to search for PS1 games on PS Store on Google and be able to click through to a filtered selection of only PS1 games on the store and buy then easily there. It doesn't seem to come up, now, and when I looked up PS1 or even specific games that I know we're available on PS3 store, it shows nothing

I was actually gonna look to see if there were any more PS1 games I wanted to download to PS3/PSP before it's impossible to do so.. and I can't find them now 🙄 Would you have any links..?

..and exactly why I shouldn't have picked one up shortly after launch I had figured I would end up with a PS5 eventually so, as has been mentioned, you may as well jump in early as there isn't likely to be a price cut of any real significance for a good few years. Having said that, I wasn't particularly excited for the console other than getting to try out the new DualSense and the launch somewhat coincided with probably the lowest feeling I've ever had from being a Nintendo console owner. I was keeping an eye out for stock of the PS5 Digital (the price seemed more palatable) but one day on my lunch break at work I was out for a walk and an email appeared from BT to say they had some of the £449 model in stock for their customers so I didn't really take time to think about it given the scarcity of the system. With the amount CeX were offering for the system before Christmas and the general demand for the system, it felt like a risk-free opportunity to give the PS5 a go knowing that I could change my mind and not lose any money on it should I have a change of heart. When I got the PS5 set up, updated and installed my library of games, I was absolutely charmed by Astro's Playroom and the feeling of the new controller. At that point, I sort of convinced myself to stick with the console now that I had it! Fast forward a few months and whatever benefits it may have over PS4 have become much less significant and my passion for the Switch has thankfully returned. Add to that the fact that I could still sell my PS5 without ever losing any money on it and it just didn't seem like the £449 spent on it was showing itself to be justifiable over the experience I can have and will still have with PS4. Also, if anything, with my relatively small hands I find the DualShock 4 a little more comfortable to hold than the DualSense! Whatever the case, it has been sold now and I find it oddly liberating

I've had a PS5 since early December (Thanks, BT ) and I'm still yet to purchase a single PS5 game! Astro's Playroom was pretty fun, particularly in discovering all of the cool aspects of the DualSense, but beyond that, I've only added the monthly PS+ games to my library each month but haven't been drawn to play anything other than working through some of the PS4 games I own. There are certainly plenty of PS4 games to enjoy and while it would be nice to experience some of them with the enhanced capabilities afforded by PS5, I don't think the outlay at the moment is anywhere near worth it when I can already play it all on PS4 (and even then, it's fighting for what little time I have available with Switch) With that in mind, I'm selling the PS5 to a fella in work who will likely have more of an appreciation for what it can offer him right now. I'll likely re-evaluate things again in due course (I'm sure I'll be tempted when PES 2022 appears ) but hopefully I can stay well enough disciplined and wait for the inevitable 'slim' in a few years time! PS5 is the first PlayStation I've owned this early in its life and while I didn't suffer any of the early problems that others faced, it largely feels like a mistake in hindsight. If I didn't already have a PS4, the wealth of free content as a PS+ subscriber and the latest 'Play at Home' giveaways would feel exciting and enticing but here we are..

That doesn't seem to be too far away from the truth, unfortunately Bowser's Fury is certainly not a bad extra on top of 3D World but it does kinda feel like it's just some of the good Mario platforming spread out across a considerable space because open world exploration is what is the flavour of the moment right now.. and it's a taste I could largely do without Bowser's Fury never really goes beyond good, though. What's there is fine but when 3D Mario games have generally been top of their class each generation, anything stepping down from that level can it really be a disappointment!

I'm looking forward to Super Mario's 100th for a delicious 100% off Unfortunately, I'll be 100% dead by then..

I'm sure I'll be back to normal next week In fairness, it's amazing what a few games to look forward to can do for your optimism! Mario Golf: Super Rush, No More Heroes 3 and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword may not represent entirely what we need on Switch but it'll be 3 games I'm fairly certain I will enjoy, the latter of which I've been wanting to play again for a while I'm now a little more confident that there will be a couple of nice surprises in the second half of the year too!

I love Super Mario World.. but you're absolutely right It definitely didn't seem too easy when I played it as a child, mind you!

Aw wow.. The Weavernator? I might have to try and watch a bit of that episode
