Out of the loop regarding cloud saves on the Switch, so here's my question: Are they not mandatory for every game? And are they not available for all first party games at least?

Just bought it. The game + DLC is 1€ cheaper when using the Norwegian eShop Also had some gold points left in that region, so in total I spent 3.50€ for everything

I think I'll give the demo a try and see if the gameplay is worth the load times

How long? I'm interested in this one (and the DLCs) but read that load times are inexcusably long. That's a big no-go for me in games like this, i.e. when you have/want to retry a stage more often than not and then have to wait and wait and wait.

No worries. I can definitely make one of those days work. Not sure exactly which one, though, right now. I unlocked it yesterday Only took me 250 or so coins. Anyway, looking forward to tomorrow

@Glen-i I have to mention you again. I'm always in! for the Mario Kart 8 league Edit: I obviously don't have any parts/karts/bikes unlocked so I will probably have to use one of the standard pieces of equipment. I'll try to unlock as many things as I can but not sure how much time I have and I think the unlocks are randomized, which would complicate things even more.

I might actually buy Mario Kart 8 sometime this week. @Glen-i Do I need to have the DLC to take part in the league? Because the game plus new tracks I can't afford right now Edit: Nevermind..the Switch version has all the DLC, right?

Did those Shadows had some kind of special abilities? I didn't take part in that event.

And with a lovely power-deck including Mummified Hand it has been done: The Defect destroys the true boss. This time I might actually take a break from Slay the Spire and wait for the patch. I'd like to beat the final 10 difficulties with each character, but would much rather do it with the buffs/nerfs included in the update.

Breath of the Wild

Two months after my Switch purchase. Am I happy with it? Yes! There are some things I don't like about it. Joy-cons feel like cheap toys, the UI is...to put it nicely...lackluster, Nintendo's games are ridiculously expensive even in sales... Still, it's a lovely device. And it's great to have my three favourite games of all time (Super Mario World, The Binding of Isaac and Slay the Spire) on one device. It's a shame that most exclusives I've played were mediocre. But it can only get better

For Switch. Having played Rebirth on PS4 and knowing what's been added with Afterbirth+ this is incredible value for 16€. And here's a pro-tip: Don't Google image search "Afterbirth+" without adding "video game" or "Isaac"...

This was my main thought behind separate threads. It might also become a little tedious to wade through all the different posts in a single thread for both leagues.

Shouldn't I first learn to draw straight lines, nice circles, etc.? It feels a little intimidating to immediately start with drawing something like an apple.

Always wanted to learn how to draw. Ordered this: DIN A6 blank notebook. Gonna go and get some cheap pencils in town on Monday and just go for it. No idea how to start and what to do exactly, though

Doesn't bode well then, because I'm not feeling the demo...it's obviously a game that harks back to platformers of the old days, i.e. mostly to the original Wonder Boy games. I do appreciate their existence, but I'm not really interested in these kinds of platformers anymore.
