  1. I've played this for 24h over the weekend My team now consists of Larvitar, Houndoom and a spoilery Pokémon (see spoiler tag). Houndooms rare quality, Steamroll, ensures that I won't switch him out anytime soon. I have set myself an ultimate goal: Make Larvitar the strongest Pokémon, i.e. max out all his stats, if there is a relatively reliable way to farm certain items. Do I want to evolve him with the knowledge that it'll get a sandstorm ability? Probably because there's always a nullify band Anyway, my short-term goal:
  2. Just bought this digitally from the US eShop. It's on sale for $39.99 and I was able to get $40 of credit for 27€. Seemed like a no-brainer. Depending on how much time I can invest currently I might take part in this challenge. Probably only as a player for now, though.
  3. Managed to recruit: Wasn't too difficult. Items are definitely key in this game. My Magneton was responsible for confusing the opponent pretty mucht the entire fight. First with wands, then with his attacks. Larvitar and Houndoom unleashed hell And occasionally healed when it was necessary. The newly recruited team member has quite a high level. I might actually remove Magneton and have the above Pokémon in my current go-to team. Love this game. I'll keep playing this for quite a while. Either until I get bored or until Tangledeep is getting a sale in the eShop
  4. I wish there was a way to gauge the difficulty of a dungeon in the menus. It's a little annoying to enter a new one, realize that your level is not high enough and then immediately use an Escape Orb. Not a huge deal but still a weird decision. Also: A "skip all rewards"-button/option would be great
  5. Reached Platinum rank just now. Not sure what exactly I want to do, now that I've started the post-game journey. I think I'll just keep completing random missions.
  6. Credits have rolled. It took me almost exactly 16 hours to beat the story. What a game. Great rogue-like, but a little on the easy side. The true game begins now, however. At leats according to certain people here But first: it's time for a good night's sleep. 16 hours of video gaming in two days...been a long time since I've done this
  7. Wonderful idea. Would be a great one after Fake News if we decide to keep it
  8. @Glen-i What should I know about evolutions? I haven't started the final dungeon, but I'm already interested in the mechanics. Does evolving a Pokémon come with increased stats? I just got a Larvitar, one of my favourite Pokémon and I'd like to know whether I should level him up now for a while or wait and evolve him first. Would the latter method net higher stats?
  9. Slay the Spire. OH MY GOD, YOU STARTED THIS GAME BEFORE PLAYING SLAY THE SPIRE? Wait, what?
  10. Yeah, I usually recruited 2 or 3 Pokémon, but 80% of the bosses wrecked them anyway and I didn't wanna waste Revive Seeds on them Having a hard time recruiting Pokémon anyway, because I keep forgetting that the leader has to deal the killing blow...
  11. Machop and Psyduck are at 28, Houndoom is at 30. Way to downplay my amazing skillz
  12. In a month a lot of international students are coming to my town wanting to study at the university. I'm one of the people in charge of their first few days in Aachen. One part of the scoial program is PowerPoint Karaoke. The premise is simple: a group of 2-3 people get a PowerPoint presentation that they've never seen before (hopefully ) and they have to present it. We already have an assortment of topics. E.g.: Giraffes, are they real or not? Bonobos 5 life hacks for traffic jams Those were received well, regardless of the presenters. Other topics like Condoms or Fake News not so much. Obviously, the presenters are mostly responsible for the entertainment, but we could definitely use more ideas for presentations. Ideas that are a bit "out there", freaky, weird, inherently funny. Maybe some of you can help
  13. I would assume that I've reached the final dungeon of the main story. The previous dungeon was quite easy. One Pokémon that I've never seen before (some kind of fire snail) had a mean AoE attack, other than that it was not difficult at all. My team has been Machop, Psyduck and Houndoom for the majority of the game. The ability Steamroll seems a little OP. Haven't had to change Pokémon since I've acquired Houndoom
  14. I liked it for the story, but I'm not fond of the way the game was handled during that time. I didn't have any difficulties, though, so not a huge deal. Anyway, can't stop playing, need help.
  15. Pff, it's the best combo there is and I will risk everything to make it work Sometime in Spring, was Megacrit's answer to the question. They should really find a different publisher for their next game. Humblebundle is horrible when it comes to delivering patches...
  16. Thanks for the info I have to say...wasn't very fond of a certain sequence of events. Anyway, thankfully it's over I doubt grinding rank points is worthwhile right now. I need a lot to increase my rank. I think I'll just stick with the plot for now.
  17. There are 55 reported cases in the region around the city where I live. 15 of those are actually in my city (Aachen). Numbers are taken from a report from 10.15am this morning. A couple of schools are now closed and will be for at least a week. Will be an interesting month. Aachen has an internationally renowned university and in April a new semester will start which means: Lots and lots of international students will arrive, new German students will start their education...many people will spend time together. Thankfully, the universitsy has already taken lots of precautions (enrollment can only be done online, for example). I'll keep doing my thing, which is: wash my hands regularly and don't panic. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX keeps me locked up anyways
  18. Hehe. I'm stuck at rescuing other teams Question for all the veterans: Am I understanding correctly that once a move is powered it it'll be powered up for every Pokémon that will ever learn it throughout the entire playthrough? Edit: And I assume that your Pokémon don't evolve simply by reaching higher levels?
  19. 7 hours in, here are my thoughts: the missing HP par/info isn't really an issue; it would be nice to have all the info, but the game works just fine without it seems like items/item management is what the game is all about the RNG involved in acquiring new Pokémon is quite annoying already I'm not very far in but so far the game is quite easy, especially because I figured out early that items are apparently the most important aspect of the game the game's absolutely gorgeous Anyway. Just woke up. Gonna make some coffee and then it's time to play
  20. Are you talking about the online rescues? What exactly are they for?
  21. You can'st stop me grinding
  22. And here I thought it's necessary to rank up a lot I just keep doing requests from the bulletin board. The first time I fought against a stronger monster (the one's that are marked as such), I owned it. After that I've been destroyed during every new encounter with one of them.
  23. Welp, I've played this for 3 hours straight with a short lunch break. It's quite addictive. Haven't advanced the story much...but that's how I roll Reached Bronze rank and "caught" a few Pokémon. I think Machop was a horrible choice. He's quite useless compared to Psyduck, for example. The latter has a long range attack which is kind of OP. Machop rarely gets the chance to attack...
  24. In case you wanna get Enter the Gungeon for 5 bucks (the price translates to approx 5€ in Germany), go the Russian eShop and buy it
