@Glen-i just FYI, I have another playing session lined up in about 60-90 minutes.
-
In 10 minutes?
-
UI hints?
-
@Glen-i since I won't be leaving my flat for the weekend, you up for another session? Do we have to replay some levels for the DK coins, by the way?

Source 10 PS4 games not playable on PS5. Thankfully My Name is Mayo isn't on that list.

I'm still able to "experience" spiciness and the likes. I just can't taste the food itself, if that makes any sense. -

I will now start to complain more on the internet... My doctor called and the test was positive. Not surprising. What now? YOU GUESSED IT. Gotta wait for a call from the local health authorities. Then I'll most likely have to send them a list of people I got in contact with and then I'm pretty much done...I hope. Thankfully, it's been only three people I've seen. My two flatmates (though, they've spend the last 10 days with their partners) and my best mate. Also: I figured out that I can also taste chocolate a little bit. Yay. -

It is. I'm able to taste soy sauce just a little bit. Other than that...nothing. Thanks I mean, I can't speak for the entirety of Germany, but it has been very annoying and exhausting for me. Everyone on my sister's contact list has gotten a call from the local health authorities last Friday, they all got tested the same day and have gotten their test result later that day or the Monday after. My timeline: Got a call from the local health authorities the Monday after. Was able to get tested the day after. Still waiting for the result. I have no idea why it's been such a shit show... -
I also like the Series S/X design. SO? WHAT NOW?
-
For me it'll be: A nice looking console that is insanely good at cooling (apparently). Then again, @Glen-i just told me that I have no taste so...who am I to talk...

I think I've passed the "high point". Still got the sniffles and feel a little weak, but health seems to be improving. No taste and smell will be annoying, though, especially since the latter will take approx. 2 months to recover. In other news: Still haven't gotten my test result. You'd think they'd be fast with the tests given it's a pandemic... What a shitshow this has been for me. -
Started playing Suikoden. Always wanted to see what the fuss is about Suikoden II, so I figured I'd give the series a proper go by starting with the first game. So far...it's very slow and the battle system is very bare-bones. The menus (equipment, items) are crap. You have to manually move items between characters. One item at a time...Off to a bad start gameplay-wise, to be honest. Story and characters are intriguing, though. Let's see if the game keeps my attention long enough.

Ah, so we're back to "my preferred console looks better, and your preferred console is ugly"?

The combat is fun. But I have to admit: I have no intention of getting back to the game, because: In my "more than 20 hours" of play time (it's what my Switch profile tells me) I haven't see a lot of different builds. Especially compared to The Binding of Isaac and Enter the Gungeon the so called "synergies" are a little lackluster. You eventually have 5 weapons available, each with certain skill sets to unlock which put the focus on different attacks. It doesn't change the game too much. Boons (passive skills) you get throughout a run usually don't entirely change much with regards to how you approach battles. The game excels at story progression. It's what sets it apart from other games in that genre. Death is often something you embrace, maybe even long for (if you enjoy the lore, that is). I bought Hades with the early discount (19.99 €) and don't regret it one bit.

Just got an email from Sony confirming it. In other news: The PS5 teardown video is almost at 2 million views. Insane.

So many will die just to cool the PS5
-
To all of you hardware/engineering people here: Why is liquid metal better than thermal paste? What is a vapor chamber and why is the heat sink built to work like one? Edit: Nevermind, I was bored and looked it up myself. The PS5 seems to be engineered with a lot of cooling in mind They listened to those who suffer from jet-engines in their living rooms.

Turn on CC. I know pretty much nothing about how any of this works, but it sure looks nice. Removing the side panels seems to be very easy. Good for those who don't like the colour and want to replace them eventually. Also: The side panels are pretty much the things that make this console so large. Without 'em it doesn't seem that big.

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered — Coming 2019 (PS4/Switch/PC)
drahkon replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
Just finished the game. Quite a good Final Fantasy, but probably the weakest I've played so far (not counting FFXIII and FFXV) The junction system is interesting and it can break the game, which is always a plus in my book. However, the fact that you need to remain on low levels to really appreciate the game breaking shenanigans sucks. The story...was ok. Characters were a little bland but I liked how... Playing the remastered versions of FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX really showed how slow these games are The 3x boost is a godsend. -
The devs said no. I'm not expecting any PS5 title on PS+ for a while. It'll most likely continue to consist of PS4 titles (which will also be playable on PS5, of course). My guess is: The first true PS5 game on PS+ will arrive in August next year.

Ridiculous situation over here... Got a call from the local health authorities. The lady told me she won't put me in quarantine because I've shown symptoms 3 days after contact with my sister. You're only put in quarantine if you show symptoms 2 days after contact. Asked her what kind of stupid reason that is, but she told me that's what she's gotta do. I also got told to talk to my doctor for a test. So I called my doctor and the lady told me I need written confirmation from the local health authorities that I need this test. Coolcoolcoolcoolcool. Now the local health authorities are closed and I can't get in contact with them. Still got an appointment for tomorrow at my doctor's but they told me I need to get that confirmation by then. So I wrote an email to the health authorities and now all I can do is wait. Also called other doctors near me but they are on the same trip... This is the worst display of anything health related I've ever experienced... I'm this close to just taking the week off from work, keeping myself locked up in my home for another week and wait until I'm healthy again...not ideal, obviously, but what can I do... Edit: Welp, you just gotta complain on the internet. Got in touch with a different doctor via email 'cause I couldn't get hold of them via phone. Just now I gotta call from them and it looks like I'll be tested tomorrow at 11am. -
