  1. That is the correct answer. Sadly, very few. Tangledeep springs to mind (you do have the option to turn it into a rogue-lite, though, but that's for wusses). And of course, Spelunky 2 (and the first one). Made some progress with Hades. Managed to beat the second boss Run's not over, yet. I'm using the bow which I unlocked and it's awesome. Plays much safer than the sword. Ok, that's enough from me. I'm going back to the game
  2. IT'S NOT A ROGUELIKE
  3. There's a new rogue-lite in town and it's bloody incredible. Trust me, I've played it for 30 minutes. I've barely scratched the surface but there's already so much to see and experience. I'm currently on my second escape attempt, meaning I've died once (spikes...immediately after I was victorious against a mini-boss). Looks like story progress comes mostly from interactions with others after you meet your demise. As is standard with Supergiant Games, the voice acting is great. It's also a gorgeous game. There's so much polish everywhere. And the soundtrack...a banger. Managed to beat what I assume is the first real boss (there was a big life bar at the top of the screen, the sign of a boss). It was a tough fight. Had to rely on "death defiance", the first permanent upgrade I acquired. It brought me back to life with half my HP. Can only be used once per run (at least for now), so I gotta be more careful now. Will this become my new "hey, you gotta buy this"-game? Probably. By the way, you need to buy Crypt of the Necrodancer and Slay the Spire.
  4. I shouldn't do it. I shouldn't spend the money. But it's on sale. And it's a roguelite. And it's apparently amazing. And I bought it.
  5. I could do 6pm (UK time)?
  6. @S.C.G I won't be able to make it on Saturday How about Friday night?
  7. No, you playing that garbage JRPG doesn't make me feel better.
  8. Yooo, I know why they did it I just don't think it's representative. Newcomers might be taken aback once they start the game
  9. But I need my coffee now Anyway, I think they should've made the trailer a little more realistic. One-shotting these enemies, while possible later on, isn't very representative of the game
  10. Pff, why don't you just leave this one and stay with your cool, new and updated forums?
  11. Holy hell, you completed Super Mario Sunshine and more than half of Super Mario 64 in a day? How many hours have been glued to the screen yesterday?
  12. Will be interesting to see if that'll turn out to be true. (not trying to throw shade, by the way) I think there's a lot of demand for the new Xbox. More than we expect.
  13. But when will I be able to drink my coffee
  14. I did. And the "first" runs were pretty good. Still haven't beaten the game, yet, though Learnt a few valuable lessons...
  15. I will most likely get it for PS4. If I end up having a PS5, cool But I won't wait for the PS5 upgrade to play it. Haven't seen much of it (only one trailer) but it's enough to know that I will love it.
  16. Earlier today the game crashed and apparently corrupted my save file. All progress lost and the uploaded backup was from quite a while ago I might just start from scratch.
  17. I swear to god, the only time it happened to me was because it was lagging like crazy I pressed the button, it didn't register...but I thought: why not press the button to lay down a card after that? That was a mistake Anyway, I much prefer games like these. The lag isn't too much of a problem and there's at least some strategy involved
  18. Good games
  19. I know, but maybe one match with the highest number of rounds would be nicer. Or just two with 5.
  20. Maybe reduce the amount of rounds we play for next time? This is getting a little boring, to be honest.
  21. OK... guys? That's enough for the second round
  22. @Glen-i You seem to be well versed with Super Mario Sunshine. I've only ever beaten it once, but I intend to do it again and this time going for 100%. The Blue Coins, however, scare me a little. You mentioned there 240? Any advice on how to best approach collecting them? Also: Do you get a Shine for collecting 100 coins in a level? Also: How does the Pianta at the airport play the guitar? He has a thumb and only one other finger. ONE HUGE EFFING FINGER. Also: FLUDD is one scary robot. He seems to have the ability to scan everyone's face/body and immediately recognize who that is. WHY DOES HE HAVE A FACIAL RECOGNITION SYSTEM?
  23. Of course. Being a fan of Games Done Quick I've come across the occasional randomizer runs. Always wanted to try one, but I don't know the games well enough to figure stuff out, I fear. I'll probably get stuck very quickly.
