You got time tonight after Clubhouse? Edit: Nevermind, I forgot that the German football league starts tonight. Gonna watch that during hour Clubhouse session and focus on the match afterwards.

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered — Coming 2019 (PS4/Switch/PC)
drahkon replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
I don't remember much from my first playthrough 8 million years ago, but I do remember that the final boss was piss easy. That was before the internet so I didn't even know about the low-level shenanigans. I'm sure I'll be fine Also: I've not leveled up for the entire first disc. This'll help, too. -
We all know who's really not going to get a PS5 until next year
-
Last year, my best mate played through his Game Cube copy. I was there when he reached the pachinko machine. I said to him: "Have fun, this is gonna make you rage". He did it first try. He had a lot of trouble with fucking Phantamanta, though I should get at least one copy today. I might actually play Super Mario Sunshine by myself, since my mate played it last year.

I'm not very good at this

That's why you always draw and keep your junctions up to date -
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered — Coming 2019 (PS4/Switch/PC)

I've put my playthrough (on Switch) on hold for quite a while. Now that I'm done with FFVII Remake I've decided that it's time to get back to it. I've also decided that it's time to fuck the no-leveling thingy. I've done it for 9 hours, managed to breeze through Disc 1 but I dunno...it just doesn't feel right to skip all battles. I know how the junction system works so enemies scaling (or rather becoming much stronger) probably won't be a huge deal -
Looking good. I'm interested

Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase (17th September 2020)
drahkon replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Nah, it's the cold, hard truth now... I'll reserve judgement until I've seen more, though. It didn't look too bad from that first trailer. Won't be able to watch the 15 minutes of Monster Hunter right away, but will give it a look later -
As expected, my copy from Amazon hasn't arrived. To be fair, it's not release day Thankfully, I've ordered a second copy which I can pick up tomorrow. Really hope both copies will be mine, tomorrow, though. My sister (who has only become a real gamer 2 years ago) needs to play these games

If I'll be able to afford the PS5, I doubt I'll get any accessory for a while. The only one I'd be interested in, would be the headphones, but I'm hoping that my current 3rd party pair will work with the new console. In other news, here's an interview with Jim Ryan (if it's been posted before, sorry).

Finished Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Gameplay was meh. I really didn't like the battle system and RNG based leveling. Story was ok. Went a bit apeshit at the end, but that's par for FFVII Looking forward to how the next part of FFVII Remake handles the character(s) of Crisis Core. Overall, not a bad experience but certainly not the best.

The quote doesn't necessarily mean they've always been going 100% for the new generation. Anyways, Sony definitely made life harder for themselves. Gonna be interesting to see how they sell the PS5 versions compared to the PS4 ones.
-
What exactly did they say at first? I can only recall something akin to "We believe in a generational leap". This doesn't necessarily mean that they wouldn't support PS4 for a while. And before some people throw a fit: I'm not defending Sony, I just want to know what was said.
-
That's also fair. With some games also coming to PS4, it's nice to have the option
-
Fair enough There's no reason to get a new console if the games don't appeal to you. For me, there's quite a lot I'm interested in so an upgrade makes sense.
-
Oh boy, this is all very exciting. I'm a 30 year old man, getting giddy with excitement. Mainly because I got my pre-order in and now I'm set to make it work (hopefully I'll be able to...). But also seeing many peeps here getting hyped and pre-ordering their console is awesome Can't wait to read through the same myriad of posts in the Xbox thread, even though I won't get one.
-
Interesting. It was smooth sailing over here at Amazon.de. The regular PS5 was up first, but the DE followed shortly after. Still, everything's sold out
-
You know what, I did some research and it seems to be correct. Ragnarök. I always thought it was Ragnarøk. I guess this is the Norse spelling.
-
As far as I know, it's still very, very popular with kids. I imagine that many would nag their parents for "the new, upgraded version with PS5" for Christmas. Whether those parents will actually be able to get one, is a different thing
-
Still think it's weird that they spell it Ragnarök. Anyways, @Julius, why haven't you created a thread for the Hogwarts thingy?
-
Pre-orders seem to be selling out fast. Looks like Sony's doing something right.
-
This.
-
While mistakes can happen, this is quite a blunder. The person(s) responsible will clearly be in a bit of trouble Still, great that they cleared it up quickly.
-
In Germany, you don't have to pay upfront. I pre-ordered one and says that payment will process once the console is dispatched. You reminded me: My birthday is at the end of Novemeber I might try to convince my family to give me money before that Edit: He, I skipped @Sheikah's response to your post. Sorry
