Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase (17th September 2020)
drahkon replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Rumours are that a new Monster Hunter game will be announced... WHY? After Monster Hunter World the series should stay away from handhelds forever -
If you're not getting tired of me, I'm in Is DKC2 the one that got a Game Boy version? Edit: Nevermind, I think I'm confusing it with Donkey Kong Land 2. By the way, I've never played a Donkey Kong game on SNES. Well...I started them all but never finished them.
-
Yeah, I've been expecting quite a lot of leaks, given what we've seen in recent weeks. Guess Sony has nothing worthwhile to show. They're doomed. Pack up, boys. Watch how this will come to haunt me tomorrow
-
I'm by no means a Spelunky expert. I never finished the first one (only played it for a few hours). But I can say: Spelunky 2 KICKS. MY. ASS. And I love it. It's beautifully difficult. So much fun to figure out how to approach...well...everything. Managed to reach 2-2 (yay!) and died because I found a challenge and tried to be sneaky by circumventing a certain limit with a bomb. Welp...turns out you shouldn't do that And finally we get a game that is actually a roguelike and not a roguelite
-
Source Just FYI.
-
Haven't played this as much as I wanted to, but will definitely put in more time tonight. Did 6 runs and only once did I reach 2-1 Spelunky 2 is relentless. And adding to that, I've played too recklessly. Need to be much more careful.

If they really sell all of those by March...colour me impressed All these rumours, predictions and leaks are nothing to me right now. I just want to see the 40 minute video tomorrow...

Out now on PS4, coming to PC on September 29th. As one of the two huge roguelike/roguelite games to spark an entire armada of releases, the original Spelunky has been regarded as a pretty much perfect game for a decade. Secrets have been discovered, speedruns have been crushed, players have been destroyed. As of today, we get to experience the highly anticipated sequel and if we are to believe reviewers, then this installment is nothing short of a masterpiece. I bought the game this morning and just had my first run. It was yet another display of my amazing skills.
-
No idea which came first, but yeah it's a remaster.
-
@Julius That OST truly is incredible. You have still two more tracks left. My favourite ones of FFIX By the way, which version are you playing? The original or the "remaster"?
-
Well...there really was no way around it. I think this is a nice game to play in between sessions of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and whatever comes after that. Gonna start my first run soon
-
There it is: It popped exactly at midnight And I didn't even know that this would be my... ...77th Platinum. As I mentioned before: Some trophies were straight up annoying to get. But it was worth it. This game deserved my time and I just had to get all the meaningless, digital cups. Hard Mode was intense at times. I died three times overall. Not once during what's supposed to be the most difficult battle. But I did die during the final fight. Oh boy... Final Fantasy VII Remake I'll say it again: A spectacular re-imagining of a classic that revolutionized JRPGs. Quite literally every single aspect of this remake captures the original and builds upon it to create something that is both new and old. A perfect mix of nostalgia and fresh experiences. For me, two moments - or rather fights stood out. (obviously spoilers ahead).

Can I just say: The biggest bs in SMB3 are the doors which, when you exit them, put you on a conveyor belt with lava beneath you. Usually I don't panic in video games, but this shit, man...
-
I know of a few that will annoy me...red coins with wing cap, red coins underwater and pretty much everything else underwater because water levels SUCK (unless you're called Rayman Legends).
-
Good lad. Man, that "Sharing the game" video always makes me laugh.
-
Probably none. As this forum surely must know by now: I am a master at video games. My recent adventures with Super Mario Bros. 3 prove it. And @Glen-i will vouch for that. HE WILL!
-
During the last showcase it was only me and good ol' @S.C.G in the N-E Chat. I'll be there again on Wednesday and hope to see some more

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time (PS4/XBoxOne)
drahkon replied to ThiophenSJ's topic in Other Consoles
I've got nothing... -
Yeah, these prices have been rumoured for a long time now. I'm confident that this will be it.
-
Soooo...I totally forgot about Spelunky 2. And that it will be released tomorrow. Thanks to reviews hitting my go-to gaming news sites I got reminded. And looking at those reviews...it seems to be perfection. SHIT. Didn't want to spend more money on games this month, given that I've already pre-ordered Super Mario 3D All-Stars, but I think there's no way around it
-
Yeah, I did the same. I bought the PS versions ages ago but never played them Now that I've hacked my Vita I'll just stick to the original versions (or patched).
-
Just did some "research" and apparently there's a so called "FFVI - Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition" and it is regarded as the "definitive version". I think I'll go with that. But first...FFVII Remake Platinum and Crisis Core: FFVII. Will take me quite a while longer
-
Well, it'll be my first playthrough. And given how I play JRPGs...you gotta add at least 10 hours of grinding here and there The problem I'm facing: There are approximately 6 million versions of the game...I'm leaning towards the PSP port. Edit: Nevermind, I was confused. I think it'll be the GBA version for me.

2 million views for a showcase trailer. Insane. Getting more and more excited
