Awesome! Sony's approach to upcoming games seems to work wonders. Case in point: Returnal. With previews being generally positive there's a huge buzz on the internet for the game which seems to permeate into the "casual" audience. And before these previews, they showed bits and pieces of the game to slowly build hype. I can see the upcoming SoP being the start of something similar for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

Thanks. Couldn't sleep well last night so I also did some research myself. Went with these: They're supposed to be pretty good for the price I paid (33€). Hope they deliver what's promised.

A question for the runners here: Anybody got recommendations for Bluetooth earphones? Only have a tight budget, so anything around 30€ would be fine. Just need some with a nice enough sound quality that don't fall out of my ears while running I hate running with cable-bound earphones so I wanna get a wireless pair.

Watched the Noclip documentary. First of all: They respected the 22 minute rule. The madlads I got tense when that song first kicked in. Secondly, the people behind the game are so bloody smart. Not only with respect to the science(fiction) but they seem to really understand what's possible in video games I think Outer Wilds should be played by game devs everywhere. They need to be inspired by it.

Finished it. What an amazing experience this was. Not "game of the year", not "game of the decade", not "game of the generation"...it's "game of the medium video games". An absolute masterpiece that entangles (heh) narrative and gameplay. The way the story unfolds via your own hands, your own actions and - in my opinion most importantly - at your pace is nothing short of incredible. Outer Wilds is a perfect example of how something can only be done with our beloved medium. This wouldn't work in a book, movie, whatever. I lack the words to give it as much praise as I want to. Everybody at least has to give it a chance.

OH MY GOODNESS. This was possibly the coolest and most engaging puzzle I've ever had to solve. Absolutely amazing. With a few bits and bytes of new information and everything I've learned before, I'm pretty sure I now know how to get to the end. Have to confirm one more thing, though: Edit: It is confirmed. Now that I know what to do, it feels like the end of my journey is near. I'll get to it tomorrow. Can't wait

Everything I've seen so far is Housemarque's quality we've come to love upped to a level that I could not have anticipated Haven't seen too many videos/gifs, though, as I wanna experience as much as I can on my own. But man...it's tempting to not just load up a 45 minute preview video and digest it. Thanks. Unless every previewer so far has been lying, I'm pretty sure I will. Friday can't come soon enough...

I have not. Only got two trophies: Dying in 60 seconds and using Oxygen for fuel Did some more exploration inside Dark Bramble... So...not a lot of progress tonight. There are still some areas marked with "There is more to explore here" on my ship's log. I should probably go back and try to find some new information. Knowing myself, however, I'll most likely go back to Dark Bramble, check for some other signals and try to not die.

Oh, I always do. But sometimes I don't wanna fly 20km to a planet manually. So I engage the autopilot, grab my phone and take a nice, hot plasma bath in the sun 'cause the autopilot thinks "LOL, I'll show him".

Some members there remind me of a few lines in System of a Down's banger track Cigaro. "My cock is much bigger than yours My cock can walk right through the door" Aaaanyway, the sand has risen, I learned something new but I have no idea how to use that information. Which holds true for a lot of new stuff I learned in recent loops. Outer Wilds has the right amount of creepiness for me. Some mild jump-scares (probably nothing for most people, but for me it's more than enough ) and an overall eerie and slightly threatening atmosphere. Only two things annoy me: There are quite a few technical hiccups, i.e. frame drops. They can take you out of the moment which sucks big time in a game like this. And the autopilot...man, it do be dumb at times Made me crash into the sun while navigating to a planet...at least I got a trophy out of it (die within 60 seconds of a new loop).

I'm just here to wait for the sand to rise. And to avoid the Game Pass thread.

As a freeloader who siphons Netflix and other streaming services from my sister, this Video Pass probably won't do much for me But having anime streaming services on it would be great. Anyway, if this rumour/speculation is true, PS+ increases even more in value. I doubt this'll be Sony's last PS+ "change"/addition.
