  1. He forgot the [ ], so it stayed open
  2. Gone Home (PC) - really enjoyed this. Had to check it out after seeing it scoop a ton of 9.5 - 10 scores. Basically it's an interactive story driven game where you investigate your family home to find out why nobody is there. There is a great level of detail to the objects you discover and it's really interesting getting to know the family through journal entries and notes. Short game, maybe a few hours, but definitely worth playing.
  3. Yup, that explains it. They're also more common in women.
  4. lol, these are all last generation though. :p
  5. I think Majora's Mask nailed it for me. Obviously a lot smaller than Wind Waker's sea, but it actually had stuff to do everywhere. In fact, scratch that, Wind Waker's overworld was not big. It was just deceptive. Small islands separated by long stretches of blue with no landmarks in between. It was just some kind of trick; once they created the sea, all they needed to do was input the length of time sailing in one direction to reach somewhere. That's not really engaging for the player. I'd have been much happier if the world was smaller, but rather than a scripted sea with random enemy spawns they could have actually put more landmarks in and stuff to do.
  6. Hmm...I would have thought that would be a lot of data if it's in 4K. Do they need some kind of high capacity Blu Ray disc?
  7. Insanely good deal on a PS3 bundle at the moment for anyone who doesn't have one. £189.99 for a PS3 500GB with The Last of Us, GTAV and season 1 of Breaking Bad (use promotional code toonarmani) at GAME.
  8. I dunno, on my Vita it seems to have created an icon for games I have put in my Vita before (e.g. Rayman Origins, Persona 4, Virtue's Last Reward) even though they're no longer inserted. Could be all that stuff is actually on his card though. In other news, I completed Spelunky today (not via the Hell route though). Will be cool to play with my brother next week via Vita/PS3 and aim for that. Jetpack + shotgun combo ftw.
  9. Are the horrendous load times cut out of the digital version? That pretty much killed the PS1 version for me. Loved the GBA version though.
  10. Why not? Rarely are lynches so 'guaranteed'. I've said over and over that it's not a certainty that you'll flip Mafia, but given everything we know about you it's worth the lynch. We're not going to lose from this.
  11. Wow...ShopTo are selling the Vita at £140. Crazy price, think it's a deal though. Still, £25 cheaper than the 3DS XL is really quite something.
  12. @Raining_again I know you're town since I investigated you N1, but it's very unlikely anyone is going to switch to a Cube lynch based on just 'heavy handed roleblocker'. Also remember that Cube was quick to reveal that Jonnas was untargetable, adding greatly to the likeliness of his lynch. Would you consider switching to a Rummy lynch? That goes for @EEVILMURRAY and @Dedede too. A recap on why: - He claims to be a dumb cop immediately after being outed as being inaccurate by me - Refrained from the Jonnas Mafia lynch - Pushed for DuD's lynch quite strongly when he says he suspected his results may not be accurate - Was backed up by Yvonne - a confirmed Mafioso - Listed a group of people he trusted the least, which were the most trustworthy players in the game (including you Raining) Importantly, we are in a strong position and can afford the lynch if we're wrong. Lastly, I'd ask people to remember that Aqui1a protected Jonnas at least one night and has had only a couple of posts this whole game. He deserves targeting if Rummy turns town on a lynch and we haven't won. And naturally I'd ask for some protection tonight.
  13. I don't know what these supposed adverts in Motionjoy are. I've never had any.
  14. There is a big difference between taking inspiration from other ideas to make something still relatively fresh and condensing gameplay down to a formula, and releasing sequel after sequel using said formula. I mean, how can the next Zelda ever truly be regarded as the best Zelda if it follows the same cookie cutter formula? If you have to travel through dungeons collecting small keys, then the boss key, then defeat the boss, then get heart container, then repeat 6 or 7 more times, all the while grabbing the master sword, the bow, the boomerang, etc - it's hardly going to enthrall people. It's safe territory that guarantees them cash, because people will enjoy it, but we've seen and done it all before. What made Smash Bros, Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Resident Evil 4 and Donkey Kong Country so cherished was that they brought us really cool gameplay in a way we hadn't seen before. Sure, it gets harder to do as time passes, but do we really just accept sequel after sequel using the same concept? Shake it up more! Screw little keys and big keys! We have done this all before! I doubt many of you feel the same way, but I'm bored of their conservatism.
  15. Some of these games being mentioned aren't being made by Nintendo, which was my original point about specifically Nintendo being content. And really, you can't compare their new things like Nintendoland to the quality of games they used to invent. Regarding sequels, they're going to be more polished than their predecessors so from an objective standpoint you could say they're 'better'. But from the perspective of people who have played the previous games in the series, they're just reusing the same strict formulas which we've seen time and time again. It's hard to be wowed when you've seen if all before.
  16. The reason it'll be hard for a new Zelda to have the same impact as OoT is because they are following a tight formula that OoT laid down. That's what Nintendo are doing with most of their franchises these days. So long as they try to deliver roughly the same package, they're not going to be any more impressive. Dungeons and gameplay elements largely play out the same throughout the Zelda games, so why is a new game going to blow people out of the water any more? It's why people remember Resident Evil 4 as a really good game - it was a new concept; they reinvented the series and people really liked it. The same with Metroid Prime - a new concept / delivery that people really liked (not that people didn't like the old format, heh). The thing about Nintendo is that they're not really trying to do that any more. They're content. They have their tightly defined standards and their sequels conform to them.
  17. To say that though is a bit of a joke. Most of the games Nintendo made for Wii are nowhere near the level of originality and quality of games like Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, Majora's Mask, Super Mario World and Super Smash Brothers/Melee. When these games were first made for their respective consoles, they were ground-breaking. The Wii was a massive disappointment for me. You've rightly mentioned Galaxy, but most of their other big games for the system were either formulaic sequels or had nowhere near the impact that the above games did. If you look at game popularity contests, it's mostly the games I've just mentioned that top the lists, so I know I'm not alone in thinking this.
  18. So the Vita version is going to get a free patch for the missing content (which was a game mode, not actually new levels). Quite pleased with this! Happy because the Vita version of Origins always felt like it looked and played better than the console versions.
  19. Just looked at their selection (not a Netflix member) and saw A Girl Who Leapt Through Time. That film is well worth watching.
  20. Shadow Hearts 1 and 2. I freaking loved these games. Still one of the best uses of a turn based battle system and had some really great characters. The ending to the second game was a real tear-jerker... Damn, I loved these games...
  21. It's good and I do this too but it pisses me off that button prompts are the 360 buttons. It takes me a second or two to perform the translation in my head about what I should be pressing.
  22. Hook, line and sinker.
  23. Lynch this foo. Plx.
  24. Yup. Then went back to targeting himself after accusing DuD! Like he suddenly lost his new found confidence in his results. Combine this with assistance from Yvonne (role verification) and his omission from Jonnas's lynch! Together this suggests one lynch-worthy mofo. That shit only works with a precedent. :p BTW if Rummy turns town I suggest Aqui1a. Remember that Jonnas was off the keyboard 2 nights in a fucking row! (Sorry, drunk). Protecting the dude people were trying to lynch? ISH don't thinksh show!
  25. Are people really shitting themselves over a (likely) single Mafioso? For shame.
