If you didn't get a PM back then that means your action was successful. Some game organisers only send PMs back if you're supposed to receive information or if your action didn't go to plan, to reduce the amount of PMs they need to send out.

FF games are all about the characters for me. The warring kingdoms shiz in XII half put me to sleep. What really annoyed me in XII as well was that Basche was going to be the main character, one of the few characters that could have been interesting, then they switched him out for a weedy little kid.

Well, most critics would disagree. :p I got so bored of MH3U. It has to be the most grind-fest non MMORPG I've ever played... repeatedly slaying the same monsters to farm materials gets old quickly. Also the story may as well be non existent. I preferred Phantasy Star Online, which at least had a cool setting and didn't make you farm enemies to the same extent to get by.

I would be quite happy for XII to stay where it came from if I'm being honest. That game felt so soulless/charm deficient compared to X.

No it means that you both roleblocked Yvonne, stopping him from doing his action, while a killer simultaneously killed him. The only way you could have facilitated his death is if he was a protector protecting himself against only night kills. But that wasn't the case.

How the heck can they shoehorn Lightning into this? Unless you're joking. :p Maybe a demo/beta included to test the next XIII game or something, but they did that with FFX originally I thought (or maybe it was a demo for FFX included with another game, I forget). Mind you, they managed to get Lightning into XIV, but everyone knows that game exists to extort its consumer base.

Honestly, this is one of the few that I have ever played/seen that has appeared to be done badly (other than FPS issues). That stuff you were saying about the MGS remaster missing content etc just seemed really insubstantial / nit picky. Because let's face it, it's usually hard to make games look worse than they originally did in SD unless you really don't know what you're doing. Except here, they actually managed it. :p

Couldn't find a topic on this and other remasters get their own. I'm really looking forward to this. It just got a 'this winter' release window which I'm hoping still means this year, and not early next. Anyway...back to Spira in lovely HD. Personally I'm holding out for the Vita versions provided they run well, seeing as my fat PS3 has seen better days and will likely be retired in the not too distant future. Looks great, apart from the odd choice to make Tidus look pale. FFX was one of my favourite PS2 games and one of the few games I was ever truly hyped for its release, having developed a thirst for the series by playing VI-IX in a short space of time. Looking forward to reliving the memories.

Wow...the PS2 version had it removed? What was the reason for this...madness? The cel shading of the character models was what gave this game its charm. Silly buggers.

Does your game of the generation change every game? Pretty sure you were saying that about Rayman Legends too. :p

There's nothing really killer to buy in the first few months so I'm not that bothered.

ReZ said night phases are 24 hours and even said what time the next day would start. People are getting sloppy with getting their targets in promptly. @Dedede, can you tell us why you thought it was a flying Pokemon that did the kill when you got no PM back?

I was kinda surprised by the decision to focus on coins too (haven't played this yet). I mean, coins are one of the least useful collectibles out of pretty much all video games. I always cruise through Mario games stacked with lives. So pointless. Sonic had it right. One hit and you lose them all. Actually most of the time if you're tasked with collecting a load of stuff/completing the hardest quest in the game, there usually is a reward. Often the reward is useless by that point as you've pretty much confirmed that you've done everything the game has to offer. But you still get something. *Fuck you lousy 151 Pokemon certificate* :p

Truly a sad indictment of the times that a remake of MH Tri can best a remake of the brilliant Persona 4 by something like 8 times the sales. What the fuck is wrong with people. Japan be crazies.

I would say an overall number is ok but the individual scores (e.g. graphics) aren't really needed. Like here, people were wondering how the game got an 8 when all the other scores were 4 and 5. But really, some of them individual scores don't matter so much in terms of what you ultimately felt about the game. Some games are awesome but could fall short in a number of those areas.
