It is because they know they're going to upgrade to a PS4 anyway (since Nintendo offers a completely different experience and Xbox is non existent) and the thought of being able to play games they regularly play is enough to push people. Games like FFXIV on PS4 I can easily imagine having the graphical quality of the PC version while being noticeably clippy compared to the version on PS3. That's a game people play day after day so I have no problem believing that people would want a 'superior' version of it on a console they're going to buy at some point anyway. Also remember that to Japan, a lot of these are actually like exclusives! (Except if you count PC). Nintendo aren't offering all of these, and they don't bother with the Xbox.

Yup. Xbox may as well not exist in Japan so there's really no competition for them. And the Wii U is doing shit. I wouldn't say that it's a bad lineup for Japan, in terms of what they want. They bloody love Dynasty Warriors and FF Online (in the form of XI, love which will no doubt transfer to XIV).

The vast majority of Vita games have non compulsory touch controls. In terms of games out now that I have, only LittleBigPlanet actually needs touch.

Make Link point the Wind Waker in the direction he wants the wind to go in real time to continuously/immediately control the wind direction. Integrity of Wind Waker magical function intact? Check. No 15 second interruption introduced when changing course? Check. How it should have gone.

OK, so I'm gonna ask the obvious. Why do the Mafia keep targeting DuD? Do they have a death wish? Something worth bearing in mind because I find that odd. Considering the Mafia have died twice from DuD now and that DuD often switches himself, they must be a bit mad if this is what is really happening.

Just an FYI - so far I returned results on raining (town) and Yvonne (although Yvonne probably got switched with DuD, hence a town verdict, even though the result said it was on Yvonne. Either it was a result on DuD or Yvonne appeared good on investigation). Basically, if Aqui1a flips town then clearly I am dumb cop (or some other crap went down), in which case Raining could be Mafia. But as it stands, I'm going to believe I'm straight cop for now.

You can get the Zelda WW edition from GAME for the same price as with Zavvi if you enter the code CLOUDSEPT13 or GAMEPAL. Probably better to order from GAME. The Wii U premium on its own can also apparently be found for £198 in Costco stores, and £199 in Waitrose Food and Home stores. Could be region specific with those though.

You guys tried out Gone Home? Just played it yesterday, neat little story game that has been sweeping some good reviews.

Majora's Mask overworld wasn't bland; while technically much smaller it had a lot of stuff to do across the vast majority of it (unlike OoT). Also remember that in the place of overworld were lots of cool connecting zones that had content in it, which wasn't seen in Wind Waker. Most of the islands in Wind Waker, bar a few and those with dungeons, weren't really that large either. Navigation in Wind Waker was sailing across identical blue sea with a random generator in place for monsters. It was cheap, and after a little while got boring. It was made worse by having to stop to change the wind direction - a lot more jarring and less fun than turning Epona with the control stick. It comes down to whether you really felt like you were navigating an ocean, or whether you saw it as a cheap method of making a game seem a lot larger than it actually was. Unfortunately I fell into the latter group.
