Watched Shazam on Saturday. I really enjoyed it, even if my wife was a bit lukewarm about it. It was really pleasing that the majority of it hadn't been included in the trailers at all, so most of it was a surprise (admittedly i knew nothing about the superhero, or the premise beforehand other than Chuck was in it, and therefore it would be great). It was a bit slow to get going, but didn't feel too long, and the last 20 mins were great. It was one of those films where the sequel looks like it might be better than the first one though.

I've lost a certain amount of enthusiasm for this film when I found out that they didn't have an overarching plot for the whole trilogy planned out beforehand. They've basically been making it up as they go along, which seems incredible to me for a billion dollar film franchise. Makes me worry that the final film won't tie up the other two films very well.

My shields can't repel hype of this magnitude!

What If sounds pretty cool. I would watch that if I ever ended up paying for Disney+.

Got my tickets to see it on the Saturday. Only have to remain spoiler free for three days!

I only played the first mission or two of this, and then went to go and play Yakuza 0 instead. After finishing that, I wasn't sure I was in the mood to get stuck into this, but having fired it up over the weekend, I remembered just how much i loved JC games. There's nothing quite like the feeling of launching yourself off a cliff and zipping down towards the enemy base. Really loving the addition of the magic balloons as well. Was playing around with one of those huge round refinery tanks; ripped off all the feet to loosen it, then attached several floaty balloons to the top. Finally attached some boosters to the side, hopped on, and rode my spherical steed to victory! Or at least, i rode it until some fucker shot at it, and it blew up, killing me in the process. Really itching to get back home and play it some more!

Watched S1 of My Hero Academia. It's ok... definitely has potential, but the first season is really slow, and not much happens. Every episode seems to consist of 10 mins of summing up what happened + flashbacks, then 5 mins of stuff happening, then 10 mins of discussing what just happened. They all stand about analysing exactly what each punch means, and explaining everything. It makes the fights seem really slow and cumbersome. Anyway, I'm starting S2 because I am really enjoying the superhero school vibe. It's very X-Men.

I cut my own hair, and as such have never been to a hairdressers. I've been tempted in the past, but now I worry that I'd do something foolish that would signal me out as a weirdo who didn't know what the normal hairdressing procedure was. So I will continue to just cut my own and wonder what could have been...

Yakuza 0 has a pretty good story. Bit melodramatic at times, but memorable.

In all honesty, probably none of those, but it's good that Nintendo are having such a busy month.
