Sorry to hear that @Cookyman but I’m glad to hear the operations have gone well. Hope everything is a lot more positive for you going forward.

This is looking good. I’ve had the book on my kindle wish list for years but never actually got round to buying it.

At this point I think I'm just gonna wait for Discovery season 4 to finish and watch it all at once when Paramount+ launches in the UK this summer. I haven't actually seen any of this season's episodes yet.

Been playing WWE 2K22 this weekend. Despite not watching WWE for a few years I still have a soft spot for wrestling games so it was a nice surprise when I started hearing this one was actually worth getting again. As I mentioned in the Wrasslin thread I do wish it had a better roster but not a lot you can do there with the people they currently have. I'm just glad they didn't hastily remove all the people they let go over the last year. As people have said it seems like a much better product than most of the previous versions and they definitely needed that extra year's development. Just spending my time at the moment messing about with Rey Mysterio's showcase mode and trying to unlock a load of wrestlers.

Sad to say but I might start selling off my SNES and Mega Drive collections. They just never get touched anymore.

Well I'm enjoying it so far. Taking me some time to get used to the new counter system but one thing I'm really glad is back is the choice to have button mashing for kick outs. For some reason I could just never get the timing right the old way. Only real complaint would be a knock against the WWE product I guess and say the roster is just a bit boring. I just did a Rumble and barely knew who anyone was and because they all seem to wear the same attire it just made it all the harder to figure out.

Despite having not watched WWE in years at this point I still tend to pick up their games so I'm just downloading WWE 2K22. I've heard good things about this version so I'm actually quite looking forward to playing it.

I thought it was fine. Nothing special but nothing terrible either. -

Why hasn't that actually been included as a car in one of these games??? I'd love to drive that again!

Started Turtles and am liking it so thought I’d add the first IDW Transformers collection to the purchase list as well.

Few more omnis since I got paid along with some IDW comics I’ve never read:

Just finished the first ep of season 2. I still enjoyed the first season but it’s amazing how much better this episode was and how much it felt like Star Trek again. Very happy.
-
No sign of Picard season 2 yet on Amazon. Slightly worrying given the mess the rights to Discovery turned into.

I don't tend to like driving games like the GT series but for some reason I'm actually quite interested in playing this one.

I'm happy as I mostly wanted to use Funimation for dubbed shows but their streaming was some of the worst I've ever used and it didn't always show you as a premium user even though you were. If Crunchyroll works better than I'll be happy to resub. -
Crazy end to the Carabao Cup final. I hate penalty shootouts but gotta give it to both teams with the amount scored.

Hopefully it’s a bit more playable then. Despite everything I still would like to replay all of these on the Steam Deck. -
I think the first load of Steam Deck preorder emails are due out today

Got offered an extra 5 hours a week work at the school today arranging cover for lessons from 7.15-8.15am before I come into work. Told them I'd think about it but I'm pretty sure I'll say no. The extra money would be great but there's a reason this role has always been a senior teachers job and that's because they actually know what is needed to cover lessons and which teachers are suitable etc, I don't. My boss actually led with how it's causing the currently person a lot of stress and I think I am even less suited to it than she is. Also doesn't help that I hate my current job and am actively searching for anything elsewhere but I'm not close enough to leaving yet to tell them that for now!
