Good chat with Jeff Gerstmann and Adam Boyes which is worth listening to if you have the time. I don't watch a lot of Jeff's stuff anymore since he split off on his own as I think he works better with someone to play off so it was nice to see him chatting with Adam again who used to appear on Giant Bomb all the time and it's interesting to hear Adam's views on the industry given how many places he's worked and with his new consulting company that if it takes off, sounds like it could be pretty good for gaming.

Finally got around to buying the game, went with the Android version. Only done a bit so far but it seems fun. Should be a good new game to play while I'm also watching TV.

Just got the email to say I didn't get into the Switch experience event in London. Anyone else manage to?

At my old one they filled in forms and had to agree to it if we ever used any photos and no names or tagging. Only a few ever opted out.

I think quite a few schools still use Facebook as their main social media site, I know the one I worked at did. I work at the moment managing the social media for the early years childcare department in a council and despite the usual talk of Facebook being for millennials like myself, we still get the most traction from it with younger parents.

I've shifted mainly to Threads but do have a Blue sky account. Might switch again more to Blue Sky given Meta's changes lately.

The amount of moves that could easily be sythes cutting grass in their games I think it would be easier than you think for them to make. We may even see them do the next Farming Sim game, who knows.

Looks like one I'll be interested in playing. Don't think I've played Ninja Garden since the original Xbox and if I remember right I was pretty terrible at it.

Finally got around to watching the rest of The Three Body Problem after in watched the first episode a while ago then switched to the book. I enjoyed it for the most part. Probably prefer the book overall but they did a good job adapting the story and the new characters they created for this version seemed to work pretty well. Need to get back to the other books now as I know this first season has already spoiled a couple of story points from the 2nd and 3rd books for me.

Same for me now I think about it.

If I had to guess I'd think it was an auto refresh problem when the site is checking if we have any notifications so it can show them on the notification bell.

I don't think I've had that particular one but I have had an error when I leave the site open in a tab and come back to it later and it's just a black screen with dos looking text at the top. Usually fixes itself if I go back a page. That's been happening about a week as well.

I just don't see how we're going to keep hold of this lead the way we've been playing lately.

Playing through Yakuza 0 again at the moment after I rebought them all on PSN. Been a while so it's been nice to get back to Kamurocho. Not doing as much side stuff this time though as I'm more interested in the main story and with this being a new game plus save I'm fine for money and stats. Need to get as far as I can though before Final Fantasy VII Rebirth comes to Steam next week as I'll want to start that straight away after waiting all this time.

I'd just like some quality of life stuff, like not having to carry all crafting materials with you to build something.

LTT's video on the Switch 2 brought up an interesting point about the sales numbers for the Switch and how they don't see the Switch 2 getting near them. A lot of the Switch numbers were from multiple devices in the same home and while you could assume at least one of those might get an upgrade, it's less likely that the others would, especially if games start off releasing for both systems.

Wonder when we might see the next Animal Crossing. As usual that could be one of the few games that would pull me back but I also feel like it's a massive game in the "cozy gaming" craze you see over social media these days which would be a big reason for that demographic to buy the Switch 2.

Gave up trying to add a friend and just put myself in for the Sunday 10am draw.

Not easy to setup a friend to go with you is it 😡

The only problem with that is that it's missing the duct tape holding them together which provides at least 25% extra stickyjoules.

I might try installing it on my PC and Legion Go when it comes out so I can jump between the two. I've got about a week off just after it launches so I'm looking forward to finally playing it.

It feels like Nintendo brought a lot of these leaks upon themselves by holding back information for so long, having their video after CES when they knew companies would want to be showcasing their tech for the year.
