  1. Brilliant first half. Obviously not happy with Spurs scoring so many but thankfully at no point did you ever think we wouldn't just come back and score another.
  2. Rewatching trailers like this is always dangerous for me and my wallet. It's got me looking at what Superman omnibus' came out since I stopped collecting those...
  3. Thankfully I get Paramount Plus included for free with a Sky Cinema subscription so I never had to pay. With the amount of Star Trek I watch though I probably still would have.
  4. Just finished watching the final episode of Lower Decks. I'm gonna miss that show, it just got Star Trek.
  5. I think its a promising start and has me more hopeful for Superman than the DCEU did, despite liking Henry Cavill. I do think they've added too many characters, feels like they're falling into the same trap of trying to build a Marvel style universe too quickly again but we'll see how it turns out.
  6. Lol yep I had the exact same reaction. I need to pause it on Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner as well as that looked a bit too comic accurate and cheesy on the flash we saw.
  7. Got my Steam Replay for 2024. No surprise that Spelunky is top again, that game really does have a hold over me!
  8. It's exciting to see that smart glasses are starting to progress again. Apparently there are rumours that Google will be releasing some glasses in 2025 so hopefully that will get some more Android features into them.
  9. The only other pair I've been tempted by so far are the Even Realities G1 glasses. Watching a video with someone testing the live translate looked amazing. https://www.evenrealities.com/en-GB/
  10. There are loads of retro handhelds that are also 4:3, the lower spec ones tend to use that. The more powerful ones can take advantage of the 16:9 screen to play Android games, emulate newer systems or streaming current stuff.
  11. Just backed the new version of the Odin 2 handheld that I use for retro and Android gaming. New chip and a 7" oled screen instead of the 6" lcd one in my current version. Should start shipping in January. I almost got the black version so 4:3 games blended better with the handheld for no obvious black bars but that Gamecube purple looked too nice.
  12. Unfortunately I've had to return them for a refund. They work really well with my laptop and other devices but there's an issue when connecting to newer Pixel devices where the glasses display just random turns off but audio continues. As using them for travel would be a big want for me, I need them to work consistently with my phone. The glasses themselves though when working were pretty great. I watched some Youtube which came out nice and crisp. Playing Spider-Man with them connected to my Legion Go worked really well. They did look a bit bigger on my face than in some Youtube videos I'd watched but I think I would have gotten used to it. The Ones seem to be the way to go as well with no extra adapters to connect. I switched between follow and anchor modes depending on what I was doing and both worked well. No motion sickness or headaches either which is always a plus.
  13. Hopefully this turns out well, I used to like that original game back in the day.
  14. Started a new Animal Crossing town on the Gamecube for some nostalgia. Despite the later games being better this was the one I always think of when I think of Animal Crossing, especially at Christmas. Still remember getting a friend to import my copy from Australia so I could play it.
  15. So funny reading mine ending with "What a year". 3 games played, 15 hours total 🤣
  16. Bought some Xreal One AR glasses. I've always wanted a pair and I think this latest release has finally gotten them a point where I was happy buying them. I've tested them so far with my phone, laptop and Legion Go, all working great. They're something I can see myself chucking in a bag to use on trains or in hotels etc (they're just a bit too big to walk around town without drawing attention to yourself unlike something like the Meta glasses) but I'm also interested in trying them for work as you get get multi monitor views.
  17. Just finished reading Three-Body Problem. I thought it was an interesting story, a lot of the science probably went over my head but I felt like I grasped enough of it to understand what was being talked about. Definitely expected early aspects of the story to hang around longer than they did but I thought it was well written (especially for a translated story) and kept me engaged throughout. I've seen the first episode of the Netflix adaptation but decided to stick with the book after that so now I'm done next time I've got a Netflix subscription I'll probably watch the rest as I'm interested to see the differences. If anyone else has read it, do you know if the next books are just as good? I'm going to switch to a different series for now as I need a break but I would be interested to come back if they're good. Moving onto Revelation Space by Alastair Reynolds next. Apparently its the basis for a lot of the Mass Effect story and universe so I'm looking forward to seeing how that compares.
  18. I ended up falling asleep on the sofa last night for the entire match so I've only just watched the highlights. For fucks sake Kelleher...
  19. Typical, the 16th ep is the one where everyone falls in love with the anime immediately!
  20. Yeah fair enough. I think that's what ended up drawing me to it, although happy go lucky only lasts for so long in each arc.
  21. Did you end up sticking with One Piece @Hero-of-Time?
  22. Happy Liverpool are in front but I'm a bit worried we're going to regret all those missed chances...
