Couple of new books. Might get vol.2 of Fantastic Four if I enjoy it but that’s probably it after that in the hopes that I’ll need to save money for my Steam Deck preorder.

Microsoft Acquires Activision Blizzard

Just finished watching the first episode of Moon Knight on Disney+. I thought it was quite a good start and I'm interested to see where it goes. I don't know too much about the character as I've only ever read him when he's appeared in other characters books so it's quite nice for once going into one of these not know the whole backstop for someone.

I remember listening to the Giant Bombcast back when Spec Ops came out and there was definitely a big shift in opinion from one week to the next on the quality of the game. Basically the same as reading @drahkon's posts in the retro thread. It was a hard game to show without being able to explain why it was worth sticking with it. A lot of the advertising at the beginning if I remember right was to do with the sand physics when you shoot windows etc 😆
-
It's been so many years since I played it but there definitely is a turning point. I just can't remember when.
-
So basically what we all figured from the leaks then. I'm not too bothered on the pricing as you'll just be able to get it cheaper elsewhere like people do now. As with most people it'll depend on what games are on the service for if I subscribe but the last time I looked at the PS Now list I thought it looked ok. A lot of my gaming priorities and planning at the moment however is shifting towards the Steam Deck and my PC so it'll depend how early in Q2 I get my Deck. If it's closer to June then I doubt I'll sub straight away.

I never really had an issue with the gameplay. It was a bit simplistic but with the narrative being the big hook I didn’t mind.

If he ends up staying in Bel-Air after this with his aunt and uncle then I might agree that it was staged

It did look a bit like an "acting" slap but maybe that's just how Will Smith does it now after so many years. As Julius said the part afterwards definitely felt real. With it being such a long walk up to Chris Rock I do wonder if he regretted getting up at any point but felt like he was beyond the point of no return 😆
-
I probably should have made it clear I was being sarcastic 😆 I'm amazed Will Smith didn't get chucked out. I get that they won't have wanted to, especially given his upcoming award later in the night but it really reflects much worse on them for not chucking out a person who assaulted someone, no matter who it was. I do think Chris Rock was a dick for the joke though. I first found out about all this because I follow a tech/gaming reviewer/dev on twitter who just happens to also be a Will Smith and has the @willsmith account. He was having an interesting night 😆

Anything interesting happen at the Oscars last night?
-
I really should start reading it soon. It’s just sitting on my shelf at the moment, silently judging me.

Ah right

Didn’t they make PS Now games downloadable as well a few years ago?

It’s actually really interesting watching this unfold. With gamepass I’ve always felt that in the long run it couldn’t be sustained for the price they were offering it for and the compensation they’d have to be paying publishers to get games on day 1 etc and it feels like that’s possibly what we’re seeing here with Sony’s version. Feels like a battle between short term and long term planning (not sure if I’m explaining my point very well so apologies if I’m not getting it across). Ive said before with gamepass that it’s not a service I’m all that interested in and I like to own my games so I doubt I’ll get this but as I also said before, a retro version of these services would peak my interest so I’ll be watching out for that. It was what always tempted me with PS Now.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (2022)
Happenstance replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
The original comment also never mentioned commercial success anyway, that was added in later. -
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (5th April 2022)
Happenstance replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
I might grab it when it gets a bit of a discount on PC. Got a bit burnt out on Lego games a few years ago. Still a shame about the voice acting. I just prefer Lego games without it. -

Yeah it was -
I saw someone mention that in one of the endings Ciri had a cat medallion so it could be pointing to her as the main character. I think I’d probably prefer that to a create a character approach but I wouldn’t mind if they went that way.

I'd say 2, 4 and Lost Legacy are great games. 1 is good and 3 I hated.

Decided to just go for mix and match for now, fill in gaps with omnibus’ in the Spider-man collection. Ordered a few new books anyway.
-
Debating whether or not to sell off my Spider-man tpb collection so I can rebuy the omnibus’. I am starting to prefer the omnibus format but it’s such a hassle to list and post everything

Really hoping I'm in an early allocation for the Q2 Steam Decks that should start shipping at the beginning of April because the more I watch on it the more I'm getting excited for it, especially after I realised I won't need to dual boot for emulation purposes.
