That's a Panasonic LCD. Also, what are you comparing the sound too? Most people seem to expect built-in speakers to have the same jump in quality as the picture.

Well the RPGs I played last gen consist of: Kotor 1&2 Baten Kaitos 1st and prequel Tales of Symphonia FFX&XII DQVIII Neverwinter Nights Fable Advent Rising Fire Emblem Golden Sun There are likely more, but point is, for the time being P3FES has some stiff competition. -
I actually just bought a PS2 about a week ago. I already had some games to play on a friends console though, so I'll list those out too. Persona 3 FES (bought, want to get P4 in case they go out of stock and don't come back) Final Fantasy X (bought it doesn't work, but that's okay I've played about 6 hours of it before and didn't like it) Yakuza (had and highly recommend) Yakuza 2 (same as the first) Dark Cloud (bought and I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it yet in this thread. For shame) Sly Cooper (bought the first, very fun and but kinda short) Shadow of the Colossus (had, and it's just so great. Buy it!) I've played (about 60 hours) FFXII before, I didn't dislike it nearly as much as X or VIII but it still fails to reach even the levels of VII or IX much less any of the IV-VI levels.

That does make sense. There is no reason a company should make it's own games compete with each other for a gamers purchase. A little waiting period inbetween to replenish funds and play the other games makes perfect sense.

2010 is only 6 months away. Of course I have no idea how that relates to a US release so it may be completely retarded.

You didn't buy Two Worlds at launch then. It had a major bug that basically blocked off about half the world map making the game impossible to beat, the patch came like two months later and rendered all previous saves useless which means you'd have to start the game again. I'm speaking about the US 360 version btw. That's something that should make it to release.

I seem to have missed that post somehow. I don't care one way or the other about the censoring, but the pics that were censored were blurry and the colors didn't pop as much. I didn't like that. Hopefully it's something to do with the TV rather than the version of game, since pedrocasilva's screens look fine in that respect.

I almost picked this up two days ago then decided to wait on it. I already spent $50 and didn't want to bump upto $100.

I'm not so sure about Valhalla Knights to be honest. I'm intrigued by it, but the others on PSP weren't well received. I'd have to play it myself to be sure though. As of now it stands as a possible rental. Also, here most of those are being published by Xseed :p

The thing about TS, is it's a multiplayer affair. It's like UT but wackier, nothing like having a deathmatch against a monkey armed to the teeth. Those damn monkeys, they're so short that they give an advantage of being hard to aim at. But as I was saying, I can understand not loving it. -

To be honest, there are a few things I thought of that would be a bit on the distasteful side.

That's why you ask advice on forums. People will give their personal accounts of the TV's they've used/owned. If you can't do that, you find out the good brands and stick to them. Don't go to cheap on any set, but that doesn't mean go for broke.

Actually our over-the-air transmissions are now all Digital too. Generally just convertered with a little box at home. I don't know how that looks though.

No I'm not taking the Piss, I'm talking over the air Analog vs Digital signals. Digital is better. Maybe it's different in the UK, but here ATSC is a clear advantage over NTSC, of course iirc PAL is better than NTSC other than that 50/60Hz thing that I don't understand.

It's a Samsung Plasma. 50" I say it kinda rudely, but I'm not trying to be. Samsung is only just starting out with Plasmas so there shouldn't be too many variations is all. I recommend either Samsung or Panasonic Plasmas.

This. DTV (not necessarily HD, just digital) looks better. LCDs can deliver fantastic results, take for instance you likely posted this thread on a PC using an LCD monitor. Of course I still stand-by that Plasma's deliver the best picture.

Bright colors are bad though, eyecatching. Cops'll notice you a lot easier. And I'm not against curvy looks, I just don't like the way the Lotus looks.

Urgh, I just don't like the look of Lotus's. Too many odd dips and curves. Still, I wouldn't complain if I had to drive/own one.
