Crap.. Which means I'll need to get all the figures I want asap. Wasn't planning on spending that much on them in such a short time.. I was waiting for the Christmas sale, but I assume that's going to be too late. Depends on which ones you need. The ones that didn't sell anyway, will become cheaper.. The ones that are already hard to find, will become much more expensive.

All those WWII games from years ago made me lose my interest in that setting. WWI is fresh though.. Definitely interested in this though I hope they get the balance between fantasy gameplay and realism right.. It seems to be a bit too epic. For those who don't realise, there already is a FPS game on Steam with the WWI setting. It's in early-access, but last time I checked comments were positive I believe.

Not sure. I suspect something like this: Iron man / Avengers / Guardians of the Galaxy / Captain America: winter soldier / Captain America: civil war Thor: the dark world / Ant-man / Avengers: age of Ultron Captain America Thor Iron man 2 / Iron man 3 I'd have to rewatch The Hulk, but I suspect I'd place it next to the first Captain America.

I'm fucking around with anaglyph again. For those who have the red/cyan 3D glasses (don't look at it too long..):

Welcome to the new millenium :p. I just started watching iZombie, Dutch Netflix put it online today. I always suspected it would cater to the Buffy & Angel fans. It doesn't quite have the same vibe, but so far I'm liking it.

You should be able to get your money back if it's within 2 weeks, no questions asked: https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/5704 If it's over 2 weeks.. Then I still wouldn't leave it at that, £ 400,- is a bit much to throw away. I'm sure you can think of other stuff to do with that money. If you've exhausted all options, at the very least remember to cancel your current subscription, you don't want to lose another £ 400,- next year.
-
Ah yes, of course. I'm thinking a credit card is used then.. You should be able to get your money back through the credit card company.
-
I'm glad to see more people enjoying the game. It's fun to see your predictions as well. Let me be an ass, and tell you that one of you is way off, and leave it at that :p.

I don't know what payment option is used (why the hell do they have your payment information anyway?), but depending on the method, you may still be able to get it back if you contact your bank / credit card company / whatever. That, or start using LinkedIn like the professional you are. Maybe you can actually start climbing up the ladder. Start pestering all those higherups, ask when they're playing golf etc.
-
How badly do you want to keep using your LinkedIn account? There's always the option of.. not paying.

Apparently, Alicia Vikander is the new Lara Croft. I approve.

Serious reply, though I'll keep it short. It's simply excellent. I have 2 minor gripes, but with the overall film being excellent they're negligible. Spider-man's introduction is forced. Objectively speaking, his introduction scene was not much better than the Batman vs Superman meta-human cameos, and I mean that. In similar fashion, Ant-man, who doesn't need an introduction, is pulled into the story in a similar ridiculous way. Both characters have no investment in the issues the other Avengers are dealing with. Unlike Batman vs Superman though, you forget all of that. Eventhough their introductions into the film are ridiculous, at least they're funny. And they're put to good use. That airport scene is just incredible. Every single character has some great action. Not a single one is neglected and forgotten, each of them has great scenes. In general: Great story and character development. Nice build-up. Sure there are some shortcuts, but in general everything feels right. Awesome action. Every character gets there moment to shine, everyone has some nice action moments. Apparently, they used the directors of John Wick as 2nd unit directors to help out with the action, and it shows in my opinion. All the characters, including the 2 who were just dropped into the film, Spider-man and Antman, feel so natural in the action scenes. In typical Marvel style, a lot of funny lines and moments. Humour is perfect. My personal favourite: Unlike Spider-man and Ant-man, and, and this is the last time I'll bring it up, unlike Wonder Woman in Batman vs Superman, Black Panther had a great introduction and was perfectly incorporated into the story. He made perfect sense. Casting has never let me down so far in Marvel films, but that doesn't stop me from worrying in advance about certain characters. I wasn't familiar with Black Panther whatsoever, so didn't know what to think of him, but wasn't sure I wanted an actual teenager as Spider-man. My worries are put to rest: both are instantly loveable, and at this point I'm looking as much forward to Black Panther and Spider-man Homecoming, as I'm looking forward to Dr. Strange and the other films. Although I'd have liked him to have more exposition and screentime, Daniel Brühl as Zemo was excellent, and the character is finally a great MCU badguy. More tragic than evil, and just makes sense in the story. Although I understand he's nothing like his comic counterpart, but I don't care about that. Sharon Carter ♥♥♥. For such a minor character, she actually gets a few good scenes. The spoiler above, but she gets some action as well. I could go into individual moments, but there are too many. Giant Ant-man, though no surprise, was a crowd pleaser for example, but there are plenty more. Ok, one other personal favourite, I loved to see Tony Stark get into some action without his suit. Well mostly without his suit. I had a great time in any case, and I'll definitely go see this a 2nd time soon.

Me too . Although I want one with the girl still attached. Preferably.

Yeah, it was alright. I'm trolling, that was fucking awesome. Most of you probably can't remember this film, but it was similar to Batman vs Superman, except you know, done right.
-
Haha, yeah, that's pretty much me and Game of Thrones.. If I were a wise man, I'd leave the internet for a year (until I receive the Blu-rays and watch season 6). Anyway, will do of course.

Don't watch those :p. 4 more hours!

Fuck, didn't want to type that much. <sigh> TLDR My recommendations from the films I've seen roughly last week (mostly festival films): They call me Jeeg robot ♥♥♥♥♥ Southbound ♥♥♥♥♥ Dust in the wind ♥♥♥♥♥ February ♥♥♥♥♥ The boy and the beast ♥♥♥♥♥ Veteran ♥♥♥♥♥ The witch ♥♥♥♥♥ And if that's still too much, at least see They call me Jeeg robot and The witch. Below all individual films. Nina forever ♥♥♥♥♥ Comedy/drama about a girl who falls in love with a guy who has trouble letting go of his dead ex-girlfriend. Which is not hard to imagine if your dead ex-girlfriend keeps physically appearing in your bed, all bloody. Was ok. Had it moments, liked the ending, but feel they could have done more with it. They call me Jeeg robot ♥♥♥♥♥ Italian superhero film. Oridinary smalltime criminal gets superstrength after being exposed to radio-active material. This was pretty great. Superpowers weren't too ridiculous (say similar to Captain America / Jessica Jones), which resulted in some grounded action scenes / battles. Being Italian, it didn't eschew explicit violence. Bag guy was great, and there was even a nice romance subplot. From all the festival films I've seen last week, this one is the one I recommend the most (it was the festival audience favourite as well). The land of the enlightened ♥♥♥♥♥ This was shit. Should have been a documentary. It's about Afghan kids trying to make a living in a war-torn country (by selling old mines). Some nice shots, but it looks incredibly fake and is extremely boring. Harcore Henry ♥♥♥♥♥ Probably doesn't need an introduction. I expected this to be very bad, but fascinating in a way, so I gave it a chance. It was better than expected. I thought it would be a gimmick (the whole film is in first person, for those not familiar) than would last to long, but they managed to keep it entertaining for 80 minutes, with action and jokes (and game references). Choreography was pretty great actually, from the fight scenes to the free running. But one warning, this is 10 times worse than the average shaky cam. If you don't like shaky cam, skip this one. Southbound ♥♥♥♥♥ A collection of interwoven horror shorts, set in the south of the US. I liked most of the shorts, they were all different, ranging from slasher to monster horror. The invitation ♥♥♥♥♥ Boring thriller. A guy is invited to a dinnerparty of his ex-wife, both traumatized by the loss of their child. The guy gets paranoid and thinks something is wrong with her new boyfriend and some unfamiliar guests. The films repeats the process of having the guy throw a fit, then letting you thing he's just paranoid and there's no twist coming. By the time the twist actually comes, it's too little too late. Nowhere girl ♥♥♥♥♥ Same applies to this Japanese thriller, but even worse. Add to that incredibly annoying piano music, remove any character development and actual drama. Fucking boring. The similars ♥♥♥♥♥ Nice concept, bad execution. Some people are stranded in a busstation after heavy rain. One by one they are transformed, to look like one of the guys who's stranded there (think of the video for Window licker by Aphex Twin). Liked the style, but the acting by the boy was terrible, and the story could've been fleshed out. Project-M ♥♥♥♥♥ Nice Canadian sci-fi. In the near feature, some Canadian astronauts are on a mission in a spacestation in orbit around Earth. When they have only a few weeks left before their return (after 1000 days), a nuclear war errupts below them on Earth.. Whoops. Liked the story, the characters were good, liked the set design of the space station.. With more budget, could've been great. The actors for side characters were terrible, and the scale feels to small for what you'd expect. Still, nice effort. The lure ♥♥♥♥♥ Polish horror musical about two mermaids who start working in a nightclub. A point for overall style, but there was no real story here. Side characters were introduced, with neglible impact on the story, it all felt too random. Dust in the wind ♥♥♥♥♥ A re-release of a classic, from the director of The assassin. A young couple from Taiwan tries their luck in the big city. Not much of a story, more a slice of life film, as we follow mainly the guy of the couple. Although visually it doesn;t hold a candle to The assassin, I liked this better. But I'm a suckert for melancholic dramas. February ♥♥♥♥♥ Horror about 3 girls and their connection to each other. I liked the atmosphere and story. The story is divided in chapters, each focussing on one of the girls, and slowly revealing their part in the overall story. I liked the way it was edited. I am a hero ♥♥♥♥♥ Japanese zombie action comedy. Was entertaining, but could've been better. Main problem is the pacing, which I think is a problem with many Japanese films based on mangas. They try to stuff into one film content that was spread out over several mangas. Some great (action) scenes though, and some creepy zombies indeed, and often funny. The survivalist ♥♥♥♥♥ Post-apocalyptic drama about a guy trying to survive in the wilderness, when he suddenly has to deal with a woman and her daughter looking for food and shelter. Nice drama about human nature and the will to survive. The boy and the beast ♥♥♥♥♥ Lovely anime, about a boy who runs away after his mother dies, and accidentally find the way to the beast world. Gets raised by a bear-like creature, who needs a pupil in order to be eligible to become the new lord. Sweet and funny. Veteran ♥♥♥♥♥ South-Korean action comedy. Plenty of laughs to be had. The witch ♥♥♥♥♥ Horror about a father who suspects his daughter is a witch.. Set in 1630 New England. Great atmosphere.

That's pretty shit. Like I said, I'm interested in the game, but I might not buy it out of principle.. I want the option to have a backup of the videofiles. If not on disc, then they should make them available for download. I guess they can patch it later.
-
Why not get regular seats? Local cinemas generally don't have any VIP seats. Personally I only care about having seats in the middle.
-
I'm interested in this, but the internet requirement makes this unplayable for me until I upgrade the internet here.. And even then I'm not sure if I like it. What happens if after several years, they shut down the servers for this? No cutscenes? Unplayable game? I can understand this for multiplayer portions of games, but this is the game. There should be an option to download them, and preferrably, they simply should have a blu-ray version of the game with all cutscenes included on disc.

I don't think the "whimsical" elements suit Capaldi's doctor. I was looking forward to seeing him as the doctor, but 2 seasons have disappointed me so far. As for the new companion, I don't want to judge based on short teaser, but she seems nice. I still want more Clara though. (that said, that new companion seems to be great at pissing him off, maybe that's exactly what I need)

I've asked insertcoin, the site who carries official Life is Strange merchandise, if they'd consider making a guys fit t-shirt available of the iconic pink Jane Doe shirt, but they had no plans apparently. I'm manly enough to wear such a shirt, and wanted to buy one. Oh well.

I've only heard of this practice some time ago, but it hasn't affected me yet. It's incredibly stupid, but it'll only hurt them. Amazon may be the biggest I think, but there are still plenty of other online retailers.. If I want something on Amazon which I can only buy as a prime member, I'll simply order it somewhere else (or perhaps wait) I have no idea why they think this is a good idea.
