Yeah, so this completely took me by surprise.. I had no idea this was such a craze. Since I had little interest in it, I didn't keep up with the news, but I've seen it on the cover of the 2 most popular newspapers, before the game was even officially out here. I even saw a Christian newspaper mentioning this game was getting people back into churches (hahahahaha..). To be honest, I doubt this craze will last more than a year, but I have to admit that I'm intrigued. I would definitely download it now, if I my phone supported it. Anyway, have these been posted?

Yeah my Ash and Gary are shipped as well. I forgot this one by the way: I think I'll skip the re-color. Probably. Wonfest is soon, so more news coming.

If you ever have a screening in The Netherlands, let me know.

Finished this yesterday on normal iron man after various attempts (never finished the first game). Must say I spoiled myself and already knew roughly what to expect in the final mission, otherwise things could've been different (those avatars are tough.. and harder than the single avatar you encounter earlier in the game). I also bought all the dlc during the last steam sale. Not sure if the price was worth it (probably with a better discount), but had fun with it regardless. The weapons are good, the 3 rulers are fun to battle (though I can imagine them being frustrating on timed missions), the armors are great.. Well 2 out of 3 look ridiculous, but functionality-wise they're great. The 2 story missions are also fun. It's only the cosmetic dlc that's disappointing. It's not much content, so that's why I'm not sure if it's worth it, but what you get is generally good. Rulers specific: Yeah they're fun to fight. I guess I was incredibly lucky, and they didn't mess up my timed missions much. The first viper king is actually pretty doable early game, I had an iron man game where I first enabled the dlc, and tried the mission. Got a scare there where it knocked out Bradford (who comes along with you on the mission), but he wasn't killed. Took me 3 missions to kill him I believe (the rulers have a large amount of health, but they flee if you damage them enough, then come back in another mission. But they keep their current healthpoints). Unfortunately even after succesfully dispatching the first ruler I had an unfortunate early avenger defense mission, where things got bad.. Then the game crashed and the save was simply nowhere to be found. So another restart. Then in my last iron man game, I waited until late-game before I started doing the dlc missions. Both the ruler story mission and the shen story mission actually are too easy when doing late-game, they fit better in early-game, were it not for the fact that I wouldn't want the other rulers that early during the game in certain side miisons (anything with a timer). But since I did them late game, and I apparently got lucky, I never had a problem with them. I actually executed the first 2 rulers during the first encounter (same soldier with an advanced repeater). That's simultaneously satisfying and disappointing, but made sure they wouldn't bother me anymore and gave me access to their armors. Only the Archon ruler gave me a little trouble, but I got him in the end. I was doing very well against that Berserker ruler, before I executed him anyway.. It was on a retaliation mission, which are pretty good missions for rulers.. With scanning protocol and 4 battlescanners, I was already aware of its existence and its locaitons, so he never stood a chance anyway. He managed to stun one soldier with a melee attack before he got executed, though I've done some considerable damage already at that point. Apart from their looks, I love the ruler armours. Well, the Archon armour actually looks pretty fucking cool, but that's the only one that actually looks like an armour and not some animal skin. I already had an A-team of soldiers, but decided at that point (again, it was late-game) to train several extra soldiers I didn't have at that point, equipped with the dlc stuff. I suspect they're not the most usual builds, but I had fun with: - A swordmaster ranger using the berserker armour and axes. - A gunslinger sharpshooter using the viper armour and that shadow gun. - A psi operative using the archon armour and boltcaster. - I also trained a Spark. Some people find the Spark disappointing, and although I can see that, I loved it just for the rainmaker ability.. I actually took one on the final mission with me, and I got an achievement for gunning down an avatar with a Spark. I've come to appreciate demolition expert grenadiers.. I never used them much before, but I do now. I generally used the heavy gunners more. I'm also more adamant at using hacker specialists, the scanning protocol became my default opening move, and hacking MECs is always great. Plus the little rewards you can get from towers, is hard to pass up. When I started playing Xcom 2, I used (phantom) rangers more than I did at the end. In my last iron man game, I used a demolition expert grenadier, a sniper, a hacker specialist and a healer specialist, with the 6th being variable, usually whatever I was training, but often a 2nd sniper or demo expert. After training the more exotic builds, my team for the final mission were: the hacker specialist, the healer specialist, the demo expert, the flying (archon armour) psi op, the viper gun slinger, and sparky.

Plenty. To slightly elaborate, I've had a few ideas for 2 Metroidvania-style games, though I probably want to start with a platformer. I'm lazy. Also in the case of my idea for a Zelda sequel, there are license problems. For those who want to know, I had an idea for a more futuristic Zelda. So it's funny to see Zelda to get more futuristic anyway (unthinkable years ago). I love how it started with Skyward sword. Anyway, I just had a few ideas, and not thought out a lot, but I wanted the story to future time travel again, and with Link ending up far into the future of Hyrule. In a setting that would be post-post-apocalyptic.. Civilisation as Link knew it would be gone, but a new one would have been built, and it would be more of a steampunk setting. Ruins would be there but as mysterious and forgotten places in the underground foundation of new Hyrule, with a much larger Hyrule city built on top of it in Victorian style. Although probably not a big as imagined as Breath of the wild, I did think of (Steam) trains being used to get to more distant areas / cities. The structure would be largely traditional, futuring an overworld and several dungeons, though now I'd have to update that idea of course. Weapons would fit the setting, but would overall act as you're used to, with the bow and arrow replaced with old-fashioned rifles for example. New enemy, not a version of Ganon, though he would feature in the story. Ganon would actually more of an ally.. at first glance. Like I said, I haven't thought out anything, I just thought of various specific details, some of which I have forgotten. Link travels to the future because he finds a curious time travel device, and is sent to the future to fulfill a prophecy: to restore magic in the world of hyrule. His new enemy is some kind of general who is trying to eradicate all of the "magic" (which as we now know is simply the old technology of the Hyrulean gods) and all remnants associated with it. Ganon(dorf) actually requires this magic, so his power is greatly diminished in this new age, which is why he wants to help Link to succeed. He does this by duelling with Link to teach new moves (a bit like the skeleton Link from Twilight Princess, but much tougher, acting more like mini-bosses where you have to work for your rewards). In order to restore magic, Link gets the help of another accidental time traveler: a new fairy companion. This new fairy companion would introduce a new mechanic to Zelda, as it would be playable. This would be used for puzzle solving (imagine going through keyholes, or finding weakspots to small for Link to use), and even small mini-dungeons. A final detail (I have a few more, but I'll save those): a story twist is that when Link defeats the general (haven't thought of a name), restores magic, and repairs the time travel device to go home, he is actually sent into an even further future, where Ganon is restored in power. So one last bonus boss awaits you when you think it's all over. Like I said, I'd have to update some of these ideas, with new developments from mostly Breath of the wild. I like the return of the equippable weapons from Wind Waker for example, where I originally had the idea of the 3 staple swords, the master sword and 2 others. One for big and strong enemies and one for fast and small enemies. It would be cool to think of more ideas and update old ones, although I don't know for what purpose. Even if I did get off my ass and managed to make a complete "fan-game", only a few would enjoy it before I'd receive cease and desist, haha. I could repurpose the ideas for an original game, but story-wise a lot of things simply would have less impact, since they were based on Zelda stuff.

Yeah, mine arrived last week as well, together with Marth. I've also not taken her out yet, but she's looking gorgeous even from inside the box.

New trailer. Looking forward to this.

Yeah, me too, for some reason (though for me 3-4 times). Also for no particular reason, though the floaty mouse didn't help. I may be interested in this. I never finished 1, never bothered with 2 (for some reason expected it not to be canon at the time, and definitely not at the same level), and haven't gotten around to Infinity yet. Plus it may fix the few technical problem of Bioschock 1, because I believe it doesn't work on Windows 7 anymore? I'm pretty sure I've already tried to re-install and play it, but it didn't work, though I'd also swear I've gotten it to work on Windows 7 before. Visually I think the game still looks fine, sure it's outdated, but not in a way that detracts from the gameplay experience. That said, I think I'd prefer to try to find a retail copy of Infinity, and get Bioshock 2 digitally.. Though I don't know if I'll be able to get the updates to Bioshock 1 that way, it's a retail copy. Think I'll try to re-install it tonight to check whether it works or not.

Wasn't aware of it. I may be interested, but from what I understand, System Shock 2 was the better game anyway.. Plus I'm totally broke. I'd like to back this one I think though, but I probably won't (because I'm broke). (kicktags seem to be unusable because the url doesn't include an id anymore?) Anyway, I had a separate thread for non-game kickstarters, perhaps it's a good idea to merge the 2, or simply forget it and start posting other kickstarters here as well? I backed this one recently (one of the reasons I'm broke).

I urge you to say that on air next time you win something on the radio! Congrats Esequiel, that's pretty cool! Moving on up? Haha damn.

Yes, we're nexit. Anyway, you're joking, but I was googling for any suitable reaction images or whatever, but this was the first thing that popped up: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jun/24/dutch-britain-quitting-eu-geert-wilders-netherlands I really don't see it happening, then again, I don't actually follow the news.

Yeah this is pretty funny.. People, this is were you're headed: Anyway, Goodbye UK.

No you're still welcome here. After you've shown your visa.

Yeah I don't know what Schuh is :p (though I can take a guess (or Google)). (ehh just Googled it, God that's a shit site). I have no interest in a Phoenix Wright figma, but I would crush the pre-order button for a Phoenix Wright Nendo. .. Then again, the photo opportunities.. Hmmz. Yeah Cordelia, that package was shipped this week, so I'll see it in a few weeks? I'm in no hurry, I'd like to postpone paying import taxes for as long as possible anyway . This month has been expensive. New shoes (ehh just regular Adidas), new passport, a Kickstarter project (film adaptation from the guy who wrote Fightclub), and an exclusive Goodsmile figure from the Under the dog Kickstarter project. On top of my regular figure orders..

I would miss you guys! Also I don't want to pay import taxes from Amazon.co.uk.

I generally don't give a shit about Vans, but these actually look nice. If I were to get a pair, these would be it, though I don't see them available on the website (?). Though I don't have the money at the moment anyway. Got the first package (out of 3) for this month: Customs either must have been sleeping, or they knew it's my birthday and decided to give me a break, as I didn't have to pay any import duties or anything. That makes 28 Nendoroids total (excluding 2 doubles), with 9 out of 13 Nintendoroids.. Marth and Cordelia are on their way in shipment #2. I combined Shiida with something that's coming in July. I also forgot to to check that Samus figma.. I may make another exception as it would pair nicely with the power suit Samus I already have.

Anything worthwile to see in the conference? Or have I seen everything I needed to see with the Zelda trailer?
-
Depends on if they're bothering you.. My personal philosophy is to leave any kind of creatures alone / put them outside if they're not bothering me (pretty much everything), and murder anything that's out to get me (mosquitos). They look disgusting now, but they'll turn into ladybugs eventually. According to the internet, they eat smaller insects.
-
I was about to do a Google search, but I'm already familiar with them, they're ladybug larva if I'm not mistaken (the Chinese variant I believe not the chinese ladybug).

Why not just scan / tale a picture of it?
