  1. While I myself prefer to see all the films, including the bad ones, I suspect this is more of a recommendation in line with what @drahkon wants: Today go see: Captain America: Civil war Tomorrow: Spider-man: homecoming Thursday: Thor: Ragnarok Friday: Black Panther (in Cinema if still playing near you) Saturday: The Avengers: infinity war In other words, a few of the more recent, and most enjoyable ones. It will show you most (new) characters, and a little bit of story exposition. I think that'll be enough. You can read up on the rest on Wikis. You will miss on the introduction of Dr. Strange and Ant-man (though they have some screentime in the films mentioned). It's not clear what Ant-man's involvement will be in Infinity Wars, but Dr. Strange will play a big role alongside the other Avengers, and his film also introduces an Infinity Stone. This also leaves out The Guardians of the galaxy. If you can handle more and decide you want more context: I'd also watch Captain America: the winter soldier (because it's good and introduces Bucky), Guardians of the Galaxy (because it introduces those characters and because it's fun), Avengers: age of Ultron (for the ongoing story and the introduction of Vision and Scarlet Witch, and Hawkeye's fun oneliner), and Dr. Strange (for his introduction and the infinity stone, and one of the more original endings to a Marvel film). Like I said, I don't know what Ant-man's involvement will be (though I fully expect him to be in the film in some capacity), but I suspect you won't miss much if you skip his first film (though it does have a fun tie-in with Iron man). His second film will be out soon enough, you can delay that one until then.
  2. A little over 14 hours! I can easily fill that with sleep! "My eyes are up here Mr. Lee." That wouldn't be my recommendation. I can't tell which ones would be "essential" to view before Infinity War, but the main draw of all the Avenger films and Civil War was to see all the super heroes you've come to love in their own films before it, come together and fight together. All the Marvel films build up to that moment, even if they stand alone and have nothing to do with any Infinity stones. I can't imagine watching Infinity War without having seen any of the other Marvel films. I missed Thor and Captain America in the cinema simply because they didn't interest me much initially, and I'm still not a fan of their first films, but I was glad I did see them eventually before I saw the Avengers. I may not like the films overall, but I loved Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth as Captain America and Thor, so they still funcion as the build-up for Avengers. It will be the same for Infinity War.
  3. I wasn't a fan of Lost in space. There was stuff I enjoyed, but there was also stuff I didn't enjoy. And the way it ended it looks like season 2 will give me more of the stuff I didn't enjoy. I like most of the characters, especially Penny. I mean, the family is a bit typical, but I like them for the most part. I also liked some of the side characters from the other Jupiters, and just the fact they were there at all for some interaction. I absolutely can't stand Dr. Smith however, with her grumpy face and whiny voice. The robot(s) is (/are) stupid. Some of the problems they encounter are inane. Like fuel eating eels (which appear out of nowhere). And then that ending. I mean, I guess it's more in line what actual fans would expect of it, but it's not for me.
  4. A bit of fun trivia, but Black Panther will be the first film to screen in Saudi Arabia after they lifted the ban on cinemas. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/hollywood-studio-chiefs-hail-opening-saudi-arabias-first-cinema-1104036
  5. There seem to be speculations that Marvel is planning to do a Marvel game universe. I hear the Sanctum Sanctorum is actually in the game. The excecutive director wouldn't confirm, but also not deny, the game having links with the Square Enix games.. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/gaming/features/spider-man-ps4-start-marvel-gaming-universe-bill-rosemann-talks/ Could be cool if true. They have a larger pool (pretty sure they can use whatever they want?) of characters, and being games, they have less limitations.
  6. Bought my tickets for a 2D screening on the 25th today! But.. Hawkeye better be in it though. Otherwise I'm going to demand a refund.
  7. Quick comment on two games: The bunker: Ik more or less knew what I was going to get into. I just wanted to see what a 2018 FMV game looked like. I don't mind the QTEs, but there was more point and click stuff than I expected. Still veryu little, but more than expected. The problem is that it's too simplistic and not enjoyable. They should have skipped it altogether. But I'll judge the game on what it's focussed on: the story. The atmosphere is generally nice, though I could do without the campy horror influences. The story itself is pure drama, the horror felt tacked on. The story is ok, but nothing special. Entirely predictable from pretty early on. And too short. I'd like to have seen more background story, flashbacks, whatever. The actress playing the mother is cute though. But not recommended simply because of predictable story. The final station: Had my eyes on this on Steam. Main gameplay is a sidescrolling zombie shooter, though there are bits of resource management in between levels. Atmosphere is INCREDIBLE. artstyle is nice. Not too fancy, but especially the backdrops really add to that atmosphere. Shooting is satisfying, but repetitive. Main game is short though, so it doesn't outstay its welcome. But the story is incredibly vague. It hints at a lot of cool stuff, but in the end, I (and seemingly a lot of other people as well) were unable to get a coherent story out of it. The (included) "dlc" seems to add to the story, but I have not played it yet. This is where the gameplay outstays its welcome in my opinion, I have no real desire to play through it. It changes things a little bit, but I would have liked to see those things (extra items to find, new enemies) in the main game. I also find it not to have any replay value. The story warrants a replay, but the gameplay does not. Unless you're into speedrunning, I can maybe see some people doing that, though you can't speed up the train gameplay, so perhaps not. Barely recommended, though I'd wait for a sale.
  8. May is busy I believe. I believe there are quite a few indie games getting physical releases in May, that plus Donkey Kong. Oh and the Capcom compilations.. That said, in Summer or Autumn (or Winter?) it may get competition from bigger hitters like Fire Emblem, Octopath Traveler, Valkyria Chronicles and Smash Bros. Slightly disappointing though. Was looking forward to getting this day 1. Playing it again, and finishing it for the first time last month hasn't diminished my anticipation whatsoever, it may have even increased it. I am even considering getting a capture card and do a let's play of it. That does mean I can postpone a 180 euro purchase.
  9. I'd like a physical release of the complete edition. I'll forgive them for not releasing a physical release earlier.
  10. I get what you mean, but for me I only got that feeling after finding all those shrines. And I found them all simply because I enjoyed exploring and experimenting on its own, and if you don't know what those dragons are, you simply haven't done enough of that. One of them has a little quest and story to it, but other than that, they're not super important (if you're not going for 100% or something like that). You can get some items from them to upgrade your gear (edit: oh and some items are needed for certain quests).. And they look cool flying through the air.
  11. I'm not a big fan of Conker. It does a lot of things, but none of them well. Except the humour. Plus Xbox version is the inferior version. @Aneres11 Rayman?
  12. The news we've all been waiting for!
  13. Xcom 3 is looking good.
  14. I'll ehh, just put it here as I don't want to create a relaxing and / or sexy stuff thread. I ehh, I'll be busy tonight.
  15. Apparently there's a remake of the first Disgaea coming to Switch. https://nintendoeverything.com/disgaea-remake-confirmed-for-switch-as-disgaea-refine-out-on-july-26/ Which may help me, as while I like what I've played so far of 5, the options are absolutely overwhelming, so I haven't exactly played much of it.
  16. The makers of the Westworld spoil the entire season 2 to Reddit readers (reasoning here). Normally I don't consciously go look for spoilers, but this time I couldn't resist. Dolores!
  17. Couldn't be arsed to find / create a more suitable topic, I'll just drop this here: Though speaking of Tropical freeze, there have been some new videos from PAX going around. They updated the models and animations slightly.
  18. Aww, they canceled Everything sucks. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/everything-sucks-canceled-at-netflix-1100620 It was far from perfect. I wasn't too convinced on most performances apart from the two leads, and the writing could be better. And they could've have been more subtle about their 90s references and use of music. But it had a certain charm, and it was sometimes genuinely funny. I would have watched a season 2. Edit: Oh I hadn't seen this one yet, though there's not much to see yet:
  19. Oh hey, it's Blackbolt. Can't believe I still remember that. A shame they didn't (or couldn't) cast Bruce Greenwood.
  20. Yeah, "plenty". Since buying those points, I've only bought Chrono Trigger. Had a quick look, but I'm not seriously going to play anything on my Wii for the moment. After finishing Dark Souls on PC, it's back to Switch for me. I'll be buying the few games I want sooner or later though.
  21. Motion controls confirmed:
  22. I don't think you can. I had a quick look myself. Maybe updating your payment info will help, changing your billing sddress to something British (is it Dutch at the moment?). But just have a chat with support, and say your British (I assume you are). I suspect they'll change it. But they will change it for everyone who you're sharing it with. I suspect that's not a problem. Dutch Netflix may have some things UK Netflix wont have, but I assume these things are few and far between. You will have to miss out on Bassie & Adriaan, if Dutch people succesfully campaign for it.
  23. Tieing up the loose ends. First up was an optional challenge I set for myself: the twin guardians in Oolacile. I didn't get the tail from the first one, so I had to get them from the twins. I could cheese them with arrows from the relative safety of the cave. Did try it by killing one, but after I died to the last one in melee combat (I had to relearn its pattern), I fought them both outside like a man. Like usual, took plenty of tries, but I got them both, plus one of their tails. Black flamed the first one (while carefully dodging both), then the last one wasn't much trouble, apart from the fact it gives very few opportunities to cut it's tail. Then it was time to finally get rid of one of the first minibosses you encounter. Well, I say miniboss, but it's pretty big. The red drake or whatever it's called. To be honest, I think it may be the hardest boss in the game, as I don't see how you don't have to rely on luck to kill him. Luck as in: can I kill him before he flies up in the air and sets the bridge on fire. I mean, I heard you can cheese him with arrows as well, I tried it, but my arrows weren't strong enough at that point with my stats. He regenerates too fast. But in NG+ (spoiler alert, I had a very quick look in NG+), he's even much worse. He gains a ton of HP. Anyway, I did get lucky, he landed on the bridge, I gave him a wack, he did his forward fire breath attack, so I wacked him some more from underneath him. I got him before he did something I couldn't dodge. Before the fight I also finally got the infamous drake sword. At the start of the game, getting his tail was too tedious, and I didn't have any use for the sword anyway. After farming Anor Londo for a while, to get upgrade materials, it was time to meet Gwyn. I wanted to practice first, so I summoned Solaire for the first practice run. Also because I never summoned him in this playthough, and I wanted to see him in action at least once. That was a big mistake, as he could solo him pretty much. All I did was poke Gwyn once in a while. He was nearly dead. I did get to practice a parry / riposte on him, before I committed suicide so I could fight him "properly". This, combined with the fact that I keep hearing the "dlc" bosses are the hardest, gave me a false sense of security, and I expected him to be a cakewalk. This ehh, wasn't the case. He has some pretty fast attacks, good reach, and he's good at draining stamina. Plus you can't block all the damage, and healing is difficult. That said, he's indeed easier than the dlc bosses, though I'd say he's the hardest of the main bosses. Once you learn to keep a close eye to your stamina, and move away from him more (while trying not to get stuck on the terrain..), he's pretty doable. So after I finally thought I had his pattern down, and could beat him.. My controller broke. I'm not kidding. Fuck you Microsoft. The only piece of Xbox hardware I own, and it breaks due to normal use. The left bumper is now loose, which makes blocking a bit of a liability.. But I persevered, and defeated him even with a loose left bumper. I did abuse the hell out of black flame just to speed things up. Sadly I forgot to use a riposte on him as a final move. But dead he was. Finished the game as a sl48 pyromancer mage. After roughly 730 deaths (counter says 738 now, but several of them are from the NG+ red drake). Also, who wants my spare Titanite catchpoles? Epilogue: Had a very quick look at NG+. Things hit hard, but I survived the Asylum demon and the Taurus demon. Got passed the red drake. Then the first thing to kill me.. A hollow soldier, the one at the gate go Undeadburg.. Then I messed around with the red drake, but his health got quadruppled. I leveled up at Firelink shrine, and had better buffs available to me because of that, but I barely scratched him. I'll try using the red teardrop ring next, if that doesn't work, I'll leave it. I'll do the Gargoyles, hide several of my spare weapons in Undeadburg, and then quit the game, and wait for the remaster on Switch.
