Steep is no longer in development for Switch. https://mobile.twitter.com/Steep_Game/status/1027527193528856576

I'll probably get Mulaka. I think I have enough roguelikes for the time being.l so will not pick up Darkest Dungeon.
-
The Japanese trailer is much longer:
-
I already have both four GC controllers and the adapter so won't be buying this. May buy a new GC controller, though, as they are getting rather old.

Child of Light and Valiant Hearts coming to Switch
MindFreak replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
A sequel til Child of Light may be on its way: The upper Tweet followed by the picture with "f Light II" in the background can only mean that Child of Light II is happening. -
Seems that the leak was right.

28 minutes? That's longer than the time they spent on it at the E3 Direct... Surely it's shorter than that?

IGN review for Dead Cells redacted due to plagiarism
MindFreak replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Wow. That's wrong on so many levels. You quote from them and reference them, acknowledge them. That's not stealing or plagiarism! Also, you just use their results to avoid having to do the same research they did in order to infer something else related to it. -
IGN review for Dead Cells redacted due to plagiarism
MindFreak replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
So the writer has been fired: -
Dead Cells is out today and it has a 92 point rating on Metacritic. 9.7 from IGN but their review has been retracted due to claims of plagiarism.

There are really many cool Pokémon to be added but that could make a game in itself. PokéSmash. I think that would be better as Smash Bros. is more a Nintendo All-Stars. I'd argue that Wario is a villain himself. Definitely an anti-hero, so he wouldn't really need one. There's Mario. Villager also has an evil stare, that's villain enough for me. Adding unknown characters wouldn't be a first, they did that with Fire Emblem. All of the characters. All of them. But yeah, of course, you are right, some series don't really have a bad guy.
-
The problem with the Fire Emblem characters, in my mind, is the amount coupled with the fact that only Marth appears in more than one FE game making the others rather generic and random to me. Also, they all use swords ti some extent. That's boring. Pokémon has enough characters represented as do Mario, except that I could see Waluigi as a roster character rather than an Assist Trophy. Someone once said that every series should have a villain representative in Smash which is a nice idea that I concur with.

Is it realistic that this still comes out in Europe? Will Atlus see a business in doing so?
-
I think they could show off some story mode or something similar. That would seem like a realistic guess given the admittedly weird timing.

Had a really nice session with the Wii U version and a friend yesterday. Now I'm looking really much forward to this.
-
Wii U version had online play. It's completely dead now, though, but the mode is there. Bought Dandara today as it's still on sale. The main criticism is about the controls being hard but apart from that it should be a good game. Also pre-ordered Dead Cells whole it's 20 % off. It looks good.

My parternity leave neded Wednesday so I returned to my job then. The first day was great, it was nice to get out of the house and had a lot to do - read mails, get information that was provided while I was gone and all. But now, two days later, I'm bored as shit. Since I'm only back for a month before I switch jobs, they don't really provide me with interesting and deep tasks that I can delve into and spend all my time on. So it's a bit uphill and I now wish that I just said I would start the new job in August instead of September 1st.
-
Of that list I'll look into getting: So yeah, it'll be a busy year if I decide to get all of them! The italic ones are the ones I'll definitely get.

Towerfall for Switch is done, the developer says on Twitter:
-
Ghosts and other supernatural things, mostly. That could really freak me out at night. On television, there was a show called "Power of the spirits"-ish where some mediums investigated haunted homes and that was really creepy - of course I know now it was fake but at the time I was a bit more gullible about these things so I could stir up some freaky thoughts.
-
That's a much better trailer than the last. It looks a lot more decent now and I may even want to watch it now.
-
That Save Hearts for Later is a bit useless. It doesn't carry the hearts to the next floors and thus, it only eliminates backtracking. That's a bit disappointing. Speed up outside combat is great, though.

I've put about 35 hours into it and I was sceptical at first but after the first 10 hours, it really drew me in. Thing is, once you have saved the NPCs from the dungeon, they start doing stuff in the lobby and that can give you stronger weapons earlier in the dungeon, thus making it easier to progress. That's what really lured me in - and now I'm able to go to the fourth and fifth level almost every time. Never beat the boss of the fifth level, though, but been there a couple of times. It's difficult but keeping it cool and not being reckless (and not dodge rolling!) can get you very far. I am going to go back to it now with the new update, it's truly a wonderful game that gives and gives if you put the effort into it.

HBO has the new series Sharp Objects that my wife and I started watching yesterday. That was a big mistake as only the first three episodes were available (out of 8) and it's super good. Like... really good! Amy Adams is superb in the role (yet again, she is a good actress), and the rest of the cast is great as well. The story is intriguing and told in a fascinating way - like the other Gillian Flynn-movies. Highly recommended.
