Well, it requires you to be good or best friends to send shinies so that pretty much stops those sales. I don't care for trading. I'd rather have PvP battles.
-
Yup, about 14 hours in at this moment. I'll just spoiler-tag my progress. Overall, I understand the praise of the game, the atmosphere is amazing and the game is generally satisfying and well thought out. However, checkpoints are too far between, which may be intentional but it's still irritating - especially if you die in a place where you haven't found the bench and didn't just sit on the nearest bench before said area, then you have to go through a lot to get back again. Fast-travel is nice but again too far between. Also agree with @Grazza about the darkness, it's overall a bit dim - but not as much as Battle Chasers. The lamp also helps on this.
-
I did the exact same thing!! Didn't die though so ent back and died just before the entrance instead.
-
Oh, I menat true fast-travel. Instant. Where you don't have to go to a specific place that can be a bit far from here you are. Hmm. You lost your 1000 Geo? You just have to kill the ghost of you in the room you died to get them back, you know that right? It's even marked on the map with two white dots.
-
Yeah, I agree a little, it's easy to get lost. Getting the map and compass help a lot, though, but I wish there was fast travel. I die a lot, it's actually harder than it looks, especially the combat, meeting a new enemy almost certainly kills me because they act differently all the time. I'm getting the hang of it, though. I'm about three hours in, having defeated two real bosses and been to three places. The vibe of the game is fantastic and it runs smoothly.

But then why not show a trailer or give it a title in the direct?
-
Not sure at all then. I just pressed play... But it happened once that I tried to kill someone who just wouldn't die. I then found out that it probably was a squad match and the other one was on my team. Then I got shot by three others that I met. They were not on my team, I guess. I think the game could benefit from a tutorial... What am I supposed to build? It's apparently a big part of the game.

That seems a bit weird in solo matches.
-
I just tried it. I was terrible. First couple of matches I tried to find out what was going on. I didn't find a weapon until my third match and I couldn't hit my opponent then. I didn't realise I wasn't dead when I was lying on the ground, though. What a weird mechanic - crawling around without the chance to do anything? It seemed to perform well enough for me, though, no lag or anything. Maybe it's the internet? I changed it in the options so that I only play against people in Europe.

I hate the title. It's so childish and simple. I hate it. But I like what I see. A lot.
-
Downloading it now. I never tried it, never seen much of it but I know my smaller brother enjoys it (on PS4 so no playing against him).

Ridley announcement separated from the Direct:
-
I'm a fan. This looks superb and it caters to everything that fans ever wanted. I just hated that they spent so long time on this in the Direct - that's not the place to talk about small changes to the characters. And it's not really worth mentioning that Captain Olimar's helmet cracks!
-
Hollow Knight being out now is the only arms in the air moment of the Direct for me. But oh yeah!

Just caugt up on Ubisoft and Sony. Ubisoft was entertaining, not near as fast-paced as Microsoft (which probably could just as well have been digital like Nintendo this year) but it had a good mix of games and some nice surpises. Assassin's Creed looks great. Sony, on the other hand, was terrible. That studio-talk intro was boring with a very long demo of LoU II. Looks good but when picking out some gameplay for demo like that, please take something that has a bit more going on in it. The samurai game looked alright, Kingdom Hearts looks great - want to try that series! RE2 isn't for me but it's a nice reveal, and Control looks fine. However, Spider-man may force me to get a PS4 and sell it again after that game. It looks insanely good. @Happenstance Who was the guy in white? I thought it would be Sinister Six but the white man was odd. Edit: Nevermind, stumbled upon him - Mister Negative. Makes sense. Now, who's the last guy? Doc Oc?

After 34.5 hours I'm done with Battle Chasers: Nightwar, despite not being that into it. While I liked the combat and the characters, the world was boring, the enemies were a bit meh, and the story was generic and plain. But my biggest issue is simply that of speed. The game was exceptionally slow overall, not just loading and walking, but battles them selves dragged on forever, even against a single enemy. It was not until I got the final wepaons (that more than tripled my latest weapon!) that I could actually speed the battles up and kill enemies with just a few blows. It made me want to avoid battles even though I needed the XP - which is just based on the number of enemies and their level, not their difficulty which would be more relevant. It's not a bad game but it could do with a lot more polish and as it stands, I wouldn't recommend it for the price they are asking on Switch. Perhaps half that price would be better. Now I'll wait until Nintendo's E3 is over to see if there is an interesting shadow drop, otherwise I'll have to consider what to buy next. Thinking about Celeste, Mulaka, Old Man's Journey or The Banner Saga. Has The Sexu Brutale been updated yet?
-
Yeah, meant that it combines different universes. I'll look closer at that game. Was it exclusive?

Anime Smash Bros!! Looks great!

Zelda with a fox?

Okay, this part with Tom Clancy is a bit too long. As was Forza. But that's probably just me being completely uninterested in those two.
