  1. That's way too much exercise, you need to rest. Strength (and thereby muscle) isn't build from training, it's build from resting between training. Muscle burn calories throughout the day. You need to build some muscle, so resting is really advisable. (And how the fuck can you stand 1 hour of rowing? Short and intense; do 5 min full on, take a rest, then 5 min again. I do about 1300 m when rowing for 5 min so go for something around that; if you can take much more rowing after this, there is something wrong!) Seriously, with an intake of only 1100 kcal I'm amazed that you have energy for exercising that much. As Ramar says, your body needs the energy to build muscle. If it doesn't get enough energy, it will do everything it can in order to hold on to fat (which is good energy to the body) and it will spend less energy trying to build muscle mass (which is what burns calories as I said above). So you can eat as healthily as you can and still gain body fat and loose muscle. I'm not saying that you should run amok on food, just eat more of the same, add some nuts (for protein), (ordinary, medium fat) milk, eggs, and fish (if you allow yourself this as a vegetarian - there seem to be some sort of confusing on this part). Your weight loss won't instantly be as great as 4 pounds in two weeks (which is too much to maintain, you'll gain it again fast, about 1 pound a week is the advice for consistent weight loss) but in the long run, it's better. Also, remember that muscle weighs more than fat so even though the weight stays the same, the composition of the body may have changed.
  2. Don't know if you've seen this but I found it funny: I've been on a media black out for this movie. The first trailers looked awesome.
  3. He really likes hanging on walls getting caught on camera.
  4. It doesn't matter when one eats. You could eat your entire daily ration in one sitting and still not gain weight. It only matters what you eat. There are other reasons as to not eating before bedtime, and it's 'better' to eat unhealthily in the morning or early in the day as you can then actively do something against those extra calories. But weight loss wise, it does not matter if you go to bed right after supper as long as your total calorie income is less than your expense. http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/article/0,28804,1896439_1896359_1896345,00.html That said, calorie counting is so 2011... It normally (until you are not hungry anymore and 6 times a day, three of those six are major meals), healthily, exercise varied both with and without weights.
  5. Haven't we had this discussion with Yesteryear before?? Sit-ups suck! Push-ups, planck, squats. Also, Yesteryear, read the article I provided a link to above.
  6. http://www.dangerouslyhardcore.com/5343/why-women-should-not-run/ An interesting read. But I would have liked him to list some things that could be done instead, except just mentioning HIIT somewhere. Also, I would like to see steady-state cardio at 90-95 % MHR (he only says ≥65 % MHR).
  7. It looks entertaining. Not a masterpiece but it doesn't need to be that.
  8. I know it's not comparable as I live in Denmark but I pay just about £23 a month for gym.
  9. Yummy, returned to high weights today for the first time in a couple of cardio-weeks. Did 5x4 100 kg squats and 5x4 120 kg deadliest. It felt great and the weights just flew up! Then some weighted pull-ups (4x4 6 kg between the legs). I should definitely keep it going with these weights, it really felt great. Looking forward to feeling my legs hurt tomorrow...
  10. DLC 'The Knife of Dunwall' is out now. Is anybody getting it? I would have got it soon if I had not just now discovered it's part one of two. I didn't know that, so I'll probably hold off until Part Two arrives. This is also due to me having tons of other games as well as the original DLC for Dishonored to complete. I wanted to go for 100 % achievements on the first DLC but that's just too hard! It's really challenging and getting an achievement actually FEELS like an achievement in it. But it's mostly enjoyable.
  11. Yeah, some FX and he would look awesome, I believe.
  12. I've been told that my N64-collection is rather rare, especially given the condition of the games. I tend to not buy Collector's Editions as they often are too big for having around.
  13. The 3DS game is very interesting but like many of you, I'm worried about the gameplay of the bigger versions as Rocksteady has nothing to do with it. And the news about Poul Dini not working on the story in this is also a bit worrying. I'll probably end up buying it, though. I do like Batman, and Deathstroke is an interesting villain.
  14. I can't believe some of you saying that this game is a bit short! I've currently spent about four hours on the first mansion and haven't even done the boss yet, and there are seven of them! I'm enjoying this game immensely, it's really good. At first I didn't like the mission template but after a while I saw how it fitted the format perfectly and now I enjoy taking on a mission while going to work by train.
  15. I prefer the original Mewtwo I must say. I don't like that the 'tail' is coming from the back of his head. But apart from that, I like it. It could be Mewonepointfive?
  16. Had my final testing yesterday. It was awesome, I saw a 10 % increase in every lift: Squat: 110 kg to 127.5 kg (best progress) Deadlift: 130 kg to 140 kg (I tried 142.5 but it just wouldn't budge even though the 140 went up right away with no real problem. I'm a bit disappointed here, I thought I'd be able to take 145 at least) Clean: 80 kg to 87.5 kg (I tried 90 kg but I couldn't move under the bar fast enough for me to catch it. THe 87.5 was more of a power clean) And I increased my broad jump from 249 cm to 258 cm! That's a nice increase. I've really enjoyed this period with regular heavy lifting. I'm going to struggle to keep up with myself from now on as the bars at the gym are bad and they have no chalk.
  17. My girlfriend borrowed some money the other day and would have bought this game to pay me back. I really couldn't decide as I like what I see and hear from it but when the shop didn't have it, the decision was made for me. Will wait till its price reductions (and till I have actually played BS1).
  18. Reminds me of Outland and the new Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams. But love the title! Would buy it if it were on Xbox, I think.
  19. So, spring sale time. The list of games is Bought Skyrim: Dragonborn and Hearthfire (just because I didn't have many points left after Dragonborn). Other than that, though, it's a bit of a boring sale this time around.
  20. It's definitely water; you were weighed Saturday morning and when else? Your weight and height varies throughout the day depending on many things. You might have had food in the stomach, crap in you intestines, pee, water in the body etc. Morning weighins are usually most accurate. I've reached the last week of strength training now. 24 reps total per exercise. Squats aren't so bad even at 100 kg, depending on how I feel on Wednesday I might go for 105. Cleans are tough at 72.5 kg but not too tough. Perhaps 75 kg on Wednesday. Deadlift at 120 kg are killing me though. I wouldn't be able to do it if I had mere 2.5 kg extra on that bar. I feel it mostly in my back, I'm not sure it can hold much more. Oh, and 80 walking lunges with 16 kg in each hand are the Devil's work, I tell ya'!
  21. Very wrong. The first x in Xbox seems thinner and too far from the other letters. Also, the current logo looks cooler.
  22. 10/10 from Gamereactor.eu It's shaping up to be a great game. I'll get around to playing the first one soon I think.
  23. You think one could skip BS2 to this from 1?
  24. Psyched! What if... what if they also brought us the ... the Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers game!?
  25. Played the demo. It's a great game. It's just too bad that I SUCK at it. Big time. My sense of rythm is just non-existent. I would really like to play it but I just can't. So it's not a download for me. Especially not at that price tag (even though it's a full game for a minimum price I still think that eShop-titles should be below £10).
