Turns out they've written a few more books both while I was at uni and since so my knowledge is outdated. It was Media and cultural studies with a minor in film.

I've been thinking recently I need to do more physical creative stuff (coding and photography not counting) and not sure what yet so I've been looking at local courses to try and find something. Oh it's not an exact classification, but it pretty much is along those lines when it comes to awards. It's why something like Desperate Housewives was classed as a drama and sure it had (melo)drama but it was a comedy.

Comedies = 30 minutes Dramas = 60 minutes That really is pretty much the extent of their classification.
