You say that but I went to Berlin in August and ended up trying to buy a hat because it was so sunny but it was a Sunday and apparently Germans don't open shops on a Sunday? Although speaking of make sure you don't fall foul of the 10 year passport rule. Mine actually expires in July, but if you renew a passport and there's months left on it they get carried over so you end up with 10 years + remainder. However, now we've left the EU if your passport is over 10 years it won't be accepted and that's the case with mine - it was issued in February 2015 and expires July 2025, but can't now travel to the EU on it because its been 10 years since it was issued.

I am kicking myself for how simple it ended up being though. Noticed there was a "reset toolbar" button so I tried that and it worked. Thankfully I had an existing toolbar open in another tab so I could put things back. Also added the spoiler button to the mobile view too.

I have this exact same story about the orange GameCube I saw at their Osaka branch. Was just before I was leaving and my next stops were Hiroshima for a few days (a weekend) then flying to Okinawa so I knew I wouldn't have a chance to send it back home either.

I'm presuming (based purely on what Julius said) that it only works if your characters are near each other rather than broadcasting to all. Obviously some games that would be useful for, others like Smash it's moot. Or I'm wrong. I'm often wrong.
