My My Nintendo Store controller is "ready for shipment!"
-
Wouldn't we all have a good laugh?
-
Hmm maybe I didn't do it correctly. I don't know. Let's see if Thursday fixes it 😅
-
Well I've changed it to see if that was the problem.

They're obviously secretly a member here
-
Seems they're doing a few for the 30th anniversary (assume the Disney+ version doesn't have the intro):
-
And I can post regularly saying I don't have kids but I'm sure that wouldn't be well received.
-
Pretty sure it's real.

As discussed, created a new thread that will open at midnight on Thursday (unless they start arriving earlier in which case I'll open it). Not sure if everyone can see it as I've set it to publish and unlock on Thursday so the former may make it not visible for y'all yet. Will close this thread sometime after launch but appreciate there may be some lingering conversations which is why I'm not setting an auto-timed closure. And maybe will also unpin the Switch Discussion thread 🤯

Can't resist alliteration. A topic that keeps coming up with my friends, perhaps because they come from all over, is the struggle as you get older of wanting independence from your family but also feeling like you should be nearby to help. Can also be exasperated if you're an only child or have useless siblings (👋). I know I struggle with wanting to be further away from family, but then feeling bad about my mom having to suffer with relying on my brothers. Plus it is nice to see my nieces, but that is at the whim of my brother so it's not like I'm seeing them weekly or anything. Others I know that moved abroad face this struggle much more, for obvious reasons. So I thought I'd make this thread. And it provides further proof that you could do some kind of sociological study on how people experience life as they age by looking at the history of this place. Certainly wouldn't have gotten this kind of question 20 years ago!

Although it has got me thinking; have they ever tried a Zelda-esque single player puzzle kind of thing? That franchise has a lot of small puzzles using bombs, I imagine you can make something out of that.

The Mario one kind of makes sense in that they're using a long a (I think, my linguistic days are long past) which is more common in accents than it is here. Although it does amuse me that a lot of them class themselves as Italian as their great grandparents emigrated from there but mispronounce a common Italian name. If it helps I go with an Italian pronunciation as it looks like a romance language word 😋 "Ar-tchey-us"

If they do go that'll be the second company I've worked at that closed (after Woolworths). So I guess after them it would have to be Sports Direct.
-
Welp. I hope things get sorted for you.

Just in time!

Interesting. I've had the 7 Pro for coming up to 3 years. Normally I would have upgraded sooner but the last few ones have been all AI and not much else so I've passed. Maybe the 10 later this year. Unless my phone blows up.

In another few years we'll have to start calling it Splateen.

He's German. Do you expect him to have fun?

I'm sure there's some jokes in there that work better if you're Chinese or a Chinese immigrant but it's set in the 90s so there's more humour that millennials will enjoy as the kids are about the age we would have been at the time. Plus there's even a meta joke about Corrie in there if you look hard enough. The first season is kind of different from the rest as it focuses on the eldest son as it's based on the memoirs of a real person and he narrates it, kind of like Everybody Hates Chris. But then he fell out with the show so disappears and they make it a bit more about the parents. The last season is a bit meh as they clearly ran out of gas and famously Constance Wu didn't want to do it, but overall it's a good 7/10 kind of sitcom.

I've only ordered the controller and paid by card but only been charged once. Have they both been taken or are they pending? Should be able to dispute it if taken and ultimately it will all come out in the wash but obviously not great from a financial perspective.
-
Well I guess it's still accurate in the sequel.

Tried to look at a reason for this. The series (and anime in general) is big in Italy, but at the expense of Japan is weird. Can't find the developer as I thought maybe it was an Italian one that pitched it but it doesn't help the name is Open Sesame. I can find a game developer, but it's French and don't mention it so seems unlikely (more the French than not mentioning a 14 year old game). But I did find a site that announced it and it was amusing reading though the comments. A lot of excited Italians.

Don't kink shame.
