Just looked at the price of the N64 controller at CEX and it's £50. Blimey. Trying to figure out if the motion sickness I felt last week was just getting used to the controller. Not having a dual analogue setup really confuses my brain now so I spent the first 5 minutes basically playing dizzy dinosaurs.

Maybe they'll release GameCube games on cartridges that are proportionally smaller to the Switch ones as GameCube discs were to DVDs.

I thought you meant the shop B&M for a moment. I went into Game recently to see how many points I had and they told me they couldn't check because the tills had been upgraded and that is why they're getting rid of the points system. I know he was just saying what he was told but what a daft justification. Pretty sure a POS system could account for loyalty accounts. Other shops manage.

I caved and ended up getting it from the eShop. Saw some warnings that Shopto sometimes sell codes from elsewhere and Nintendo have banned accounts. But I think Perfect Dark has given me motion sickness 😭

Honestly at the moment aside from a browser I'm primarily using VS Code. I might use Affinity if I got a new machine as I'm currently just using photopea instead but that was because I was running out of space but managed to clear out 40GB last week so maybe I should give that a go. So not much, really.

Toying with finally getting this as Perfect Dark is one of those games that I've been wanting to replay for ages. I can't recall, is CD Keys legit or iffy? It's £10 cheaper than anywhere else but vaguely recall some news story about it a while back.

My old surface could do with being replaced but torn with what. From what I've seen recent Surface devices have had poor battery life.

It'll have a more fitting name on the Switch in that regards though.

Hi all, You may have noticed (*ahem*) that the forum has been a bit creaky lately. Speaking to Shorty we have figured it is high time we a) move to a new server and b) update the forum which we've let slide. There's no guarantee that it will fix everything (or even anything), but it is certainly worth a short. He's playing around with a different instance at the moment and sent me a link and it is certainly snappier. However as the forum software has updated the design is a little different. Nothing huge, just a modified/updated design. We've agreed that we think its best if we just do the upgrade and release it and then tweak things afterwards due to the speed issues we're currently facing. We don't currently know exactly when it will take place but we will try and do it soon, just dealing with some admin stuff beforehand and obviously it needs to fit around other demands on Shorty's time. It will also involve some downtime but we'll try and keep that to a minimum. I will keep everyone updated and do appreciate people's patience during this slowpoke period.

I did catch up elsewhere as I was having to check on a train so signal was terrible. I did see your post after I posted this though

They did show a mix of seemingly instant and menu-based retrievals so maybe there is some way to hot key ones, or easily repeat the last. Intriguing anyway. Although I agree with a comment I saw somewhere on the internet yesterday; they should have called it The Legend of Link

Just a small update that I've spoken to Shorty and we've decided to purchase more server space and upgrade the forums as we're behind on that. Unsure of timelines yet as it needs to work around his job but seems like the best course of action.

Favourites may be pushing it. But of the ones likely to form a government, sure. I also like how you make Michael Portillo a little more Italian, which is fitting given I was just watching children songs in Italian (a clear sign I should go to bed).

It stings for me too because now I feel old. I always vote but I can't remember it actually making a difference because I've always lived in safe seats so I tend to throw a vote to a smaller party just because. My current seat (although boundary changes etc) Labour is predicted to get 80% of the vote so it does feel pointless. Was thinking recently that I have no idea what my local MP does. I think given their safety and the fact they're in the shadow cabinet means they don't really bother. The only time I've had some "interaction" is being sent some letter about bins which seemed to be more about some beef/power play with the local council. The only time I see her name is when it comes to party stuff. Compare that to my previous MP who was at least more active, although I do appreciate that was when I was using Twitter so was seeing more of what they were posting.

Oh yeah I'm not watching any of it. The thought of watching any of those "debates" feels like torture.
