    • Thanks for the games. Here's a link to this week's stream. - - - - - N-Europe Get Together! (09/01/2025)
    • Gotta be honest: Tekken 8 sounds like a far more impressive get than RDR2. A fighting game like that HAS to run well, always. Would be a guarantee that there's no stuttering issues with the new console. Right, the reason I posted here, despite not liking to discuss rumours or alleged leaks, is that this translation from Portuguese is quite incorrect. He's responding to a tweet that asked whether Nintendo was meant to announce it this week, but delayed the event for some reason. Felipe responded: "No, Nintendo is still following a timetable they set a long time ago. No changes. No delays." Also, we are mostly taking Felipe's word for it when it comes to this FNAC leak. The photo is using a codename of sorts, and classifying it internally as a "Nintendo Switch videogame". The photo itself does not confirm Switch 2, only that Take Two has some unknown videogame coming out for a Switch.
    • If you've not played them, I feel like: • Star Wars Battlefront II - Celebration Edition @ £3.49 (can personally vouch for) • Mafia II Definitive Edition @ £6.24 (can personally vouch for) • Kena: Bridge of Spirits @ £11.54 • Control: Ultimate Edition @ £6.59 • Psychonauts 2 @ £9.99 • Destroy All Humans! @ £6.99 • Lost Judgment: Digital Deluxe Edition @ £10.99 (if you've played the first one; can personally vouch for) ...are probably the deals which stand out most to me after a quick flick through!
    • The game itself kind of sweeps the historical setting under the rug. Which is weird, because the main villain's tragic backstory is a direct consequence of WWI, iirc. I'm guessing, whoever wrote the game did not want to imply that a vampire was somehow a bigger threat to the world than the war, so they were discreet about it. This does mean that, according to Castlevania lore, two frustrated painters were trying to take over the world at the exact same time. That's worth two nickels.
    • It's all starting to be let loose now.  First up is FNAC France reportedly updating their catalog with Switch 2 products, and namely, a game listed as being from Take-Two.  Felipe is also claiming that there will be no more changes or [internal] delays: So then, you're thinking, well, it could be a lot of things from Take-Two, right? But Rockstar and GTA V or Red Dead Redemption II seem obvious big choices that jump to mind... Some people then took a closer look at the FNAC stuff and, apparently, Tekken 8 (seems reasonable I guess), FIFA (seems very safe), and Red Dead Redemption II (seems like it would need quite a bit done and is probably the hardest to believe of the three) were found to be games listed for the Switch 2.  Also found were the potential dimensions for the Switch 2's game cases, which seem to be considerably larger than the Switch's?  Weirdly this is the one I take issue with, I thought the Switch game cases were a nice enough size while reducing plastic use vs standard case sizes (especially considering the cartridge size), but this seems to go against that, if it's accurate.  Grain of salt and all that, goes without saying...but a hypothetical launch of a 3D Mario + Red Dead Redemption II would be kind of insane, I know that's not what the "leak" is explicitly stating, but man, assuming it runs well enough, I'd be well jealous of the amount of people who haven't played Red Dead II getting the chance to play it on a hybrid console and as part of a console launch/launch window. I feel like between this and other big third party offerings of yesteryear coming over in force, the idea of just being able to return to talking about some of the best games of the last decade because they've found a new audience - and on a Nintendo console of all places - would be super exciting!
