    • Tepig looking like a zombie come back to life there.  Besides, nothing can beat the Tepig plush I have (had? No idea if it's somewhere). You could transform it into a pokeball but in order to do so you had to turn him inside out from the butt.
    • You could argue that the Virtual Boy was an attempt at replacing the Game Boy though so really it was only on the market for 6 years before a successor came along But yeah, 8 years of the Switch is crazy especially considering that there hasn't really been a downturn in success in all that time. The Game Boy ebbed and flowed through its life before getting a huge late boost when Pokemon came out but the Switch has really only started losing pace in these last few months - they have certainly done a much better job at its end of life than they did with the Wii U, Wii, Gamecube and N64. Also we're now less than a calendar month out from the Switch 2 Direct but I'm sure the original Switch will still have a presence in the market for the next 18 months or so
    • Pre-orders for the game via the Pokémon Centre website will come with a plush of either of the starters:  (note: you currently can't put a pre-order in with them at this time)  Anyone else find it interesting that we still haven't seen this game's box art? I was kind of expecting it to come out following the Presents
    • Crazy that the Aleck 64 lasted that long, also a really strange choice of hardware for such an arcade game; especially when you had so many PS1-based boards floating around that were cheaper and easier to develop for, not to mention Dreamcast-based hardware like the Naomi and Atomiswave that were both cheap and plentiful. Somehow Aruze making a puzzle game based on a slot machine mechanic is perfectly on-brand for that company; given that they largely traded in pachinko/pachislot games (not to mention buying up and killing off the original SNK for seemingly no reason).
