Caris Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 What you all doing. I rekcon im gonna make a trip to a local one at a rugby club near mine, have a few pints, watch some colours and a fire. Banging. What yous doing?
Mr_Odwin Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 There was a shed in my back garden that we've DESTROYED so I think we'll burn it. Maybe toss on the young 'un if the feeling takes me.
AshMat Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 All the pub organised ones near me are shite. The fireowrks have been going non-stop since 6 o clock all night around my house, it's getting annoying tbh. Also, i don't think i'm doing anything this year.
Colin Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Sitting in my room at halls, and fireworks have been going off around the blocks since 4pm or so non-stop. I expect firealarms and stuff at around the middle of the nite. So I've seen enough of fireworks, so just going to go out and have a dance up with some drink.
Platty Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 I have just got in from work and saw a couple of nice displays on my way home when driving through London. Not going out to any displays myself, don't really know if any are on and not sure if any of my mates are about. But on Actual Guy Fawkes bon fire night tomorrow im going to see the Fratellis at the Astoria which is better than going to any fireworks display (well for me anyway )
AshMat Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Oh right, i forgot, i saw a fireworks display at Alton Towers last week anyway
dabookerman Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Sit in my room, Door closed, on the pc, probably on 4chan looking at Hentai, and looking at my katana with the urge to kill these idiots who keep shooting fireworks every god damn fucking place. Or play Halo 2 if the guys want.
Monopolyman Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Fuck. You reminded me that it's Guy Fawkes tomorrow. As if fucking coursework won't be hard enough without fucking fireworks.
Twozzok Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Thorpe Park straight to a slap dash display my friend's dad puts on... basically they see how many fireworks will fill a van, take 'em to their airfield, and set some alight at a time... It's quite fun.
Letty Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 The weather is too bad to do anything Not that I would go anyway..
ipaul Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Went to see some fireworks tonight at my local rugby club, was very enjoyable, even if the fireworks wern't amazing. Then again, couldn't have asked for alot more for a £. Was annoyed when the battery in my camera decided it didn't have anything left though
Ashley Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Probably going to a nearby first school's display with a married couple and their 2 year old, my roomate and her baby daddy, and a couple known as the stupidfaces tomorrow after work.
Nintendork Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Trying to play some more Killer7, I did the first level then gave up.

weeyellowbloke Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Just come back from a fun night, we messed about with a few fireworks letting them off and such like (then went a little too far, all I'm saying is it involved an exploding TV). Then went to the pub for a bit and played some pool, came back and built a bonfire and then sat around it for a few hours talking and playing guitar under a clear full moon filled sky. It was beautiful.
kyletherobot Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 going to find a fire and get drunk. if i cant find a fire, ill most likely start one. a student has to do what a student has to do.
KKOB Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 its bonfire night TONIGHT and im going to blackpool for some reason :S
CoolFunkMan Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 I 'aint up to much this year, though I haven't really done anything for a dew years. I am seeing my girlfriend again though...
Shorty Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Bonfire night for me means hiding the dog under my chair and playing loud music so he doesn't have a nervous breakdown.
ViPeR Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Bugger all. If you've seen one fireworks display you've seen em all.
Nintendork Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Bugger all. If you've seen one fireworks display you've seen em all. They had a £5000 one in my village at new year.. it costs £25 to get in and all the food and drink was free. Several hundred people came.. apparently it was one of the biggest ever made. Could be heard 10+ miles away I hear.
Blackfox Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 We went to the forework diaplay last night at Hull Uni - 25 mins of explosions.. Was good.. Tonight I'm having a party at my uni house. We spent £75 quid on fireworks so we'll be setting them off and then having a few beers. Should be awesome!

Every year the same crap. I might actually consider going to one if I didn't hear them every night since the beginning of October. I know people sometimes have to work that night (doubtful this year) but surely arrange it so it's within the same week for god sake.
Ginger_Chris Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Yesterday I went to a small Devon village called Ottery, where the local tradition was to run round with huge flaming tar barrels on their backs. It was was so awesome, about 7,000 people in the vilaage square, with these huge flaming barrels being carried through the crowds randomly, with people having to run out the way or get hit and burned. There were signs everywhere telling us that we were there at our own risk, and plenty of people got injured (inc self). But it was amazing, I'm so glad that some parts of the country ignore health and safety that much. Tonight, i'll be sat indoors nursing a sprained ankle.
