ShadowV7 Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 I really want PoR but I don't want to pay £30 for it.I will definently pick this up when it's out over here though because I just want an RPG
Stocka Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 I really want PoR but I don't want to pay £30 for it. Me too. I want it more than any other GC game, but am trying to avoid splashing out £30 on it, as I reckon the moment I do it'll be in a sale a couple of days later or something.
thomaschung Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Fire Emblem are one of those games that hold there value because they are highly rated but they don't sell massively in the West. If you really want it so bad buy it for £30 before you can't find it anymore. I think even second hand you can expect to pay over £20, so why wait? it's not going to be put on sale.
Calibur Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 can't wait to get my hands on this game, i loved PoR but i found it was a tad short
blender Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I hear the gameboy versions are better than the gc though? or are they just different a la batallion wars?
thomaschung Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 never played the GBA versions. don't matter, loved the Cube game. Great story and characteres. It's not too short if u play all the difficulties. I played through the game twice as the first time you will miss a lot of the characters.
Emasher Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 i have por and sacred stones i liked por better i got stuck in sacred stones the new swordmaster looks cool
flameboy Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Love the look of this have never played fire emblem before, but I will get this for sure, the Wii needs games like this along with all its wiimote themed games, to get everyone interested it needs to have more standard controlled games.
Pit-Jr Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I hear the gameboy versions are better than the gc though? or are they just different a la batallion wars? Id say the game is slightly more enjoyable on the GBA. Fire Emblem has very repetetive battle sequences. The GBA will get you through them quicker and with no load times
Hero-of-Time Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Id say the game is slightly more enjoyable on the GBA. Fire Emblem has very repetetive battle sequences. The GBA will get you through them quicker and with no load times Eventually I knocked the battle sequences off on the Cube version which speeded up the fights dramatically.
Pit-Jr Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Ahh! I didnt even realize that option existed. Do the battles play out on the map then? This compels me to give the game another go
darksnowman Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Ahh! I didnt even realize that option existed. Do the battles play out on the map then? This compels me to give the game another go Thats precisely how it happens. I turned them off after a few chapters and only re-activated them from time to time if there was a new character I wanted to see in action or a boss on the go... ie Black Knight the scum. Give the game another go Pit, you cant turn away from it
Stocka Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Some info: February in Japan. 3 new weapon and magic types Height difference and geography now matter during gameplay February! So with any luck we'll get it around autumn time. Awesome.
Zechs Merquise Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Screenshots! is it just me or do the graphics look to be a little more detailed? I hope so. I also hope we get more of those beautiful cutscenes. PoR was on of the best Cube games. I can't wait for this.
Eddage Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Looks good, can't wait for this. What little I played of Path Of Radiance I really enjoyed so this should be great!
Goron_3 Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Ooo looks like Autumn/Late 07 for us. Can't wait.
darksnowman Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 At last, news and screenies of this are showing up. Ill be getting it on launch unless theres some cataclysmic imbalance in the Force come release. As much as I'd like it to be Game o' The Year '07, Twilight Princess will overlap into the 2007 timeframe for me and well, Mario Galaxy. I sure hope that this game sells like it should over here. I cannae wait!
mcj metroid Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 never played the console versions. But it really looked like something i coulnt imagine on a console.Like i cant imagine advanced wars with turn based on the wii.But i guess if ye say it's good i trust that
Domstercool Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Consoles are full of Strategy RPGs and they do work really well on a console. Look forward to this alot. Bloody love the past 3 english titled games.

Stocka Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 It seems Gallia and Begnion are at war didn't see that coming. I'm pleased it's all in the same world and same cast (Ike is in it right?)
Hero-of-Time Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 didn't see that coming. I'm pleased it's all in the same world and same cast (Ike is in it right?) Really?!! Awesome, I hope that mage guy is back in it as he rocked. What was he called again, Soren was it?
