My Buttons are Magic! Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 actually irish first so "for the crack" is actually a funny spelling of it

DomJcg Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 question: why does the 'shakehead' button not have a : at the end of it? i think all of the others do, just not that one any reason?
Jamba Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Yeah I just spotted that. The command input is actually, : shakehead, which itself is wrong but if you press the button in advanced mode it makes it :: shakehead.
Ashley Posted June 20, 2007 Author Posted June 20, 2007 I think its because :S used to be a smilie, so thus you couldn't do :sh.akehead (sans full stop obviously) as you would have gotten the :S smilie, followed by 'hakehead'. Guess the smilie was removed and never changed. Oh and addressed an earlier issue which asked about whether Tech forum should be changed, just changed the description a bit.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 What is the strategy for this years E3? Will new threads be made by admins only in the console boards? Will there be a thread for suggesting new threads or a general E3 discussion thread?
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 What is the strategy for this years E3? Will new threads be made by admins only in the console boards? Will there be a thread for suggesting new threads or a general E3 discussion thread? Our system last year was pretty damn excellent. What we did is, we turned off the user's ability to post new threads. We then hid ALL of the years, bar one or two (gen chit chat), and we created new boards. The E3 boards, which had boards for Wii E3 discussion, PC and Mac Discussion, PS3 and 360 Discussion, etc. Actually, I'd like to go with that, again. It worked so well. Oh yeah, of course, only the admins and mods could make threads. It was to save there being inevitably 30 or so of the same thread, as people would rush create new threads as info was released.
Jamba Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Yeah that worked well Flink. Just need to make sure that enough mods are around.
Ashley Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 Is this E3 going to be such a rape on the server/forum though? Being as its more like an E1? (lame but I'm tired)

It was indeed pretty damn excellent. May I suggest a thread for us plebs to post news when it is released, and also to suggest a thread within a board for a certain game. It'll stop the MPOTD thread being filled with such requests.
Calza Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Why does the forum look shit? The E3 stuff totally messed the look.
Ashley Posted July 9, 2007 Author Posted July 9, 2007 Yeah it was being a bitch and sticking itself to other boards. Sorted it now.
Patch Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Hi there, I have a question. How can I embed more than one uploaded image into one post? If I use the 'Manage Attachments' popup window to add a single image, I get an embedded image just fine. Like this:
Patch Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 But if I use the same popup window to attach two images, I get this:
