As part of my preparation to see Quantum of Solice at the end of the month, i have decided to watch 1 movie from each actor who portrayed 007. So i started last night with Sean Connery starring in..........

Thunderball

Pretty decent Bond flick. Loved the water themed story to it, and it has all the classic Bond one-liners and all the action. Even though i have seen this numerous times, it still gets a healthy 9/10

Continuing the Bond theme... I watched Casino Royale (the recent one) the other night, bought it on DVD months ago but y'know... anyway it t'was good, one of those films where you just enjoy the ride, it's predictable in places but nonetheless good, a decent debut for Daniel Craig as Bond.

7/10

Maybe I put some crispy sugar coating on for you as the dvd lender. :)

Can't argue with that. I do like a crispy sugar coating. Fair games though.

Just means you don't get to borrow anymore. You have to love every thing I lend you. And I want my SD card back. I'll be over in a second to get it back.

That seems fair. But you're not getting Invincible back. Oh and Marvel is shit.*

*may not actually be true :heh:

It's not true.

It just does more annoying stuff than DC.

DC is amazing. Oh woops, sorry did I say DC is amazing?

I meant to say GL is utterly fucking amazing, and the rest of DC is so far wrapped and been fucked in its own arse by Final Crisis/Crisis'/Stupid my-head-hurts-because-this-makes-no-fucking-sense-whatsoever-athon Batman RIP, that its completely crap post 2000.

....And Marvel is good, but has massive flaws.

Invincible et universe on the other hand is perfect.

Anyway....sorry. You all know what I get like.

Also beatings for you for saying that. And give them back! :(

I guess I'm less informed, since I don't read any current comics, except the UK editions of Spidey, which are only just about to reach Civil War (which I already read, when it came out 2 years ago).

Never been drawn to GL though, just personal preference...in DC, I prefer Batman ( ), JLA and JSA. (In general)

Head to comic discussion, I'm about to reply.

Meh, Id say 21 Grams and Babel were on about the same level (But yeah, the Japan story was fantastic, and probably the best part of Babel)

Though Amores Perros is in an entirely different league. One of my favourite films of all time

12 Monkeys

Was pretty good, though not amaazing. Pretty interesting plot, and Brad Pitt secures a place in my 'surprisingly good actors' list. Can't say I'm a Bruce Willis fan though...

7.5 / 10

Do you hear that? That is the sound of a thousand terrible things headed this way.

It's a shame Qui-Gon died so early on, in the movies. He was a cool cat!! :P

Anyway... quote wars? Alrighty:

Power is when we have every justification to kill, and we don't.

(Seriously now, all of Neeson's roles fall short of even reaching the same level as his Oskar Schindler did.)

Back To The Future

Quite possibly, one of the greatest films ever made. Pure Genius.

The only disappointing thing I can think about the series is that they replaced Jennifer with an uglier actress.

And, naturally, the Charlie Sheen Award for Cinematic Excellence.

I never notiched this before :blank:

Woah, neither had I. Ahwell, not a big fan of the films anyway.

Also, I'm loving the fact they were able to find identical scenes in the two films. It looks like the same film, only with a slightly different looking actress in it.

Cheers for that. :blank:

I'm just saying, they scenes look exactly the same. As in, why bother making another film, if you're going to be watching the exact same thing some of the time.

If you're saying what I think you may be saying, the audience may notice the change more if the actress changed five minutes into the movie.
