well, as a customer of the cinema, i feel its my right to pick at a film, i mean, i paid what equates to roughtly 1/4 of my weekly budget to see a film, i feel should atleast have somthing that keeps you entertained, not begging for the end. had my firneds not been there, i'd have walked out.

call me old fashioned, but i belive films should not feel like a slog to a forgone conclusion. most films are obvious, take lord of the rings for example, you know how it's going to end, but every battle really feels like the whole thing could go tits up. with eagle eye, you knew it would all go to plan, no matter what rediculous dangers were thrown in (fighter jet in tunnel manages to be more stupid then both die hard 4's car kill helicopter and the jet attacks truck scenes, and fails to be any where near as fun.

I've never walked out of a movie (but I did come pretty close with 21grams-A total borefest) I guess if you spend 1/4 of your weekely budget you want a movie that will blow you mind. :)

I finally got a cineworld card a few weeks ago (I thought it was time after counting 25 movies I've seen since May)

Yeah I wouldn't say the predictable ness of it is a bad thing. Its not exactly un-obvious.

i dont mind that somthing is obvious in a film, but the way eagle eye did it, it was like they expected your mind to be blown, which, frankly it was far from.

also, could shia have any less of a lower half of his head, seriously, a shot of him in profile was like an upside down cone, where the fuck is his chin?

I didn't really get that vibe from it to be honest. Don't get me wrong...it does have its flaws...but it was pretty good and satisfying in the end, I feel.

I do like a good artsy type film, but I when I saw 21 grams I thought it was a bit bollocks too. To take things to the other extreme, I watched Rambo 4 yesterday (bought it on DVD a few weeks ago, and just got around to watching it) and it was pretty damn good. Maybe even better on the second viewing than the first.

Christ lay off him, I watched it the other day and didn't enjoy it at all. Not everyone likes the same sort of stuff you know...

He can like whatever he want, but the film's still good.

21 grams is amazing, much better than Babel which was shit, Amores Perros still the best film Inarritu has directed

Amores Perros is the best, we agree there... but calling Babel shit??? Fuck no. Way better than 21 grams!

I haven't seen 21 Grams but I found Babel dragging in places with a rather unnecessary story in Japan.

I'll watch it eventually at least then I can say I've seen Alejandro González Iñárritu's 'trilogy'.

Babel > 21 grams. You = suck.

Twins

I woke up at 6:30 and couldn't get back to sleep, and couldn't be bothered to do anything, as I know I'm going to sleep in a few hours and I always wake at 12:30. I've had this DVD for about a couple of months but never got round to watching it, mainly because when I bought it, it had just been shown recently on TV and I caught the last 1/3.

Another classic Arnie film. Doesn't have the classic Arnie lines, but has awesome moments when Arnie starts singing. Plus a pr0 sexy lass who Arnie ends up plowing. With Heather Graham as a short role at the beginning, it's unmissable. Everyone needs to watch it.
