Banjo-Tooie's so good, it's worth the risk of tearing apart the fabric of time!

EDIT: In case you were serious, it did release yesterday, but at around 2 am. Insomnia has some silver linings.

Nah I was just lamenting how little free time I have.

Started playing for a bit but the constant cut scenes were killing my vibe. Assume it'll ease off but needed a break.

Can't recall if I played it originally but definitely played the first.

I can see the criticisms of the worlds being too big coming out of world 3. It feels weird after all the fapping around I've done and how long it's taken (just opened up world 4) I've only got about 16 jiggies. I feel I should have more for the investment. I'll take it to the end because I am enjoying it, but it isn't going to be 100% completion.

I've skipped a couple at the moment because messing with flying and shooting just wasn't working out for me.

It's weird Yooka Laylee ended up being what it was when this kind of opinion was given to them years prior.

I'm gonna hazard a guess here. Was it Mr. Patch?

If it is, my advice would be to go to Spiral Mountain, and have a fly around there, you might be able to find a couple of things that will help you out. And while you're there, there's a rock outside Banjo's house, that you should definitely look into. It's worth it.

Si. And the balloon game in the bouncy castle.

I'll check out da rock though, I think I've flown around Spiral Mountain already, but might as well since I'm there

Ah, but now you have new abilities. Might be able to go places you couldn't before.

I said this in the Gaming Diary. But it's better to think of Tooie as a Metroidvania, rather then a platformer.

Also, when you're flying/swimming, holding R while turning will make you turn sharper.

Wow, I don't know why there's been a sudden increase in the pace of NSO releases, but I'm not complaining!

Hey, now there's enough in the naughty N64 app to fill up the whole screen!

Turok 2 isn't totally surprising, what with the first game already being there, but Shadow Man is a nice surprise. Might give that one a go.

At this point, Turok Rage Wars has to happen eventually. It's too much of a good fit for NSO.

This got so much play time back when I was younger. Me and my friends played it way more than Perfect Dark or Goldeneye. I would be reluctant to revisit it if it did make the service in case it doesn't hold up. I have a lot of great memories that will probably be ruined. :D

Conker's Bad Fur Day when?

I demand Donkey Kong 64 and Diddy Kong Racing first. At least one of them dropping in December would be great. I associate both of them with December/Christmas time.

True, I'm much more eager to play both of those than I am BFD, but I'm pleased the Nintendo Switch Online: Nintendo 64 - Mature™ app makes it appearing a real possibility.

DRK still holds up well, I haven't played DK64 since release. Rented it, never owned it, and really didn't like it to be honest, but I'm keen to give it another shot. Tooie has been fun over the past few days, never played that one back in the day.

I've still not fired up Tooie. Played and completed it multiple times over the years but still can't get away with how much worse it is than the original game. Banjo-Kazooie I can play at any point but with Tooie I really have to be in the mood for it due to how bloated it is.

Tooie is not bloated, but it is a demanding and complicated game compared to its predecessor.

I'd say it's inherently less replayable, because it's a much bigger and more complex game than Banjo Kazooie that demands much more intense exploration and mental mapping of each environment (with worlds that even interconnect!).  But that complexity is also inherently rewarding.  You have to put more into Tooie, but you get that much more out of it.
