If you like watching the same cutscene after each death, that is not only unskippable, but also "interactive", as in you need to hold a button to play it, like if you need to hold the play button to watch a video. It's that fucking retarded. If you like that, go play Furi.

Tough choice. Both games are on my wishlist...

I vote for The Gardens Between. On the basis that it's shorter, and therefore a more leisurely pick for the monthly club. I'll be fine if Furi wins, though, it'll be a good month either way.

Blaster Master zero 2.

Or if you don't want me to suggest something i've al'ready finished (and can wait a few days, but you already need a few days for voting anyway): Hellblade. Coming the 11th I believe.,

Won't Hellblade be like £30?

Oh you had a budget? Could be, but it's a game I'm interested in. Still though, Blaster Master was only 10 euros I believe.

As an alternative, you could also include a tried-and-true classic game like Metal Slug, since it's within the price range. If you want to stick with Indies, then Blaster Master Zero is another strong suggestion, since it also exists for the 3DS.

However, I think your two choices are already perfect: they're both within the price range because they're on sale for the duration of the vote. Any 3rd option would pale in comparison.

Yeah, sorry, but I'm allergic to like-begging, like some marketing intern for some lame company on facebook would do. @LazyBoy will have to count votes like a man.

On Blaster Master, it looks fantastic, but since it costs a pre sales £10 I'm going to keep it in my back pocket for when the eshop is having lean month.

Alright people the votes are in, and the inaugural game club will be:

FURI!!

Go spend your ill gotten gains gamers; play, enjoy, report.

Throughout the next couple weeks it would be great to see some discussion and debate. I may throw out a couple discussion points later on, but for now I'm going to get stuck in myself.

Have fun!

I think the Summer Break lasted long enough, and it's time to get the Club back into action! Who is up for this?

With a little bit of luck we can choose a nice SNES game next month, if we indeed get them in the Online Service. Until then, we can maybe find a nice short game to play this month.

I'd be up for it, so long as it's a game I have decent access to. As per usual :heh: SNES should be good, regardless of the chosen game.

I do propose finding a better method of choosing hosts, though. The transition between months has always felt a tad haphazard (especially obvious when that month's host doesn't have time to play the game they chose). Maybe the host for the following month should be announced at the beginning of the month? For example, the host for October should be announced at the beginning of September, instead of at the end?

I'd be up for it, if I didn't already have enough to play.

Unless you're up for doing Astral Chain when it comes out. But I'm not playing anything substantial between Fire Emblem and Astral Chain.
