I've recently become re-united with my SEEEEEEGA DREEEEEAMCAST.

I have also become aware that I've got fuck all for the system.

Aware me on Dreamcast games, brahs.

Notable games that I've got are:

Crazy Taxi - hnggggggg.

Soul Caliber - Hnnnggggggg

Resident Evil: Code Veronica - Hnggggggg

The rest are dross.

Crazy Taxi and Code Veronica are SO good! Those games!! :D

Dude you, have, have to get Power Stone in your collection! Possibly my favorite fighter outside of Melee and fantastially unique :)

Headhunter was brilliant!

Then of course there's your Sonic Adventure's and Shenmue's! ;)

Power Stone looks really interesting. That's the sorta thing I mean. Sonic Adventure and Shenmue are games everyone knows about, but I want the hidden gems.

I hear Silver is good?

I think Powerstone and Headhunter are hidden gems, yep! :)

I actually hadn't heard of Silver, but it does look like it could be good.

How about rhythm game Space Channel 5! (never did get around to the full game, but it's a Dreamcast classic)

EDIT: Redshell beat me too it.

There are also some great 2D fighting games in its library if you're into that (Capcom vs SNK 2, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, Garou: Mark of the Wolves... and plenty more I'm sure I'm forgetting)

Also, Shenmue 1&2 are landmarks of gaming, I hear.

Still waiting for part 3...

As for hidden gems...

Cosmic Smash is a firm favourite of mine :)

also check out Bangai-O (It's a port of an N64 original, but that was Japanese only and also quite different to the Dreamcast version, with some substantial gameplay changes made when it was ported to the DC - it later got two sequels, one on the DS and one on the Xbox 360)

Dynamite Cop is also an excellent 3D beat em' up. If you like ridiculous nonsense, a ham fisted story, great old school bro fisted gameplay and a good laugh, you'll love this game!

And who could forget the insanity of Samba de Amigo!?

A controller extension cable - meaning that I can use my Dreamcast in bed. Hnnnngggggg.

Space Channel 5.

JET SET RADIO.

Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggg.

I tried looking for Samba De Amigo. The game is cheap but the maracas are fucking expensive. I cri, evrytiem.

Damn, your post @Hero\-of\-Time is making me angry that my parents threw out my Dreamcast and many of those games when I moved out last year (as well as my Megadrive and games and original Gameboy and games, all of which went into a skip without even asking if I still wanted to keep them) Really wanted to hook it up and play through some of those gems again.

So many memories of so many great games! Do wish I'd managed to get hold of a copy of Rez with the trance pad though.

Does anyone remember this quirky rpg called Evolution?

Yeah, I quite liked it. Including the name puns as well. :p

The second game was impossible to find, my preorder I had with a mail order(!) company got cancelled. Found a single copy years later in the smallest GAME store. I wonder if it's rare, I've only ever seen 1 copy in person and that's the one I bought.

There are apparently roms of Propeller Arena floating about.

It's a game I've always wanted to play, but my Dreamcast died before I got the opportunity to get hold of it :(

This may not be the problem that your Dreamcast had, but I feel every Dreamcast owner needs to be aware of this.

Super easy fix for a very common problem. Mine had it and I fixed it within about 15 minutes.

This is the problem that mine has got right now, I think. It'll load up a game and then take me back to the boot menu.

I read that a potential fix is placing the Dreamcast upside down. So...that's what I've been doing. It's been working ok so far. But, I'll give this a try.

Is it an actual reset (as if you'd pressed the reset button or the power had cut out) or is the console remaining powered, but it acts as if the disc drive had been opened?

If it's the latter, it could be a faulty disc drive/laser. There are repairs for that too on YouTube.

It's the latter, it acts as if the disc has become faulty or if there's no disk in there. I think it probably is to do with the drive/laser. Needs a good looking at by the sounds of it.

It's a shame, it didn't have this problem before, but it's been years since I've turned it on, so I imagine that there's quite a build up of dust and what not.

I haven't had the time to look at the link, but the problem I have is that the console keeps claiming that I haven't inserted a disc. It's odd, because one time in a hundred or so, it runs the disc no problem at all.

That's the issue mine has. Trying turning the machine upside down, as that does work sometimes a quick fix. It seems like it's a very common problem, though.

Legit? o__O is that like a compilation of 1 and 2? is it PAL? Must be rare!

It's a bit of a mix. You play the first few areas of the first game and then it leads into all of the second game.

This is the US version but their is a PAL version as well.
