Cube Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 Demo is out tomorrow on 360 and Wednesday on PS3. Oddly, it's only available until the 9th of November.
gaggle64 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Demo's out. It's pretty good, arcadey but you feel like you're driving something with weight behind it - reminds me of the original Burnout, when crashing super-saloons into each other actually had more kick then a pair of colliding kites.
Cookyman Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Just tried the demo on PS3- it's gorgeous and welll worth a download. I've got the game preordered and am really looking forward to it.
flameboy Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Glad to hear the demo is good...Didn't expect any less...reminds me though need to finish off Burnout Paradise again for trophies!
Solo Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 All I can say from the demo is: how is it not 60fps?!

MadDog Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Is it even possible to notice a difference between 30 and 60 using human eyes. My guess is no, so stop moaning.

It depends on how fast the gameplay is. In any case you notice if a framerate is unsteady. If a game manages to keep a low framerate very constant it appears more fluid than a game at a higher framerate that fluctuates.
Goafer Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Quite like the demo for this. May have to get it. Luckily a friend has the demo too so I can play the racers bit. I think I prefer the racers to the cops, although both are fun.
Murr Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 That demo was awesome! Really really looking forward to this game. Love the fact that Criterion are behind it, as mentioned above by other poster's it really does feel like a Burnout game, which is by no means a bad thing. Love the arcadey style to it over the past iterations of the game, especially shift.
ReZourceman Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Yeah seems cool. Raped by Goafers lap time though.

Daft Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I wasn't that impressed tbh. Then again, I had Burnout Paradise for three months before I actually started playing it like a maniac so I'm not judging.

heroicjanitor Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I'll have to try the demo soon, I liked the first few hot pursuits

Cookyman Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Have you checked out the reviews for this? Sound like Criterion have nailed it again! IGN Gametrailers
Dan_Dare Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 ah that's not too bad. Should be able to pick it up for the weekend after work then I'm definitely getting up on this- I loved Paradise pretty hard so Criterion just get a free pass from me. Really looking forward to the multiplayer too.

drahkon Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Why do they think that split-screen multiplayer isn't needed? It still annoys me that Burnout Paradise didn't have it... I think I'll pass...
