But, here is my revised prediction... Nintendo Direct Tuesday, 18th June, 2024 at 17:00 UK time. For real this time... probably. 4
Hero-of-Time Posted June 14 Posted June 14 House of the Dead 2 Remake has been rated in Europe. Possible Direct announcement?
Glen-i Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Violence!? My word! What has become of videogames these days!? Yeah, it's probably gonna be in the Direct. The past few weeks for the Switch has been a bit calm. But you know, always a calm before the... well, it's end of the console's life, so not a storm. More of a slightly windy day.

Julius Posted June 18 Posted June 18 As announced during today's Nintendo Direct, a new golden Hyrule variant of the Switch Lite is due for release on the same day as Echoes of Wisdom -- 26th September. Being bundled in with NSO+Expansion Pack makes complete sense and is very smart -- I wonder if that gives us an idea of how Nintendo plan to avoid a price cut this holiday season?

Oh that's interesting! Don't think they've ever done an NSO Expansion Pack bundle before? Means that you get a LOT of Zelda bundled in for "free" with the console... at least your first hit anyway
Josh64 Posted June 18 Posted June 18 I've never been interested in the Lite but that is gorgeous and tempting
darksnowman Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Reynatis is shaping up pretty well, imo. The website describes how it works (swapping between Liberation and Suppression modes). What I can add is that the music and atmosphere are pretty great and most importantly, it actually feels good to play. Very pleasantly surprised. It's not all in Tokyo as there is a portal to a forest area. So I'm sure more can be expected. Also, if the TWEWY crossover wasn't happening, you can just tell the game is tailor-made for it. It should be a perfect coming together.
Hero-of-Time Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Pyoro has been caught by Nintendo's ninjas. Quote During the company's annual shareholder meeting on Thursday – transcribed by X user NStyles – Nintendo directors were asked specifically about a recent report that several recently leaked Nintendo announcements allegedly originated from a Google employee who accessed private videos in the Switch maker's YouTube account. Responding, the directors said they were aware of the media reports and claimed that Nintendo has been working with external companies to diagnose security leaks. The company has introduced new measures to its security systems, it said, and it's also working to educate employees about IT security. You could tell something was up when they didn't tease everything in the Direct. Gotta say, I'm pretty happy that the leakers are being pursued and silenced. Makes watching a Direct much more exciting when you don't know what's on the cards. Nintendo still has work to do though. A long-time member of Era mentioned the Zelda and Mario & Luigi game well before the Direct hit. Even got the Brothership name right. 1

I want Mario & Luigi, but I'm still on the fence about Zelda until I'm certain it's not an open world! Might be time to browse the eShop... EDIT: Nope, nothing I want that I don't already have. Great, now I run the risk of buying a voucher and having nothing to use it on... Edited June 27 by Glen-i
Dcubed Posted July 4 Posted July 4 The latest Nintendo Investors Q&A is now out in English: https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2024/qa2406e.pdf 1
Hero-of-Time Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Nintendo of Japan tends to release an online magazine/brochure every year the one for Summer 2024 has arrived. You can check out the English version here. https://www.nintendo.com/jp/software/feature/magazine_2024summer/index_en.html?device=pc&page=1 I love it. Yeah, it's just advertising their games but it does it in such a way that makes me nostalgic for old gaming magazines. It's put together really well and I would so snap up a physical version of it if it was made available over here. 5

S.C.G Posted July 12 Posted July 12 It looks like they also had the same bundle but with Skyward Sword HD as well for £52.99?!? https://www.currys.co.uk/products/nintendo-switch-super-mario-rpg-metroid-dread-and-the-legend-of-zelda-skyward-sword-hd-bundle-10266515.html Unsurprisingly, sold out. 1

Yeah, ordered, zero hesitation on my part thanks for sharing Ashley! I actually started making a list of Switch games I hadn't picked up a couple of months ago and wanted to at some point, but as soon as the list started to get a little long gave up because of the massive investment it would clearly be. Think I'll try to make looking out for deals like these my main way of picking up those Switch games I haven't got to unless I urgently want to get to them! 14 hours ago, S.C.G said: It looks like they also had the same bundle but with Skyward Sword HD as well for £52.99?!? https://www.currys.co.uk/products/nintendo-switch-super-mario-rpg-metroid-dread-and-the-legend-of-zelda-skyward-sword-hd-bundle-10266515.html Unsurprisingly, sold out. Absolutely insane deal! Thankfully (for my sanity) I already have Skyward Sword HD on my shelf, so don't feel bad about missing out EDIT: the MK8D Booster Course Pass is only £8.97 from Currys. Which is a pretty great deal too! Edited July 13 by Julius 1

Also the Spooky Wall or similar will have a figure moving about when you turn around. I think you need to turn the lights off. I think I heard of the TV one... Yup, looked it up 3:33am every Saturday on your in game TV. 2

And the pages for Nintendo World Championship reminds me a lot of Club Nintendo magazine from the late 80s 2

Yup, looked it up 3:33am every Saturday on your in game TV. It's good it isn't a random occurrence, but still, pretty much no chance of seeing it without this knowledge! Sounds like the Spooky Wall thing is the only one of those you'd have a reasonable chance of spotting. AC is full of little flourishes.
Ike Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Late to the party... Unless it's for future use with the Switch 2... 🤔 5
