Daft Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 lol you still had a grudge. :awesome: How could I begrudge someone who made me laugh so much? Don't think yourself worthy of that much of my attention.
jayseven Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Man, if I were allowed to give infractions for ignorance, then choze'd get at least four in this thread alone.
Sheikah Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Too much text. Fail Fail FAIL. I move to have Choze banned purely for the worst comeback to being shafted on the forums to date.
Sheikah Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 You fail. Daft shafted himself. Nope, scroll up; everyone acknowledged that the shaftee was you. Stop kidding yourself, sunshine.
Dante Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 The only person in this topic that has been shafted is you Choze.
Daft Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I'm with MAT. This thread needs to be made a sticky.
Dante Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I'm with MAT. This thread needs to be made a sticky. It needs a new topic title as well.
dwarf Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I think what needs to happen is for everyone to read Charlie Brooker's articles on the Guardian website. His stuff is just untold genius, remarkable being an understatement. Read his article about the ITV programme The Cube and try not to laugh, I dare thee. Concerning ourselves with what could be a 10/30 year old petty poster is fun but more of a waste!
Molly Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 It needs a new topic title as well. Daft OWNS Choze. Round 1?
dwarf Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Choze can you just clarify your opinion of the whole thing? Do you still think you're correct?
Jimjebus Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Im bit off on this 3d thing , will it invole buying a brand new tele ? just got one in febuary and id rather not gett another but still looks ok
Dante Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 You fail with him then. Same principal as cameras or TV's. Just because its 12 megapixels, HD or anything, does not mean thats what you get. Nothing is created equal. Unless you live the dream of the Empire being your average cinema. I do like the people making a fool of themselves here in their rush to prove something against me. Certainly afew fellows here have been carried away alongside Daft and got lost in their own mire. Its not like didnt realise the very first moment Daft began arguing You said that blu-ray,HDTVs,DVDs have better quality than cinemas. Have you even been to the cinemas?
Jimjebus Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 You said that blu-ray,HDTVs,DVDs have better quality than cinemas.Have you even been to the cinemas? Im with you kind of there , Cinema i like going too due to atmosphere and enjoying a film with alot of people

Daft Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 “Nothing sways the stupid more than arguments they can't understand” You're right. There was nothing to argue about because you were simply completely wrong. Re-read the thread.
Daft Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 You seem to be doing well. I am doing well. Thanks.
Will Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Most cinema i have been to in London are quite blurry, definately not high quality at all. I go very regularly though and enjoy it anyway. From a picture quality point of view, my home experience outdoes them easily. But i cant go all the way to Empire or the Imax, too far to travel and quite expensive unless its something special like Avatar. Where exactly are these cinemas in London? I've been to a fair few and never ever to one that was low quality and blurry. You should try some others as the ones you are going to must be crap. Or maybe you just have a much better TV setup than most? I'm looking at getting a new one soon so would love to know what you have.
ReZourceman Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Too much text. Here's the comprehendable remix for you; GTFO.
sumo73 Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 The question is does anyone need it right now? Sure it would be nice to have it but do we really need it or is some company telling us that we really need it. Sony just got out of the whole Blu-ray vs HD DVD mess and now I hear there's a few rival 3D set ups as well. I'm happy to wait until which ever format wins and the prices comes down a lot before buying thank you very much. I remember hearing about the PC version of RE5 that is able to output in 3D with the right tech. I don't care, I don't have money to burn for special glasses and a special graphics card, RE5 is fine where it is on my PS3.
S.C.G Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Precisely sumo73 - welcome to the forums btw - 3D should be considered as nothing more than a nice bonus atm, once they start implementing the technology into TV sets in a year or two (or whatever) as standard, maybe then it will be an extra appreciated element to entertainment but it's certainly not essential by any stretch of the imagination.
Nolan Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I remember hearing about the PC version of RE5 that is able to output in 3D with the right tech. I don't care, I don't have money to burn for special glasses and a special graphics card, RE5 is fine where it is on my PS3. You don't need a special GPU, just the monitor and glasses. Possibly it may have to be an Nvidia GPU, but I don't think so, still not a special one.
McPhee Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I'm interested in 3D PC gaming and 3D cinema. It just seems 'right' in those situations and for some reason a pair of glasses seems like less of an obstacle. For the rest i'm thinking it's a no. I don't want to be sprawled out on my bed with a pair of glasses uncomfortably sticking in to my face, it's one of the reasons i now ware contacts. Then there's the little issue of the 42" Plasma TV and Blu-Ray player i bought last year. I can't see me replacing either for a LONG time, they set me back well in excess of a grand!
