Falcon_BlizZACK Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Shes not fussed, I don't care. But she has already seen I am legend and The Golden Compass so i'm a bit stumped as to what else is hot right now. Could you recommend me something please? I'm not too sure about that Johnny Depp barber flick...Unless someone recommends otherwise.
Slaggis Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 No Country For Old Men. Best film out at the moment by a mile (see reviews in the film thread).
nightwolf Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Sweeny todd is gory apprently and a sing-song one. There's bee movie and alvin and the chimpmunks for funny films. enchanted - romance. ps.i love you just go to the cinema and quickly decide =]
Ginger_Chris Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I am legend It'd s happy-go-lucky chick flick full of laughs and embarrassing situations. She'll love it.
The Bard Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 No Country For Old Men. Best film out at the moment. I'll also vouch for this... Damnit. What's...happening to me??
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 just go to the cinema and quickly decide =] Ya...But I'll be $hitting myself if it was packed plus I also want to be in and around the Leicester square area for a quick detour to a resturant. No Country For Old Men. Best film out at the moment by a mile (see reviews in the film thread). Ah ah...Oh yeah...Is that the one with Morgan freeman?
conzer16 Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Walk Hard - great comedy and just what you want for a date! A nice few funnies!

There's bee movie and alvin and the chimpmunks for funny films. enchanted - romance. ps.i love you just go to the cinema and quickly decide =] Bee Movie isnt consistantly funny, not seen The Chipmunks thought. I suggest reading a few online revies. Good Luck on your date.
Slaggis Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Ah ah...Oh yeah...Is that the one with Morgan freeman? Nooo! Tommy Lee Jones. (Though he's in it less than you think). Violence/ Amazing acting, a few funny bits. It's up for best film too, so watch it! Noo, walk hard is nowhere near as good as Country/Old Men!
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 Walk Hard - great comedy and just what you want for a date! A nice few funnies! O really? I'll go and check that out. THANKS for the input all. : peace:
Fierce_LiNk Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Dude, you're on a date. Neither of you care what you're going to see. My advice: Choose the longest film. More time together + sexual tension = more kissing time for j00.

Sheikah Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 See Sweeny Todd, really really good and I don't even watch musicals. Golden Compass and Bee Movie are boring as fook, don't bother wasting time seeing them.

triforcemario Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Aliens VS Predator 2: Fun for all the family.
Slaggis Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 when's juno out? 8th - But there's a few previews this weekend. (There's one at my local, so I'll be seeing it this weekend. Woo.)
Nintendinosaur Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I pulled at Sweeney Todd. It was with a chick who loves blood though so maybe you should factor in what type of girl it is.
Slaggis Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Isn't Cloverfield out soon? This weekend, yeah. I'm so glad Juno is opening the week after, meaning it won't get overlooked (Hopefully).
Daniel Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 AVP! saw this on sunday with my mates, awesome film lol but wouldn't go on a date to see it :P
Sheikah Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Are there any romantic-like parts in it? And whats the comedy like? Is it a constant stream of LOLs? There are definitely some laugh-worthy moments, you can tell a lot of time was put into the film and it's really watchable. Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat, Ali G etc) is in it too, he definitely has some funny scenes.

AshMat Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Sweeney Todd, Cloverfield or The Jumper I have no idea what No Country for old men is..
Guest bluey Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 i vote for going to the cinema and quickly deciding when you get there - that way... if it's rubbish, you can just blame those pesky chance-ninjas... if it's awesome - you can accredit it either to your own fantastic taste, or serendipity.... whichever will get you laid! hurrah. i have a date with my friend izzy on saturday - we're off to see sweeny todd ^__^ hopefully that will ...NOT get me laid
