dwarf Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 £52? It'll probably ship for 50 to 60 quid basically including an Eye, controller and game. The game will probably be the compilation game or 'Move Party' or something similarly shit.
Daft Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Dunno, but a DS3 in America is $55. So I suspect that'll translate as £60.
Dante Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Sub controller... Name fail. Sounds like they tried so hard to not call it nunchuck.
Daft Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Sounds like they tried so hard to not call it nunchuck. How would it be a nunchuck? It doesn't have a wire connecting the two parts.
dwarf Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 To be fair there are 3rd party Wii periphals that offer wireless for that. They're still called nunchuks. They're wrong.
Daft Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Anyway, I don't really care about how a game is controlled. I'm not a rampant spastic so I can get used to different control schemes. I want more advance games, not another generation where everyone tries to re-invents the bloody wheel. The one good thing is that they have the Wii to rip-off and improve on. Good luck, though, they'll need it.
LegoMan1031 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I will give Sony credit on the design of 'Move'. It actually looks like i can press every button without having to slide my hand down the controller to press the other 2 buttons that the wii-mote has!

killer kirby Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Umm...is this a good time to revive this pic?
Ashley Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Is anyone else reminded of that anime snot bubble trope? Its just...just so weird looking. As long as it plays I suppose but yeah, the visuals struck me.
Serebii Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Wow...just...wow. Not a stroke of individuality here How on earth can Sony do this without getting sued, they've even totally ripped off Wii Sports Resort with a Sports Compilation with Archery, Table Tennis, Swordplay
or else you will DIE Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 (edited) Wow...just...wow. Daft Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 (edited) I can't see how anyone but fanboys could be upset with Sony ripping-off the Wii controller. We need a unified input device for motion. Ultimately it will benefit the games more. Edited March 11, 2010 by Daft Typo-po-po
Serebii Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I'm no fanboy, I have all three, but there's still the whole blatant rip thing. If Nintendo did it to another company, I'd state my outrage just as I am now
Choze Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 (edited) Looks good. The name, 'Move' is very good and I dont see Wii doing stuff like Socom or that light gun game. I especially like the second controller. Also no more crappy AA batteries and wires! I'm no fanboy, I have all three, but there's still the whole blatant rip thing. If Nintendo did it to another company, I'd state my outrage just as I am now Afew Wii fans have a hissy fit over anything. Technically Sony started the whole motion thing with Eyetoy anyway. The big issue in my opinion is cost and the fact it also requires a camera. Wii and Natal are cheap and simple. However, Move is very precise and strong for control(even if you supposedly cover the camera). Its bringing alot of good things to the table. Superior motion control with ability for small precise movements and Technology behind the PS3. Which means superior physics etc. and yes the balls can change to any colour Edited March 11, 2010 by Choze
flameboy Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 damn it! my post got deleted..it was duplicated but now both of them have gone! Was way to long to bother typing again.
Strange Cookie Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Even though PS Move is a blatant rip-off, I don't really mind actually. I'm really interested in this. It's a mix of my two favourite things: the Wii-controls with the PS3's muscle. Thank the Gaming Gods for that 'nunchuk'! Playing RE5 with a Sixaxis in your left hand really seemed uncomfortable. Nice.

Nice. Yep. RE5 and Socom have support. As others have pointed out. Its taking the Wii idea and adding much more accuracy, proper online functions, A camera(more gameplay options), more ease of use, better game development and tons of other stuff the Wii cant do or could not do right. I am still a normal gamer though. I dont think any motion tech will change me.
Pit-Jr Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Ive always liked the IR functionality of the Wii, while simultaneously hating the accelerometer so if this thing somehow eliminates the need for violently jerking and shaking the controller, then im all over it. It looks to be a very refined rip-off and im happy about the button placement and the inclusion of a d-pad on the nunchuck. Also, Heavy Rain better get patched to work with this. Its pretty much screaming for it
Shino Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Aside from the design, it seems cool. I don't think it will help PS3 sales as they think it will but I'm curious to see Sony's perspective on motion controlling (well, eventually...). We'll see how will Nintendo responds to this in its next console.
Shorty Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 What is 100$ in pounds? http://www.xe.com/ucc/ £66 with the current state of the £. But that's nothing to go by. Typically if it's $100 in the US, it's close to £100 in the UK.
