Lemmings? They only published Lemmings. That was made by Rockstar North.

Just like how they published the amazing Wiz 'n' Liz: The Frantic Wabbit Wescue, from Bizarre Creations. So now the developer and publisher is dead.

They might only be the publishers but they apparently do own the rights to it. But yeah DMA/Rockstar are the developers of Lemmings.

Shame to hear about Studio Liverpool. What was their portfolio the last couple of years?

Cambridges projects looked awful. I think they are under Guerilla games now. The killzone game looks neat.

Some people may know, I had a small hatred of Uncharted. I liked everything but the combat.

I realize now, I was wrong. For my skill level I was approaching combat all wrong, I was shooting people to death, which is good for the crackshots, but I'm not (and I do still think the aiming mechanics aren't up to par). However running around like an ass switching weapons and punching guys in the dick to kill them makes it all soooo much better.

I do still kinda hate the supernatural bits like the fight at the end of Uncharted 2, but boss battles in 3 were bloody superb!

Oh, I didn't feel like bumping a random Uncharted thread and figured General was a good place to admit I was wrong.

I uuuhh didn't look very hard. I honestly just clicked other consoles and looked at the stickies for Playstation General. Hell I'll copy paste.

Tomba! arrives in Europe on the 5th September.

MonkeyPaw Games' PSN re-release of Tomba! is coming to Europe on September 5, the publisher told Joystiq today. The PSOne Classics version of Whoopee Camp's caveman platformer, about a pink-haired caveman battling pigs to reclaim an heirloom bracelet, was released in North America in June.

MonkeyPaw has suggested to us in the past that it is interested in releasing Tomba 2 as well, provided sales of the original game are sufficient.

It was surpringly easy to create an US account and buy a US PSN card. I got Tombi that way.

I was never able to finish Mickey's Wild Adventure as a child. Hopefully I fare better this time.

The Vita version of Remote play as is used with GOW Collection and Ico/SOTC Collection is very impressive! The video is still capped at 30FPS, the video is noticably compressed (though much better looking than the old PSP video), there's a little bit of audio skipping, but the latency is very good with very little lag at around 6 feet of distance! (It's a bit noticable, but I've felt HDTVs with worse input lag than this - GOW Collection is very playable! :D)

I've yet to try longer distances (where I'm sure it wont keep up - and I'm not gonna bother with it over the internet), but I reckon it's good enough to try for another play through of Ico in this manner. Should give me a nice taste of what's to come with the Wii U :D

Edit: Just tried it from the other end of my house, no problems... except for button mashing QTEs in GOW - for some reason they seem to kill the video stream :( (at close range, they work though)

Not bad all in all, just avoid playing anything too button mashy at long distances and it's mostly perfectly playable :) (If not perfectly perfect)

Now, how's about getting more games working with it Sony?

Homebrew Vita coming soon!?

http://wololo.net/2012/09/05/usermode-vita-loader-devs-needed/

Sure, running PSP homebrews on Vita is fun, and VHBL is a very nice piece of work, but it’s about time we move on, isn’t it? Developer yifanlu started a new project called Usermode Vita Loader (UVLoader), it will be a homebrew loader for the PSV, basically.

Not PSP homebrews, but native PSV code, isn’t it awesome?

This project is based on a PSV exploit he found (there are no details about this for now, for obvious reasons), but it’s still in its early stages. Just a few lines of code have been written so far (you can find the code on his github), so, back to the title, developers are needed.

If you’re a developer and you want to help, fork the project on github or get in touch with yifanlu on /talk or on IRC (#vitadev on EFnet). If you’re not a developer, there’s nothing for you…yet. But it’s still an awesome news, isn’t it?

And please, avoid asking useless questions: there’s no release date yet and it doesn’t work for now, just be patient for now and let the developers do their job.

Yifan Lu will eventually post updates about this project on his blog or on twitter, so make sure to follow him.

Last but not least, congratulations to yifanlu for his Vita hack

So 1yrs Playstation Plus is on Sale atm (not sure if shorter versions are also?) and I'm kind of tempted!

Do you have to stay subscribed in the future though in order to keep your downloads active, or how does it work?... Although that probably isn't the case, in case they stopped doing it.

Also, wanting to purchase my first downloads form the Playstation Store... CrashTeamRacing, Beyond Good & Evil, SotC, Journey, Jet Set Radio...

How does everyone on here usually buy stuff... just use your credit card (very slight hacker concerns)... or buy a PSN card off Amazon for example?... Are there any Digital Card options/Other options for buying PSN stuff? And where might be the cheapest deals?

A thankyou.

Once you are a member of PS+ you get free downloads and offers every month.

The free games disappear once your sub ends, but if you subscribe again then you have them for download again.

The games you bought at a discount price are still yours though.

I usually add credit via a PSN card. Many online shops, such as Shopto, just send the code to you instantly via email.

I'm looking at hotukdeals at the moment and these may interest you.

There also seem to be some previous Playstation Plus games still up on there at the moment such as Red Dead Redemption and Infamous 2?... which are priced as being free to Playstation Plus members (if I remember rightly). Are these now being classed as purchase games and so won't dissapear, as opposed to the ones you're given monthly?

Thanks for those links.

OK cheers.

Not sure I like that idea really. Although I'd like to think money wouldn't be so tight in the future that I couldn't re-subscribe, but there's just something about not fully owning a game.
