I'll admit the overall design is great on all of them and the characters, but I just found them very boring and as I don't instantly burst into laughter upon seeing Johnny Depp/Cap'n Jack Sparrow, I didn't think they were very funny.

Also Orlando Bloom lost the ability to act in this film. (Assuming he had any? Not sure)

Orlando Bloom was really boring yeah. Jack Sparrow was entertaining in the first one and occasionally in the other two, but not really funny. But then, It takes a bit too much to make me laugh in films/TV. Except Arrested Development.

I just didn't get what was going on in the third one. Like...Elizabeth was Calypso, but actually, no, it's that woman from the second one, who is ALSO MADE OF CRABS. Let's NOT explain who's who.

Guy Ritchie to direct LOBO

Warner Bros. has locked Guy Ritchie to direct “Lobo,” the live action adaptation of the DC Comics drama about an alien interstellar bounty hunter.

Don Payne wrote the most recent script draft, and Joel Silver, Akiva Goldsman and Andrew Rona will produce. Pic is a co-production between Silver Pictures and Weed Road.

Ritchie will make the film his follow-up to “Sherlock Holmes,” the Silver-produced film that stars Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law and Rachel McAdams, which Warner Bros. opens Christmas Day.

Production on “Lobo” begins early next year. The character originated in 1983 in “Omega Men,” written by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen. Lobo has had several comic incarnations. In the film, he is a seven-foot tall, blue-skinned, indestructible and heavily muscled anti-hero who drives a pimped out motorcycle, and lands on Earth in search of four fugitives who are bent on wreaking havoc. Lobo teams with a small town teenaged girl to stop the creatures.

WB is aiming for a PG-13 rating. Pic will be strong on visual effects, and Ritchie will bring the irreverent, gruff tone of past films like "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels."

Steve Richards and Kerry Foster will be executive producers.

With all the attention on Disney’s Marvel deal, the Ritchie deals gives WB yet another production start through its DC Comics banner. Silver and Goldsman are producers on “The Losers,” while Goldsman is a producer on “Jonah Hex.” WB recently set Ryan Reynolds to play the title character in the Martin Campbell-directed “Green Lantern.” DC Comics is a WB-owned entity, and Gregory Noveck steers the film adaptations for DC.

Ritchie is repped by CAA.

3D prescription glasses (ie standard prescription glasses + 3D element) are in the works for all those who are concerned about the apparent future leaving them out. No details on price or whatnot at present.

Also coming; designer 3D glasses.

Courtney Cox and David Arquette have already signed on, but Neve Campbell has also just signed on for Scream 4. Everyones back! Yay! Screams original script writer is back too, it's just up to Wes Craven to decide now.

If Wes ends up signing on, I'll let out a massive orgasmic scream.

Disney to release 14 classic films on Blu-Ray

List;

"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" - October 6th

"Beauty and the Beast" - 2010

"Fantasia" - 2010

"Fantasia 2000"

"The Lion King"

"Bambi"

"Cinderella"

"Lady and the Tramp"

"The Little Mermaid"

"Peter Pan"

"The Jungle Book"

"101 Dalmatians"

"Sleeping Beauty"

"Pinocchio"

Then they are to release two films every year (apparently it takes a long time eh?) which means we'll see the end of that list in 2015. Yikes. Although it seems silly they're not releasing Fantasia 2000 in 2010...

Oh and of course being Disney they're out for a limited time then locked in the vault.

The only one that springs to mind is Journey to the Centre of the Earth which I think had the two file types on the disc and paper style glasses. Dunno if the cinema version was paper glasses but I don't see why they don't use the plastic type because cinemas never ask for them back. I've got two pairs somewhere.

Thomas the Tank Movie in the works.

I had no idea Alec Baldwin voiced the conductor in the US version, and played him in the live action movie. Quite fitting thinking about it.

Also Friends movie rumours are popping up again. This times James Michael Tyler (I think his name is, guy who played Gunther) has said scripts are in the works. He also said he hopes he's included because he loved working for it blah blah blah but obviously he's done nothing since. Personally I hope he's not included. Character was so one-note anyway.
