Konfucius Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 According to web.de Amy Winehouse will write and perform the song to the next Bond film "Quantum of Solace" And the Pilot Episode of Star Wars The Clone Wars, which apparently will be settled between Ep2 and 3 won't air on TV but instead gets a cinema release. With the US release marked for 15.8.2008 and the German release surprisingly a day earlier, the 14th; if we are to believe treknews.de
Slaggis Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 According to web.de Amy Winehouse will write and perform the song to the next Bond film "Quantum of Solace" That's a rather good choice, she would definitely fit with the James Bond titles. Though since Goldfrapp were rumoured to be doing it last time, I've been hoping they'd get asked.
killthenet Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Apparently they're remaking "Short Circuit" as well. Dreadful idea. The original is burned into my brain as a prominent childhood memory. I'll only condone it if they cast R.O.B in the role of Johnny 5 and Miyamoto in Guttenberg's role.
Cube Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 According to web.de Amy Winehouse will write and perform the song to the next Bond film "Quantum of Solace" You mean I'll have to listen to her grating voice when I watch the film? I'll have to get some earplugs.
Dan_Dare Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 if you don't like winehouse as a singer, you need help.
Slaggis Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 You mean I'll have to listen to her grating voice when I watch the film? I'll have to get some earplugs. Lol. You may not like her songs, but you can't deny her singing ability is pretty amazing.
Oxigen_Waste Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Lol. You may not like her songs, but you can't deny her singing ability is pretty amazing. Haggis, deliverer of truth.
Cube Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Lol. You may not like her songs, but you can't deny her singing ability is pretty amazing. I don't mind her songs. It's her voice I can't stand.
triforcemario Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 According to web.de Amy Winehouse will write and perform the song to the next Bond film "Quantum of Solace" Oh christ, NO! I'll use that opportunity to pop to the loo and buy some popcorn, in that case.
killthenet Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 You canand deny that her moles ability to sing is second to none.
welsh_gamer Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Disney films that are scheduled for release over the next few years :- WALL*E - June 2008Bolt - November 2008 Up - May 2009 The Princess and the Frog - Christmas 2009 Toy Story (3D) - October 2009 Toy Story 2 (3D) - February 2010 Toy Story 3 - June 2010 Rapunzel - Christmas 2010 Newt - summer 2011 The Bear and the Bow - Christmas 2011 Cars 2 - summer 2012 King of Elves - Christmas 2012 A sequel to The Incredibles would have been much better than Cars 2, but it's good to see Disney going back to making films based upon fable's and fairy tales.
ReZourceman Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 According to web.de Amy Winehouse will write and perform the song to the next Bond film "Quantum of Solace" Please tell me you are fucking shitting me....
killthenet Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Disney's line up wasn't looking too exciting to me until I realised that King Of Elves is infact adapted from a Philip K Dick short story, his only work in the field of fantasy. Should be interesting to see what Disney do with it, but i'd love to see Pixar tackle one of PKD's novels. A Pixar adaptation of "Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said" would have classic written all over it.
Daft Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 According to web.de Amy Winehouse will write and perform the song to the next Bond film "Quantum of Solace" How is my day going?...RUINED NOW!
Jamba Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 According to web.de Amy Winehouse will write and perform the song to the next Bond film "Quantum of Solace" I don't mind her singing it. But writing it? Ahhh well, as long as I don't have to see her face.
ReZourceman Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 (Glad to see more Winehouse haters. I think the world would be better if she faded away and wasnt a celebrity. Well my world at least)
welsh_gamer Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 winehouse. fuck. It's only a rumour. Nothing's been confirmed yet. Tony Christie was rumoured to be doing Casino Royale's theme tune for months, until they announced Chris Cornell was doing it in July 2006. I'm sure we'll hear some more concrete information in a few months. If it is Winehouse though, let's hope she doesn't get a cameo, like Madonna got in Die Another Day.
killthenet Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 More crackwhore than emo. And who gives a shit. It's Bond!
Konfucius Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Oh man I think I never got quoted so much Well no I'm not shitting anyone. I'm not actually too fond of that choice myself but I say let's wait and see, the film is still a while off and much can change.
Dante Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 DreamWorks has acquired rights to the Japanese manga "Ghost in the Shell" with plans to adapt the futuristic police thriller as a 3-D live-action feature. Story follows the exploits of a member of a covert ops unit of the Japanese National Public Safety Commission that specializes in fighting technology-related crime. Created by Masamune Shirow, "Ghost in the Shell" was first published in 1989. It went on to generate two additional manga editions, three anime film adaptations, an anime TV series and three videogames. The second anime film, "Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence," was released in the U.S. by DreamWorks in 2004. Avi Arad, Ari Arad and Steven Paul of Seaside Entertainment are attached to produce and brought the project to the studio. Jamie Moss has been tapped to pen the adaptation. Universal and Sony were also chasing "Ghost in the Shell," but Steven Spielberg took personal interest in the property and made it happen at DreamWorks. " 'Ghost in the Shell' is one of my favorite stories," Spielberg said. "It's a genre that has arrived, and we enthusiastically welcome it to DreamWorks." DreamWorks prexy of production Adam Goodman said "Ghost in the Shell" is a property "that epitomizes 3-D live-action motion picture possibilities." Avi Arad is at the forefront of comicbook-based material, having produced the three "Spider-Man" films, the three "X-Men" movies, the two "Fantastic Four" picss and the upcoming "Iron Man" and "The Incredible Hulk." Moss' writing credits include "Street Kings," which bowed Friday, and "Last Man Home," in development at Universal. Other animes that are turning into movies are: Astro Boy AKIRA Battle Angel DragonBall Z Evangelion Gatchaman Hellsing Monster Speed Racer Voltron 20th Century Boys
Roostophe Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I'd like to see how a GitS live-action film would be like. It's the sort of anime that would work as a live-action film, but I can't imagine a real-life version of the characters, like the Major or Batou. Do you reckon the Tachikomas will be in the film as well? I'd like to see that.
Oxigen_Waste Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 What's the fucking point with all these remakes? I mean, I understand Battle Angel Alita & 20th century boys. But all the others had decent anime adaptions, so why bother? Hollywood is going down the drain, I tell you.
