Dante Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I just noticed that use MGS tracks and PacMan tune in the song.
Gizmo Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I just noticed that Hadouken! - What She Did use MGS tracks and PacMan tune in the song. On The Brink by Yellowcard has the "Round One - Fight!" and "You Lose" sound effects from Street Fighter
Dan_Dare Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Pretty sure SFII crops up on the Boys Noize LP, too. In fact, they have many great samples.
Dog-amoto Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 to do so is madness Don't forget my hair rockin friend, new Motley Crue album out next week. Saints of Los Angeles. Sounds awesome what I've heard so far, can't wait!
The Bard Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Motley Crue are the epitome of all I hate about the world.
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I'm addicted to All My Friends by LCD Soundsystem. I heard it in a bar, and then BAM! It's stuck in my head. Like a bullet. I also can't get Transmission by Joy Division out of my head. DANCE DANCE DANCE DANCE DANCE TO THE RADIO!
Dan_Dare Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 that's because they're both fucking amazing beyond human comprehension.
The Bard Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I thought that was your face. (buuurrrn!) That's a close second
Paj! Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I found Jagged Little Pill at the bottom of a box of CD's in my room and thought I'd give it a listen. Apart from a couple of tracks, it didn't really excite me too much on the first listen. After a couple of times though, I'm really getting into it. I'd completely forgotten how much I loved "Ironic". Oh my days... IMO, Ironic is the worst on the album, and prolly the worst song she's ever done. It's one of the few of hers I always skip past. All I Really Want, Oughta Know and Forgiven are way better. This conversation is literally 13 years out of date. Stale and mildewed.
Dan_Dare Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Because I was too busy rockin my face off to U.N.C.L.E
DCK Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Era Vulgaris is just wow. I've had it for so long there, just sitting on my drive, thinking it was a bit meh... But it's grown so much on me. I think it's the Queens' best album. That includes Songs for the Deaf. The five first songs are just so hypnotizingly good.
Roostophe Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Now is a good time for me to call myself a tosser, for not listening to Serj Tankian's album before now. It's immense! :awesome:
Ganepark32 Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Listening to theSTART's latest album Ciao, Baby. 'Tis fantastic. Now hurry up and come back to the UK. I missed them last time they were heard because I was at a HIM concert
Guest Maase Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Listening to The Sounds, pretty awesome. The only thing that makes me sick is Maja always selling herself in the Videoclips, like showing the Underwear 15 times per minute, even tough she's kinda hot.
Ganepark32 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 ^ I hear what you're saying there. The Sounds are a great band but the Painted By Numbers video was just weird with all the underwear shots every couples of seconds.
Davey_T Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Anyone else heard Biffy Clyros new song? Was debuted on radio 1 the other day and its a beaut.
Paj! Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 I could like the sound of Flyleaf. I originally avoided them like the plague, but her voice has grown on me. Also, has anyone got/heard the new Sigur Ros album? When's it out?
Guest Maase Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 ^ I hear what you're saying there. The Sounds are a great band but the Painted By Numbers video was just weird with all the underwear shots every couples of seconds. Yep, it was exactly in that videoclip where i got that impression. Still, is a great band, so i just don't see the Videoclips :P
EchoDesiato Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Era Vulgaris is just wow. I've had it for so long there, just sitting on my drive, thinking it was a bit meh... But it's grown so much on me. I think it's the Queens' best album. That includes Songs for the Deaf. The five first songs are just so hypnotizingly good. Fuck yeah. I hope they'll have their new album ready sometime next year. There's usually a two year gap between them.
killthenet Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Saw My Bloody Valentine on Saturday night. Most of the set was pretty good, and they played "Thorn", which is pretty much their best track, but the last half an hour was fucking awesome. 128 decibels and 30 minutes of intense, high pitched noise that caused everything in the place to rumble. I only wish it had been a little more dissonant, but you can't have everything.
