The Bard Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 still see ur a dick when it comes to what other people like Nope, I'm just honest.
Charlie Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 What's that song called where it goes "but it's allllright" quite a few times in a row at the chorus? I always think they sound similar to The Fratellis' but unless it's a new song it's not by them... They always play it at the Union on a Tuesday night and I always try to find it when I get home but never can...
Bren Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Nope, I'm just honest. if u got a problem, its ur fucking problem (green street ftw). I like music i can have a good time to, and thats hip hop, more fun in a club for me, so get over it. I used to be into metal (well korn, metallica slipknot etc) but i grew out of it, it just isnt my thing, i dont slate u for liking it. so, anyone into em? *not looking at all the guitar music god people*
The Bard Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 if u got a problem, its ur fucking problem (green street ftw). Boy, aren't you a bastion of bad taste. Not only that, but you're fucking ignorant too. The only metal band there is Metallica, and what did you listen to? Load? Reload? Maybe a bit of St. Anger? Get the fuck out.
Bren Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 ha i knew that was coming, sry for not knowing the in and outs of a genre, i find it easier to say one overall coz most ppl kno wot u mean. St Anger was wank, mainly listened to master of puppets, justice for all and the self titled one, they were fun to play along too. anyways, i cant be assed talking to you about, because i couldnt really care less and will never agree, so its pointless Anyone else into hip hop on here? particulary british?
Cube Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I've actually just listened to OK Computer for the first time properly. Wow, what have i been bloody missing for 10 years?!? Well done. I get to the third track, get bored and change CD.

The fish Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 The new The Eagles album is much, much better than I expected. It's truly awesome. :awesome:

I used to be into metal (well korn, metallica slipknot etc) but i grew out of it, it just isnt my thing, i dont slate u for liking it. so, anyone into em? *not looking at all the guitar music god people* Hip Hop is great. I love it. Except what you listen to is shit. Sorry Skunk, it's the truth.
Daft Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 WOOOOO EFFING HOOOOO!!! I just bought 2 tickets to see Justice at the Brixton Academy.....oh yeah, and the Klaxons are playing. Does anyone know of a website like GamesTracker which you sign on to and list the bands you like and then it notifies you by e-mail when live dates are available??
CoolFunkMan Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I saw Foo Fighters live in Birmingham last night, it was bloody brilliant!! Part way through the gig a smaller stage was lowered from the ceiling into the centre of the arena, and they played a few acoustic songs! There were a few sound problems with the speakers at that point, and I couldn't really see them whilst they were there (I was about 15 rows from the front of the main stage), but it was still great! Serj was fantastic support act too, but the majority of the crowd were a bit rubbish and just stood there whilst he was on. The Foos setlist was awesome too, here's one I managed to find: Let it Die The Pretender Times Like These Breakout Long Road To Ruin DOA Learn to Fly Cheer Up Boys Stacked Actors -- Acoustic set-- Skin and Bones Marigold My Hero Cold Day in The Sun But, Honestly Everlong (leading into Main stage) MonkeyWrench All My Life --Encore-- In Your Honor This is A Call Generator Alone + Easy Target Best of You
DCK Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 That is a great setlist, that! Wish I was there, missed the Foo concert in Oberhausen because my mates hardly know them and I had no-one to go with...
weeyellowbloke Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Been listening to múm loads over the past few days and loving it. They're from Iceland, a little Sigor Ros-y slammed together with Arcade Fire-esque tinge with slightly sinister undertones. Click for listening.
McMad Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 The new The Eagles album is much, much better than I expected. It's truly awesome. :awesome: They've still got it after 27 years?! *starts searching the internets*
James_banned Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Anyone else into hip hop on here? particulary british? British hip-hop I listen to Plan B, JME and Dizzee Rascal. Might download some Lethal Bizzle as well. Well done. I get to the third track, get bored and change CD. I don't even get that far.
Sanchez Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 *screams really loudly* Me, Paj Meen Ah, and 3 other friends are going to that too! *Plans to attend gig harder* N-Europe meet up. 8)
Mr-Paul Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Plain White T's had sold out. Well annoyed. They were still in stock last night. :(
killthenet Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Don't compare Mum to Sigur Ros and The Arcade Fire. Mum are far better than those morons.
Ramar Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 So I've stumbled across a pre-sale link to Linkin Park's UK tour. But it says Fan Club Pre-sale. It's on Ticketmaster and doesn't ask for any fan club information, do you reckon its safe to get some tickets or wait for general. Don't want to buy some them then get asked for a fan club membership card on the door.
Mr-Paul Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Plain White T's had sold out.Well annoyed. They were still in stock last night. :( Yay I have tickets now. Thanks to DomJcg for finding me them on the internets! i am happy now

They're from Iceland, a little Sigor Ros-y slammed together with Arcade Fire-esque tinge with slightly sinister undertones. Click for listening. Arcade Fire-esque?????? :shakehead :shakehead Insult! Don't compare Mum to Sigur Ros and The Arcade Fire. Mum are far better than those morons. Hmm, I rather fucking love múm. Fuck The Arcade Fire. Sigur Rós>múm. And there's no need to explain why, is there? It's nice to see that the people in these forums are always completely outdated discovering these bands. Stop listening to shite, will you? (killthenet, just so you know, you and a handfull more people are the exception to this rule. I'm glad we co-exist in here).

(killthenet, just so you know, you and a handfull more people are the exception to this rule. I'm glad we co-exist in here). Seems I've touched a nerve with the god of music. I don't reckon an Arcade Fire comparison is an insult, I too was slightly indifferent to them until I saw them Glastonbury before Bjork and was blown away (although Bjork topped them, natch). Seems odd, someone says they're listening to a band you don't like and you have a go and then someone says they're listening to a band you like and you again have a go for not listening to them sooner. And where did I say I'd only just discovered them, I just sayed I've been listening to them a lot recently and recommended them, seeing as this seems to be one of the points of the thread. Anyway, on that subject I would like to take this opportunity to say Psychedelic Furs are pretty tasty if you like your early 80's post-punk new wave. *Awaits backlash*
DCK Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I don't see how you can slate the Arcade Fire like that Oxigen_Waste. You may not like their style but they undeniably have a lot of talent. I love them.
