killthenet Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 You've got to give Kayne West some leway though, he's just trying to cover up his piss poor production.
Hem Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 ... More like his great production covers up his inability to rap? Anyway, if I had to make a playlist it would probably look something like this: Good Morning Through The Wire Stronger Slow Jamz The Glory Can't Tell Me Nothing Diamonds from Sierra Leone Gold Digger Touch The Sky Family Business Never Let Me Down Gone Can't believe you left out 'Gone' Ashmat. It may not be instantly accessible, but that IMO is what puts it above the rest of Kanyes work. The verses by Consequence and Cam'Ron are probably the best work they have ever done, considering their average solo careers.
Portlett Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 personally I don't like Kanyes style of hip hop, im more into stuff like J5, the roots, roots manuva, beasties, tribe called quest etc
DomJcg Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 was awesome gig cheers weird support thou hundred reasons who were really good as well (been fan for a while but didnt even know they were playing) ...forgot name of the other one but the vocals was just screaming and it was really heavy...all the songs sounded the same it'll be your demise i think, another sta locale (yayy!!) that Enter Shikari love
BeerMonkey Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 yea thats the one "your demise" terrible...terrible band

Actually, this might have to go on it. It's a big enough playlist as it is
Hellfire Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 I've tried to like Kanye... but I just can't. I just can't. I hate him with passion.

Ashley Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Putting aside the fact they're naff, how are Linkin Park band of the year? Its not like they made any impact.
Slaggis Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 I have no idea tbh, though I've never really liked them.
Ashley Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Tegan and Sara are coming to the UK next Feb: http://teganandsara.com/ Cant remember who it was that liked them
The Bard Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Save tonight...and fight the break of dawn. NooooooooO! Fucking f®iends got that song stuck in my head, and even putting Demigod on infinite repeat isn't enough to beat it out of my skull. Damn you eagle eye, and your infectious choruses.
Slaggis Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Just watched thr EMA's on MTVone. The Foo Fighters and Avril Lavigne's performances were awesome. It was definitely a good idea to let the Foo Fighters open the show. Also, woo for her winning artist of 2007. Nelly Furtardo looked pissed when they said she'd won, her face was a picture.
Paj! Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Tegan and Sara are coming to the UK next Feb: http://teganandsara.com/ Cant remember who it was that liked them Chairdriver's here and he screamed.
chairdriver Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 *Screams* I need to buy the tickets on Monday morning incase they are sold out. *Sings I Hear Noises* ------------ Quite a cool video, I love the bit where the guitar comes together after all the components unite.
gaggle64 Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Now, I'm actually in the mood for a little softly surreal Sigur Ros, but I'm tired, and when I'm tired I tend to weep very softly while listening to Sigur Ros, so I'm saving that until I'm done with Xbox for the night and I've moved on to the whisky and cornflakes. For manly-men activities like playing Halo 3, I'll be sticking with the strictly heterosexual sounds of Queen and the Bee Gees. Yes. Incidentally, I've discovered that my entire life philosophy, which I developed during my night classes at the school of Hard Knocks and trimming the Buddha's toenails, is summed up in it's entirety by the song "Staying Alive." This is both an elation and an annoyance.
chairdriver Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Can please everyone go sign this petition? Tegan and Sara are awesome.
Slaggis Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 I need to find some more music to listen to, I can't get girlfriend out of my head again, and it's bugging me. I've never heard of Tegan and Sara...are they popular in the states?

I've never heard of Tegan and Sara...are they popular in the states? They are really big in Canada, and marginally famous in USA. I need to see them when they do their UK tour.
Ashley Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 They are really big in Canada, and marginally famous in USA. I need to see them when they do their UK tour. Although they have been featured in a few US shows at least (well...Veronica Mars and Greys but I'm sure theres more that I just don't know about)

Stories From The Sea bu PJ Harvey yesterday. I liked White Chalk, but what I heard of the rock stuff was a lot better. Only 6 quid too. I love it allready.
