  1. Well well well, isn't the timing of this rather interesting Right before MS' event...
  2. Makes sense. You need a NNID to sign up for Miiverse anyway and it's coming to the 3DS by the end of the year...
  3. At this point, MS really does look like this... But as we all know, he always finishes last
  4. I'm in for Shining Force (and of course ACNL), but otherwise meh.
  5. Oh boy... Let your XBL gold subscription lapse and lose access (permanatly perhaps even!?) to all of your purchased games!? Well that's one way to make an already dystopian future look even worse... (though mind you though, this is far from substantiated. He's no CBOAT...)
  6. Not a great week for Wii U, here's hoping that they have a few E3 surprises still up their sleeve to make up for it... Mario & Yoshi is the same version that was released on 3DS BTW, so they're not going to any extra effort this time around (they did it for the 3DS ambassadors) as they are just reusing the ROM they already made for that release. Will probably get Shining Force GG...
  7. Yeah, it is a bit suspicious that we haven't seen it yet... Then again, I'd be shocked if they didn't have any eShop E3 surprises that would necessitate the delay of the typical weekly press release...
  8. Yes it does actually. The guy has a 100% perfect track record when it comes to leaks. He's leaked lots of stuff before like Remember Me (even posting video footage of it around 6 months before it was actually unveiled), Titanfall's Microsoft exclusivity, gameplay details on Dead Space 3 and the Xbox 360 specs.
  9. He has a 100% perfect track record. Has been posting there for about 9 years now... Also he did not mention that ME2 would be an Xbone exclusive, only that it would appear at the E3 conference... (in fact he mentioned earlier on that there's only 1 EA exclusive for Xbone and that's Titanfall - and that's only exclusive for 1 year, after which it comes to Playstation consoles) Dead Rising 3 however IS an exclusive though. He mentioned that one a good few months back. It was originally multiplatform, but Microsoft managed to snap it up as an exclusive some few months ago.
  10. Here it is, at least for MS http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=581089&highlight= Don't think that much of Sony's has leaked yet mind you.
  11. One final set of leaks from You-Know-Who... http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=581089&highlight=
  12. They didn't just do the classic tracks. They also made around half of the character models (and their animation), designed and built the DKCR course and implemented other gameplay features that got used in EAD's tracks (go re-read the Iwata Asks and you'll see) It was most definitely a full collab job. Just because EAD made the base engine, doesn't mean that Retro were just an asset factory.
  13. You act as if Mario Kart has never been co-developed by outside studios before... (In fact it has actually happened twice! And that's not even counting the 3 Namco made Arcade titles!) Given the proper guidance and support from EAD's staff and Hideki Konno himself, I think Sumo could do a great job on MK Wii U! It would also free up EAD's staff to work on other projects as well...
  14. ! Forget Mother 4, it's all about Shigesato Itoi's Salmon Fishing! The $100 million AAA blockbuster sequel to Shigesato Itoi's Bass Fishing!
  15. It gets registered automatically to whatever Club Nintendo account is linked to the 3DS that is used to download the game.
  16. The Xbone situation does feel like a bit of a last stand really doesn't it? A real "Us VS Them" scenario. I think that a crash is inevitable, but it'll only be the traditional "AAA" side of the industry that'll go down in flames (hopefully taking the likes of EA and Microsoft with it). While the F2P bubble will no doubt burst soon (as did the "social" gaming sector not long ago), it'll probably survive in a reduced fashion (perhaps as a subset of the gambling industry). Mobile phone gaming will likely do the same too. Not only is this crash inevitable, but it NEEDS to happen if the industry is to survive. The sooner that the "AAA" model and the big publishers that thrive on it die, the better! My main hope is that the mid-tier (in terms of budget) of gaming will get a chance to thrive once more as a result. As the indie devs rise, hopefully they'll become the new "traditional" developers and go on to make great games that focus on actual gameplay and are made with reasonable budgets.
  17. The info comes from a guy has a 100% perfect track record when it comes to leaks... http://m.neogaf.com/showpost.php?p=61676769&postcount=1933 And yup, an entire generation of games are going to be nuked from existence once those servers get shut down.
  18. Best part about this is that it doesn't even mention the ramifications of what will happen when the servers go down
  19. The fact that the game is coming to 360 and PS3/4 in a year's time is also further proof that that cloud stuff mentioned in that article is total bullshit.
  20. Oh, looks like it's just a 1 year long timed exclusive according to everyone's favourite leaker... http://67.227.255.239/forum/showpost.php?p=61676769&postcount=1933 Heh, shorter timeframe than I had expected
  21. The only reason why it's an exclusive is because EA is in bed with MS and they paid through the nose for it to be exclusive to their consoles. This has been known for months now. And as for the part about it being impossible to run on 360 and it using cloud computing to make the game possible...
  22. Yup, game preservation in general is fucked as a result of this. Want to play your favourite Xbone game 10 years from now? Nope, the servers are gone and thus the game does not exist anymore, you're screwed. Pirates and hackers will have a field day with this console. We can only hope that they are able to preserve the games released for the hardware and can save them from MS' tyrannical ticking time bomb cloud...
  23. Here's the link... http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/main So in short, no private selling, no renting, no borrowing, but you can, at the discretion of specific publishers, trade in your game at "participating retailers" and with a friend on your friends list (who has been on there for at least 30 days) - but only once, where access is removed from your account forever as a result; oh and the default is set to not allow trading of any kind whatsoever (the publisher has to "opt-in" to the scheme...); oh and the publishers take a cut of the retailer's trade-in value (so expect used game prices to rise and trade-in value to plummet) Also the 24 hour reconnection requirement is true (with it only allowing 1 hour of offline access on any console other than the one that was used to purchase/authenticate the game originally), meaning that your entire Xbone collection will be turned into useless coasters as soon as they shut down the servers. So yeah... it's more or less exactly as we feared. Go fuck yourself MS (and fuck you anyone who buys this anti-consumer/book burning POS, YOU are the problem!)
  24. Nintendo's going all hardcore on us now guys! Nah, make it for Wii U. 4 sets of Ice Climbers on the TV, with the gamepad player acting as a bastard Game Master, trying to bring down the mountain (blowing up bombs on the sides with the touch screen, sending enemies after players, breaking blocks underneath them, blowing gusts of wind to try and knock them off etc) before one of those 4 reach the top Would be total madness!
  25. No Hayter, no buy. Simple as (the "gameplay" shown off so far doesn't inspire much confidence either)
