While I'm kinda sad that they've changed Truth, Doubt, Lie to Good Cop, Bad Cop, Accuse; it is definitely a big change for the better. The dialogue choices may make sense now! (even if the responses aren't going to be as ridiculous and laugh out loud funny as in the original...). I enjoyed this the first time around and I'm certainly up for another go around!

Yeah I'm looking forward to this one. It was great fun on PC and it's very pick-up-and-play friendly, making it a great fit for on the go demon blasting fun!

Switch in docked mode is a fundamentally different experience from having a handheld with TV out. Unlike on handhelds that plug into the TV, you aren't teathered to the video cable; the Joy-Cons pop off and function as an entierly seperate controller. The Switch also becomes more powerful when docked, unlike other handhelds. And its interface is designed for both handheld and TV usage, unlike the handhelds with TV out. When it's plugged in, there's nothing to distinguish it as being unlike the console experience. You get splitscreen multiplayer and everything that you would expect from the console experience. It isn't compromised at all (here's your chance for a snarky comment about the whole voice-chat debacle ) So yeah, it being a "portable console" instead of a "dedicated handheld" is perfectly apt. BTW: I'm betting that the chart that Nintendo put out is heavily skewed by Japanese players... Would've been nice to see a regional breakdown.

Graphics comparison for DOOM... And here's some footage of the final retail version... Holy moly! It looks so close to the PS4/Xbone versions! And seems to run at a locked 30FPS. Damned impressive work! This'll make for a nice slice of Xmas fun next to Mario Odyssey! Here's a glimpse into what my Xmas is gonna look like...

Finally just caught up with the Direct. About time the game got a good trailer! That was MUCH better than previous ones! Finally starting to feel some hype I’m even warming up to the art style change a bit (though I still prefer the look of XB1 and XBX). I still get the feeling that it won’t match the heights of the original, but then again, those heights are as lofty as it gets in the world of RPGs, so that’s absolutely fine. It just looks like a really good, solid entry in the series. And the music is SUPERB! Brings joy to my ears to hear ACE back at the helm! I do agree that the Direct probably goes too in-depth into the nitty gritty of the battle system though. I would have liked to see more of a focus on the world itself, but it was still pretty good overall. Now I just need to wait...

It has already been submitted to lotcheck and should be coming out before the end of the year! Rottytops is definitely the best character! They basically admit that it was cut content from the game (it was originally meant to be a section that takes place inside Shantae's memories when she turns into Nega Shantae - before they didn't manage to hit their Kickstarter stretch goal) that has been expanded into its own game mode. But hey! We're finally getting it! Yay!

Yeah, there’s no excuse whatsoever. It’s the literal example of having your cake and eating it. Publishers are absolutely going to abuse the hell out of this concession Nintendo is giving them. They should nip it in the bud right now while they still can.

I'm not the only person who feels that a lot of the original game's look and feel has been lost in this remake am I? Almost all of the "otherworldly haze" that is a trademark of Team Ico's games is absent here...

Too bad kids aren't the ones playing Switches... It's the millenial adults. Switch is well off of being kid friendly in terms of pricing still and kids are still being given handmedown iPads and smartphones. Best we can hope for right now is that they play Nintendo's mobile games (or, if they're extremely lucky, get given 2DS consoles).

(Almost) Everything seems to trucking along nicely. Only surprising thing here is the lack of legs for ARMS. It seems to have fallen off a bit of a cliff... Pokemon S/M is only 290k away from beating X/Y and becoming the first ever Pokemon generation to outsell the previous gen on the same console... Too bad US/UM will stop that from happening

Best bit is that since you can hook the Switch up to a TV, recording your creations, sharing them with those around you and blaring them out of your AV Receiver speakers will be easier and better than ever! Glad to see more “handheld” series like this and Picross surviving the jump! Here’s hoping that there’s plenty more to come!

It’s been a good year, but absolutely not. The answer is either 1998, 2004, 2010 or 2014. Those are all the best years of their respective generations. Every generation always has that one year where everything comes together and we’re still far off from that for Switch.

SOT is not only a fantastic adaptation of the TV show, it’s also a surprisingly good RPG in its own right! It’s clearly based off of Paper Mario and does a great job of melding its battle system with elements from pen & paper RPGs. Certainly the most faithful adaptation of a TV/movie to a game ever made; and it does it while being a great game too! That’s a true rarity! I haven’t played Fractured But Whole yet, but if it’s even half as good as SOT, it’ll still be a must play for fans of the show!

At least it's not AS abusive as we all feared it would be... Looks ok. Like an alternative take on Happy Home Designer, but with a stamina timer on the things you craft (that you can speed up with real life money).

Does this only work with wired controllers or something? I couldn’t get my Wavebirds working on Switch this morning (didn’t have time to try a wired controller). Before anyone asks, yes, I have an official GCN adapter and yes it’s definitely working. I tested it with my Wii U and it’s working just fine. Yes I tried it on the controller connection/Order screen. Edit: Never mind... NWR got it working (they even got it working in portable mode with a USB C adapter!), so I must be doing something stupid...

TBH, I’m pretty sure that the site is done for, regardless of Evilore’s efforts to bring it back online. Nobody reputable is gonna touch it with a 50 foot pole now, the moderating team is gone (and won’t come back) and the community that’ll be on there will basically be total toxic sludge. It’s a total PR disaster, regardless of what he says and does now. It’s done.
